Schroeder, Carlton John
Carlton John Schroeder, 74, Hayward, Wis. and Lake Havasu City, Ariz., passed away Feb. 29, 2008, after a short illness. Carlton was born in Appleton, Wis. in 1933, to Elmer and Harriet Schroeder. He graduated from Appleton High School in 1952. In 1954, Carlton married his high school sweetheart, Carol Rogers, and for 56 years they shared life together not only as companions, but as the best of friends.
He is survived by his son Mark; daughters, Leanne and Carleen; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, a sister and a son, Brian.
Fond family memories include Canadian fishing trips, spending time in the woods playing on his tractor, quiet times by the fire watching for satellites and exploring new territory on his scooter. Carlton will be greatly missed by all who had the opportunity and privilege to know and love him.
A memorial service will be held at a later date for family and close friends.
