Smith, Mildred M.Mildred M. Smith, Kaukauna, age 93, passed away Thursday, June 9, 20 05 at St. Paul Elder Services. Millie was born in Little Chute on August 1 5, 1911, daughter of the late Albert and Susan (Schommer) DeBruin. Mill ie was married to Gerald Smith, who preceded her in death in 1965. Over t he years, she worked as a bookkeeper at both Weyers Implement and Fargo Fu rniture Store in Kaukauna. Millie enjoyed bowling, card playing, and fishi ng. Many will remember that she enjoyed eating her catch as much as she en joyed catching it!Millie is survived by two brothers: Carl (Grace) DeBruin and Cal DeBrui n, both of Kaukauna; three sisters: Betty (Richard) Van Wychen of Kaukaun a; Ruth (Nick) Geurts of Mountain; and Mary Alice (Ralph) Meulemans of Kau kauna; two sisters-in-law: Martha DeBruin and Gloria DeBruin, both of Kauk auna; a brother-in-law, Cliff Weyers of Kaukauna; four step-grandchildre n: Rick, Kay, Ken, and Jim, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relativ es and many friends.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Gerald and his s on Donald Smith, brothers: Alvin, Fritz, and Ray (Honey) DeBruin, sister s: Mae DeBruin and Mary Lou Weyers, and a sister-in-law, Joan DeBruin.The funeral liturgy for Millie will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 1 0, 2005 at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street in Kaukauna wi th Fr. Jack Mullarkey officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemeter y. Friends may call directly at the church on Monday from 9:30 a.m. unt il the hour of the service.The family would like to extend their thanks to all of the wonderful peop le at St. Paul Elder Services.
