    Melvin K. "Bud" Onkels; AppletonAge 70, died on Monday, October 30, 2000, at his home after a long batt le with cancer surrounded by his family. He was born in Kaukauna on July 1 8, 1930, to the late Oscar and Johanna (Verkuilen) Onkels. On September 1 0, 1955, he married Geraldine Knabenbauer. Bud was a veteran of the Kore an Conflict serving in the Army. He worked at Consolidated Construction Co mpany for over 20 years.He will be sadly missed by his wife, Geraldine; children, Daniel Onkels, D ebra (Alan) Crawford, David (special friend, Kay Gasper) Onkels and Dia ne (Jamie) Dontje, all of Appleton; brothers, Eugene Onkels and Robert (Ja n) Onkels, both of Kaukauna; sister, Jane (Ralph) Hacker, Sturgeon Bay; gr andchildren, Adam and Michelle Onkels, David and Andrew Crawford, Amand a, Jessica and Corey Gasper, Samantha and Monica Dontje; other relatives a nd friends.The Funeral Service will be on Friday, November 3, 2000, at 1 p.m. at t he Valley Funeral Home.     Obituary:
    Eugene M. Onkels, 79, Kaukauna died on Friday, March 18, 2011, at Appleton Medical Center. He was born on Oct. 25, 1931, in Kaukauna, son of the late Oscar and Johanna (Verkuilen) Onkels. Eugene served as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army from 1948 to 1952. On Aug. 4, 1953, Eugene married the former Eunice Arnoldussen at St. Mary Catholic Church in Kaukauna. The couple enjoyed 45 years of marriage together prior to her death on Jan. 4, 1999.
    Eugene was a master carpenter and also worked at Appleton Papers in Combined Locks as a machine tender for 45 years. He was an avid Packers fan and enjoyed trips to the casino to play the poker machines. Eugene was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish at St. Mary Church.
    He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, great-grandpa, brother and brother-in-law. He taught family values and was an excellent provider to his family.
    Survivors include his children, Richard, Milwaukee, and his children, Karl and Kassie; Mike (Kathy), Kaukauna, and their children, Christy and Marcus; Ronnie (Laurie), Kenosha; Connie (Hale) Jahn, Portage, and their children, Tanya, Dawn and Jacquelyne; Linda (Doug) Klemp, Appleton, and their daughter, Amanda; Mary (Tom) Paulson, Kaukauna, and their children, Sarah, Nicholas and Erik; Angie Onkels, Texas, and her daughter, Jessica; ten great-grandchildren; one brother and two sisters-in-law, Robert (Jan) Onkels, Kaukauna; and Gerry Onkels, Appleton; and a sister, Jane Hacker, Sturgeon Bay. He is further survived by his wife's family, Marvin and Phyllis Van Deraa, Pat, Jan, Joe, Ervin and Donna, Dale and Mary, and Sr. Mary Arnoldussen, Marvin Hartzheim; numerous nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by a son, Donald, in 1976; a brother, Melvin "Bud"; and a brother-in-law, Ralph Hacker. Eugene is further preceded in death by his wife's family, John (Joyce) Arnoldussen, Gladys (Gus) Sacks, Bernice (Ben) Harris, Gerald, Clayton, Carol and Kathy Arnoldussen, Jenny Hartzheim, Theresa (Walter) Rosenthal and Frank Effa.
    The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 22, 2011, at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH at ST. MARY CHURCH, 119 W. 7th St., Kaukauna, with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating. Friends will be received on Monday, March 21, 2011, at BOETTCHER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna, from 5 to 8 p.m., with a parish prayer service at 8 p.m. concluding the evening. Friends may call again directly at church on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Full Military Rites will take place following services at church.

    Eugene married Arnoldussen, Eunice M. 4 Aug 1953.     Obituary:
    Robert L. Onkels, age 75, of Kaukauna, passed away on Monday, April 16, 2012 at his home with his family by his side. He was born on July 30, 1936 in the Fox Valley, and was united in marriage to Janice Schumacher on April 28, 1962 at St. Mary's Church in Appleton. Robert worked at Thilmany Mill for 44 years working in different areas and retiring as a semi truck driver. Bob loved riding his motorcycle around Wisconsin with Jan as his passenger, and going to different motorcycle rallies.
    Robert is survived by his wife of 49 years: Jan of Kaukauna; one sister: Jane Hacker of Sturgeon Bay; and a sister-in-law: Geraldine Onkels of Appleton. Bob is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Eugene (Eunice) Onkels and Melvin "Bud" Onkels, and one brother-in-law: Ralph Hacker.
    A prayer service for Bob will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at the Greenwood Fargo Funeral Home, 500 Hendricks Avenue in Kaukauna. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 12:00 Noon until the time of the services.
    The family would like to offer their thanks to all of the helpful neighbors and to Heartland Hospice for all their time, care, and support. We will never forget your kindness.
