They had several children, o ne of whom is Mayme Wall born in Askeaton............She was my grandmothe r. She and her immediate family moved to Escanaba MI but John and Hann ah remained in WIShe, Mayme, eventually married Henry A. Martin in Escanaba MI where my fa ther was born. Mayme and 2 children then moved to Milwaukee by 1913. I do have census records for John and Hannah in Town of Holland. I ha ve a marriage certificate for John Jr. and Kate. I'm looking for death ce rtificates for John and Hannah or some type of land ownership document...a lthough I don't know whether they actually owned land or not. I'd also li ke to find out what Hannah's maiden name was . I think they married in Ir eland and came over together but not confirmed. Trying to confirm which t own and County in Ireland they are from. The census records are not detai led for that specific information. I know they are from Ireland....do not have confirmation whether they we re two of "original" settlers of Askeaton or or whether they came a coup le of years later. Census records seem to show they emigrated in mid to l ate 1840's. I don't know whether Askeaton WI still exists or if it was me rged into one of the other townships. Can you help me?     Martin, Michael L. "Mike" Age 71 years. Born to Eternal Life on April 23, 2016. Firstborn of Leslie and Odelia (nee Badke) Martin in Milwaukee, WI on March 5, 1945, attended Mother of Perpetual Help Parish Grade School and Custer High School. Early on, Mike developed a passion for classic cars. Whether driving, restoring or selling them, he collected more than 50 cars in his lifetime, always searching for the next great find. He loved to dance, wander the classic car shows, work the swap meets, and later in life spent most days honing his entrepreneurial skills through the online marketplace. He relocated to Florida in the mid 1990s. In 2014, he moved with his wife to Palm Springs, CA. For the last 23 weeks, Mike had been struggling with long-term recovery from severe injuries he sustained in a traffic accident (pedestrian vs car) near his home. Preceded in death by his parents and young son, Daniel, Mike is survived by his wife, Nancy (nee Schumann); children, David (Lisa) of Los Angeles, CA, Thomas of Hartford, WI, Jenny (Jason) Turnley of Kissimmee, FL, and Jake (Katiana) of San Diego, CA; also grandchildren, Alyssa, Matthew, Natalea and Jacob. He will be dearly missed by siblings Randall (Pat) and Gary of Milwaukee, WI and Eileen (Joe) Kocherhans of San Diego, CA. The family would like to thank the caring staff of Palm Springs Desert Regional Hospital, Kindred Hospital-San Diego, and Premiere Care Center-Palm Springs for their help during his stays.
