    I am searching for ancestor Heinrich Christoph Dix, his wife Clara (Weinra th) Dix, their daughter Clara (Dix) Miller and her husband William Mille r. Clara Weinrath Dix is recorded as died in Woodville 1882..however, ha ve never been able to find her burial location or death date and place f or the others. Believe strongly they are all in or near Woodville, and a r eliable family source believes they may be in the small Lutheran Church Ce metery (believe it is St. Johns) as there are a few other family members b uried there.If you think you may be able to help (all fingers and toes are crossed her e) I would love to hear from you, and I can give you additional detai ls if needed. As brick walls go, this one is a doozy, and I would love dea rly to solve it.     Mrs. Bornemann Dies On Tuesday At Son's Home
    Chilton. - (Special) - Mrs. Clara Bornemann, died at the home of her son, Henry, at Kiel, Tuesday after a two and half years' illness.
    Mr. and Mrs. Bornemann had been living with their son since Thanksgiving. Deceased was born March 3, 1868, in Town Woodville, Calumet county, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Dix. She was married to Ernst Bornemann May 28, 1888, and celebrated their golden wedding anniversary three years ago.
    Survivors are her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Mollie Alten of Chilton, Mrs. Clara Tennesen of Hollandtown, and Mrs. Lena Mathers of Fond du Lac; a son, Henry, of Kiel; a brother, Henry Dix of Iowa; a sister, Mrs. Mary Arndt; 16 grandchildren.
    A son, Ernst, of Chilton, died five and a half years ago.
    Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. a the Pfeffer Funeral home and at 2 p.m. at St. Martin's Lutheran church at Chilton. The Rev. Carl Ramthun will officiate and burial will be made in Hilbert cemetery. The body can be viewed at the funeral home beginning this evening.

The survivors are his widow, two daughters, Mildred and Helen; five brothers, William and Phillip Dix of Kaukauna and Henry Killian of Kaukauna, Andrew Killian of Manitowoc and Adolph Killian of Washington; two sisters, Mrs. R.     MRS. FREDERICK ALTEN
    Mrs. Frederick Alten, 74, formerly of Chilton, died at Calumet Memorial Hospital Thursday where she had been a patient for 10 days. For the past 10 years she had lived with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Burbey, Two Rivers.
    The former Mollie Bornemann, she was born Dec. 12, 1891, at St. John, Wis., the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Bornemann, and was married Oct. 12, 1915, in the Town of Woodville. Mr. Alten died Oct. 7, 1947.
    Surviving are five sons, Douglas, Jerome, Marvin and Frederick, all of Chilton, and Olan, Minott, N.D.; two daughters, Mrs. Wayne (Audrey) Stoecker, Appleton and Mrs. Herman (Ruth) Burbey, Two Rivers; 13 grandchildren; a brother, Henry Bornemann, Kiel; one adopted brother, Steve DoBas, Sheboygan; two sisters, Mrs. Frank Tennessen, Kaukauna, and Mrs. Lena Mathers, Fond du Lac.
    Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Martin's Lutheran Church, Chilton, with the Rev. Martin Novotney, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery.
    Friends may call at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Chilton, from 3 p.m. Saturday until 11 a.m. Sunday and then at the church.

    Gladys S. (Dix) Frassetto, age 94, Little Chute, passed away on July 21, 2015. She was born in Kaukauna, the daughter of the late William and Alfreida (Koehne) Dix. Gladys married Alphonso Frassetto on July 20, 1946. He preceded her in death in November of 1994. Their marriage was blessed with three children. She graduated from Kaukauna High School. Gladys was employed at Woolworth's for many years. She was an exemplary homemaker who enjoyed bread baking, canning, needlework and card games. Gladys was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, the Golden Agers and Holy Name Mission clubs for many years.
    Gladys is survived by her three children: Richard, Neil (Connie) and Shari (Matt) Hanna; 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, 4 brothers and numerous other relatives and friends.

    Robert "Bob" R. Dix, 63, Brillion, passed away on March 18, 2011, at Garrow Villa in Brillion, following a brief illness. Bob was born on Aug. 25, 1947, in Appleton, son of Helen and the late Victor Dix.
    He was employed as a truck driver and traveled the country with the Brillion Iron Works for 32 years. Bob served our country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He loved to travel, hunt and fish.
    Bob is survived by his mother, Helen Dix; his two daughters, Tracy Schreiber, Pulaski; and Gina Dix, Green Bay; three grandchildren, Jackie and Jenna Diederich, and Garrett Spranger; five siblings, Patricia (Norman) Eickert, Brillion; Gale (friend, Rick Hansen), Iron River; Kenneth Dix, Greenleaf; Gerald Dix, Brillion; and Terrence (Connie) Dix, Chilton; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, other relatives and many friends.
    He was preceded in death by his father, Victor; and two sisters-in-law, Nancy and Judy Dix.
    Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 22, 2011, at the Wieting Funeral Home in Brillion. Officiating at the service will be Rita Heraly.     Ronald H. Dix, 74, Combined Locks, passed away peacefully on Friday, Feb. 25, 2011, with his family by his side at Manor Care in Appleton. He said the Angels were there for him! Ron was born on Feb. 27, 1936, in Kaukauna, the son of the late Herman and Virginia (Hamer) Dix. On Sept. 1, 1956, he married Shirley Kappell at St. Mary Catholic Church in Appleton. Ron was employed at U.S. Oil Company for 40 years. He graduated from Kimberly High School in 1955 and enjoyed playing football, basketball and umpiring many baseball games. He loved being sarcastic and making people laugh! Ron spent a lot of time with his family, taking them fishing and camping, and going to the park, zoo or cottage. These good times will never be forgotten!
    Ron is survived by his wife, Shirley Dix; children, Dave (Pam) Dix, Jean (Santos) Anaya, Tom (Tina) Dix, Jim (Gail) Dix, Joe (Julie Remmel) Dix and Mark (Brenda) Dix; 15 grandchildren, Tiffany (Shane), Juanita (Andy), Mario (Lindsey), Tommy (Lindsey), Trenton, Jon, Rob, Mike, Olivia, Ali, Ashley, Missy (Kurry), Chad, Breanna and Tony; and six great-grandchildren.     The funeral service for Ronald will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1, 2011, at JANSEN FARGO FUNERAL HOME. A time of visitation and support will be held on Tuesday from 3 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in his name.

    Cotnoir, Janet M. Janet Mary Cotnoir, age 73, passed away on Monday, December 27, 2010. She was born October 1, 1937 in Appleton to the late Herman and Virginia Hammon Dix. She married her late husband of 52 years, Richard Cotnoir, on March 2, 1957. Janet was a dedicated homemaker who enjoyed cooking for her family and craft making. She loved to spend time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. Janet is survived by her children: Michael Cotnoir of Little Chute, Randall Cotnoir of Town of Harrison, Kathy Scott Strebe of Menasha, Steven Greta Cotnoir of Combined Locks; grandchildren: Luke Strebe, Hannah Cotnoir and Zack Cotnoir; great-granddaughters: Ava Strebe and Lilly Strebe; brothers: Ronald Shirley Dix, Daniel Dix; and good friends, Willie Lois Rowe of Kimberly. Funeral Services for Janet will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at the Jansen-Fargo Funeral Home, with Chaplain Jordan Kuczwara officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service.     Michael (Mike) Cotnoir, age 59, died unexpectedly on Sunday, April 23, 2017. He was born on October 3, 1957 in Appleton, WI to Richard and Jan (Dix) Cotnoir. Mike enjoyed hunting and fishing, particularly for Muskie which he fished for competitively in many local tournaments. His happiest moments were spent at home with Kathy and their two cats, Bing and Babe. Mike is survived by a special friend of 17 years, Kathy Dorn, and her son Allan and daughter Krystal; Sister and Brother-in-Law, Kathy and Scott Strebe; Brothers: Steve Cotnoir and Randy Cotnoir; Nephews: Luke and Zack and a Niece, Hannah.     James Rosenthal, age 50, of Appleton, passed away at ManorCare in Appleton on Thursday, February 19, 2015. James was born on November 12, 1964, in Kaukauna to Carol Sue (Dix) Rosenthal and the late Wilmer Rosenthal. James was well-known for his efforts to help those in need. He was an enthusiastic volunteer at the Salvation Army Community Garden in Appleton and the St. Vincent De Paul Store.
    Survivors include his mother, Carol Sue Rosenthal; his daughter, Sarah (Andy) Engel; his siblings, Greg Rosenthal; Kip (Nicole) Rosenthal; Rob (Monique) Rosenthal; Kyle (Nina) Rosenthal; Justine (Brad) Knope; and Ryan (Rosey) Rosenthal; his nieces and nephews, Ian and Dylan Rosenthal; Kassidy, Kozette and Klaara Rosenthal; Gavin and Rafe Rosenthal; Olivia Rosenthal; Chloe and Carly Knope; and Tala and Liam Rosenthal. He is further survived by many other relatives and friends. James was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents and God parents, Helen and Don Dix; his paternal grandparents, Walter and Alma Rosenthal; and numerous aunts and uncles.
    Memorial services will be at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2015, at FARGO FUNERAL HOME, 400 W. Wisconsin Avenue, Kaukauna, with Rev. Gary Nokleberg officiating.
