    -----------------------------------------

Mrs. L.D. Dallas, formerly Mary E. Gardner, was born in Bloomington, Delaware, Sept. 15, 1827. At the age of 8 years she moved with her parents to Ohio, where she resided until her marriage to L.D. Dallas in 1850. In 1857 they moved to Wisconsin, where they resided in several different places, the last being Appleton, where her husband died in 1894. Although in poor health, his wife survived him for 13 years.
After an illness of only a few days, she departed this life Jan. 13, 1907. The shock of her son's death and her advanced age was the immediate cause of death.
She leaves one daughter, Mrs. L.F. Bushley, of Appleton, and a host of friends and relatives to mourn her loss.
The remains were laid at rest in Appleton, Jan. 15.
