    Martin, Michael L. "Mike" Age 71 years. Born to Eternal Life on April 23, 2016. Firstborn of Leslie and Odelia (nee Badke) Martin in Milwaukee, WI on March 5, 1945, attended Mother of Perpetual Help Parish Grade School and Custer High School. Early on, Mike developed a passion for classic cars. Whether driving, restoring or selling them, he collected more than 50 cars in his lifetime, always searching for the next great find. He loved to dance, wander the classic car shows, work the swap meets, and later in life spent most days honing his entrepreneurial skills through the online marketplace. He relocated to Florida in the mid 1990s. In 2014, he moved with his wife to Palm Springs, CA. For the last 23 weeks, Mike had been struggling with long-term recovery from severe injuries he sustained in a traffic accident (pedestrian vs car) near his home. Preceded in death by his parents and young son, Daniel, Mike is survived by his wife, Nancy (nee Schumann); children, David (Lisa) of Los Angeles, CA, Thomas of Hartford, WI, Jenny (Jason) Turnley of Kissimmee, FL, and Jake (Katiana) of San Diego, CA; also grandchildren, Alyssa, Matthew, Natalea and Jacob. He will be dearly missed by siblings Randall (Pat) and Gary of Milwaukee, WI and Eileen (Joe) Kocherhans of San Diego, CA. The family would like to thank the caring staff of Palm Springs Desert Regional Hospital, Kindred Hospital-San Diego, and Premiere Care Center-Palm Springs for their help during his stays.
