    Leona (Vissers) Nackers, 93, Town of Wrightstown, passed away on January 5, 2009. She was born on November 19, 1915, in the Town of Lawrence to the late Martin and Cecilia (Wilmet) Vissers. On May 24, 1938, Leona married Sylvester Nackers at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in De Pere. Sylvester and Leona farmed all of their life in Wrightstown.
    Leona was a member of the Christian Mother's Society at St. Paul's Parish in Wrightstown. She did volunteer work at St. Vincent de Paul, Green Bay. Leona loved her grandchildren, playing cards, doing crossword puzzles and oil painting. She was an excellent seamstress.
    Leona is survived by her children; two daughters and one son-in-law: Marjorie Dupont, Wrightstown; Mary and Mark Chan, Chicago; two sons and daughters-in-law: Eugene and Diane Nackers, Eagle River; Edward and Janice Nackers, Appleton; all of her very special foster children; 19 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; three sisters: Verona Van Lanen, De Pere; Joanne Roznowski, Green Bay; Elsie Kempen, De Pere; one brother and sister-in-law, Bernard and Lillian Vissers, De Pere.
    Leona was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Sylvester Nackers, on January 9, 1996; one son, Robert; one daughter, Mary Lucille; her parents; two sisters, Agnes Vande Hei and Frances Vande Hei; two brothers, Lawrence Vissers and Robert Vissers; two infant sisters.
    Family and friends may call at DeWane-Cotter Funeral Home, 711 Main Street, Wrightstown, on Tuesday, January 6, 2009, (TODAY) from 4 to 8 p.m. A Parish Wake Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, January 7, 2009, at St. Paul Catholic Church, 437 Main St., Wrightstown, after 10 a.m. until the hour of funeral mass. Mass of Christian burial will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at church, with Fr. Tri Tran and Fr. Dennis Bergsbaken concelebrating. Interment will be in St. Paul Catholic Cemetery.     Robert Vissers, 78, De Pere, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2000. He was born April 24, 1921, in Ashwaubenon, to the late Martin and Cecelia (Wilmet) Vissers. Bob married the former Jeanette Vanden Heuvel on Aug. 21, 1943, at Immaculate Conception Church, in Oneida. He worked at Fort Howard for 36 years before retiring in 1983, and was a member of the Quarter Century Club. Bob was also a member of Golden K and was a volunteer at the St. Vincent DePaul Society. He enjoyed going up north and spending time with his family. Bob was a loving father, grandfather, and was a faithful member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, De Pere. He also enjoyed playing cards, woodworking and gardening. Bob will be sadly missed by his children, grandchildren and great-grandsons.

    Elsie (Vissers) Kempen passed away May 7, 2012, after a year long battle with cancer. She was born August 27, 1922, in West De Pere, to the late Martin and Cecilia Vissers. She graduated from St. Joseph's grade school in De Pere and won a 4 year scholarship to St. Joseph's Girls Academy in Green Bay. On June 8, 1944, she married Clarence Kempen and moved to the Kempen family farm in Freedom, Wisconsin. She was a church organist for many years at St. Joseph, St. Boniface, and Our Lady of Lourdes churches in De Pere. She loved to play cards and do volunteer work at Rennes Health Center and the St. Vincent De Paul store. Elsie and Clarence moved to De Pere in 1953 where they raised five children, Judy Baxter, Kentucky; Joan (John) Bennesh, Florida; Elaine (Peter) Antcliffe, Cambridge, WI; Ellen, Cross Plains, WI; and Ken, De Pere. She is survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, a sister, Joanne (Mike) Roznowski, Green Bay; and a brother, Bernard (Lillian) Vissers, De Pere. Elsie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Clarence, who died March 31, 1996, an infant daughter Mary and infant son, Joseph, as well as sisters Margaret, Agnes (Harold) Vande Hei, Leona (Sylvester "Bud") Nackers, Verona (Harvey) Van Lanen, Frances (John "Bud") Vande Hei, and brothers Lawrence (Gen) Vissers and Robert (Jeanette) Vissers. She was a loving, caring wife and mother who will be missed forever.
    The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Family corner of Lourdes Ave. and Suburban Drive in De Pere on Saturday, May 12, at 10 a.m. with Fr.     Benard M. Vissers, 87, De Pere, died peacefully on November 19, 2012 with his family by his side. The son of the late Martin and Cecelia (Wilmet) Vissers was born June 3, 1925 in the village of Ashwaubenon. He married Lillian M. (Lil) Van Camp on May 29, 1948 at St. Joseph Church officiated by the late Abbot Bernard Pennings and enjoyed over 64 years of marriage. Bernard worked in Goodyear, AZ for the Goodyear Aircraft Company repairing WWII Liberator Bombers and at Fort Howard Paper Co. for over 40 years. Bernard enjoyed the cottage on Trump Lake in Wabeno playing cards with friends and making hooked rugs for his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed many travels with his wife and friends. He was particularly honored to have shaken hands with Pope John Paul II while in Rome. In his younger years, he enjoyed taking his family on trips in a converted bus. He valued and encouraged education for his children and was greatful for his family. He was a member of Holy Name Society at St. Joseph Church, De Pere, and a member of the 7:30 Daily Mass group at Our Lady of Lourdes Family Parish in De Pere.
    Survivors include his wife, Lil; three children and their spouses, Steven (Betty) Vissers, Green Bay, Dolores (Laurie) Tom Knox, Plymouth, MN, Mike (Anne) Counard, Green Bay; Seven grandchildren and spouses, Jessica Price (special friend John), Jamie Stachura, Sarah Knox, Ian (Emilie) Knox, Jenny (Brian) Boeckman, Ben Counard (special friend Nicole), Greg Counard (special friend Toni); seven great grandchildren, Julia Price, Angelina, Hayden, and Lillia Stachura, Grace Durkin, AJ and Tess Boeckman; one sister, Joanne. He is further survived by Lil's family, Virgil Van Camp, Pembine, Ken (Nancy) Van Camp, Wausaukee, Rita (Clifford) Schimdt, Kaukauna, Marge Calaway, De Pere, Mary (Bob) Miller, Wausaukee, Darlene Van Camp, Green Bay, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; three infant children, Joseph, and twins Martin and John; two brothers and spouses, Lawrence (Jane) Vissers, Robert (Jeanette) Vissers; six sisters and their spouses, Agnes (Harold) Van De Hei, Frances (John) Van De Hei, Elsie (Clarence) Kempen, Leona (Sylvester) Nackers, Verona (Harvey) Van Lannen, and infant sister Margaret Vissers; and brother-in-law Mike Roznowski. On Lil's side he was preceded in death by his parents-in-law, John and Minnie Van Camp, as well as Dolores and Bernard Albers, Fabian and Audrey Van Camp, Cyril Van Camp, Al and Laverne Van Camp, Jerome Calaway, and Barbara Van Camp.
    Friends and family may gather at Our Lady of Lourdes Family Parish, Corner of Suburban Drive and Lourdes Avenue, De Pere, on Friday, November 23, 2012 from 9am until 11am when a Mass of Christian Burial will be held with Fr.     Ralph J. Vande Hei, age 64 of Green Bay passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday November 5, 2012. He was born on December 26, 1947 in De Pere to the late Harold and Agnes Vande Hei. Ralph was a 1966 graduate of Abbot Pennings High School in De Pere. He retired from Fort Howard Paper (Georgia Pacific) after 38 years of service to the company. Ralph enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends.
    He is survived by his children; Kim (Andy) Mussfeldt, Cameron Vande Hei, Jeff Vande Hei, Brian Vande Hei, and Kevin Vande Hei. Ralph is further survived by his granddaughters. Alyssa and Rianna, as well as his sister Mary Bain, his brother Larry (Sally) Vande Hei and brother in law Jim Hockers.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Margie Hockers and his brother in law Bernie Bain.

    LeRoy J. Vissers, 55, of De Pere, passed away December 4, 2003, at home after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born July 6, 1948, in Green Bay to Robert and Jeannette (VandenHeuvel) Vissers. After graduating from Abbot Pennings High School in 1966, LeRoy joined the U.S. Marine Corps and served in Vietnam. He was discharged as a decorated veteran. Following his discharge, he married the former Kathryn Reinkober on September 18, 1971, in Chilton, Wis. They celebrated their 32nd wedding anniversary this past year. LeRoy worked with Western Electric until 1982 and has worked for the City of De Pere for the past 20 years. He enjoyed sharing laughs with his large family, golfing, wood crafting and the outdoors. He also treasured the time he spent with his family at the beautiful cabin he built from the ground up. He was a constant inspiration to all who crossed his path, and his zest for life lives on with his family.
    He is survived by his wife, Kathryn; three daughters and one son-in-law, Angela and Andrew Nelson, Sheboygan Falls, Mollie, Milwaukee and Amanda, De Pere. He also was proudly awaiting the birth of his first grandchild in July. He is survived by four brothers, Paul (Janet), Mark (Ann), De Pere, Gary (Dell-Lyn), Martin (Pam), Green Bay; and five sisters, Bev (Pat) Hart, Barbara (Tom) Van Beek, Bonnie (Tom) Renkens, Mary Jo (John) Krohn, De Pere and Bernie (Chris) Zwettler, Madison. He is also survived by one foster brother, David (Jean) BeBeau, De Pere and many nieces, nephews and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Jeannette Vissers, his wife's parents, Vincent and Edna Reinkober, one brother and sister-in-law, Tony and Mary Vissers, one brother-in-law, Patrick Wood, one nephew, Joseph Van Beek, and great niece, Mollie Brittnacher.
    Friends may call at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 305 North Tenth Street, De Pere, from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, December 8, 2003. Visitation will continue on Tuesday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, De Pere. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church with the Rev. Conrad Kratz, O. Praem, officiating. Military Burial Rites will be performed following the funeral. Burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, De Pere.
