    Margaret M. (Lorrig) Kemps, of Appleton, age 82 years, died Thursday, June 16, 2005. She was born July 8, 1922, in Clintonville the daughter of the late Michael T. and Veronica (Grissman) Lorrig. Margaret graduated from Marion High School and attended Oshkosh Business College. She served her country as a Navy WAVE during WWII. She was employed by Outagamie County at Riverview. Margaret married John Kemps on October 14, 1961, and they enjoyed 26 years together until his death in 1987. She was a manager at Keen Agers at St. Therese for five years.
    Margaret is survived by her sister, Rita (Leonard) Petta, Rhinelander; brother, Raymond (Murl) Lorrig, Colorado Springs, CO; sisters-in-law: June Lorrig, Marion and Lucille Lorrig, Marion; step-daughter, Dolores (David) Hartzheim, Sun City, CA; step-daughter-in-law, Anita Kemps, Appleton; eight step-grandchildren and 13 step-great-grandchildren and four step-great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Harriett (William) Conrad, Freedom; brother-in-law, Martin (Nora) Kemps, Kenosha. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    Margaret was preceded in death by her husband John, an infant brother Ervin Lorrig, her brothers: Arthur Lorrig and Robert Lorrig and stepson Gerald Kemps.
    The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 18, 2005, at SACRED HEART CATHOLIC CHURCH, 222 E. Fremont St. with Father Robert Karuhn officiating. Interment will take place at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call at the Church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass. Memorials to the American Cancer Society are appreciated.
