Obituary:
Ruth L. Komp, Age 92, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 28, 2014 at St. Joseph Residence in New London. She was born on March 19, 1922 in the Town of Center, Outagamie County, daughter of the late James and Margaret (Lippert) Wittlin. Ruth married Harold "Bud" Komp on November 3, 1943 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Stephensville. He preceded her in death on April 28, 1993.
Ruth's greatest joy in life was her family. She and Harold created a wonderful home environment for their five children. She greatly appreciated the many visits from her family during her stay at St. Joseph's.
Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law: Susan and James Himmelspach, Crystal Lake, IL; Nancy and John Biese, Stephensville; Ann and Steve Calnin, Hortonville; two sons: Bill Komp, Stephensville; Robert Komp (special friend Janet), Appleton; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; sisters: Gertrude Helms, Rosemary Stadler, Joyce (Wayne) Pierre, Joan (George) Pritzl, and a brother: Robert (Dottie) Wittlin; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister and brothers-in-law: Myra (Walter) Weber, Robert Helms, Gerald Stadler, a brother James Wittlin and an infant son, Richard.
The Funeral Mass for Ruth will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Stephensville with Fr. Joseph Nsereko officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery later this spring. A visitation for Ruth will be held directly at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Ruth's memory.
The family wishes to extend their profound gratitude to the staffs at Trinity Terrace and St. Joseph's Nursing Home, for their compassionate care provided to Ruth during the past seven years.
