    VandenElzen, Berni ce G.Bernice G. VandenElzen, age 85 years, died Saturday, February 4, 200 6, at her home in Kimberly. She was born July 1, 1920, in Little Falls, Mi nnesota, to the late Vincent and Mary (Stoltman) Pilarski. After her birt h, the family then moved to Stockbridge and into Menasha. Bernice marri ed Clarence VandenElzen on October 19, 1940, at Sacred Heart Catholic Chur ch, Sherwood and they were blessed with 59 years together. Clarence and Be rnice lived in Menasha until the 1950s and then made their home in Kimberl y. She worked for Kimberly-Clark, Neenah, and Johnny's Restaurant in her e arlier years. Bernice was a former member of William Verhagen Post 60 of t he American Legion Auxiliary and a member of Holy Spirit Catholic ChurcBernice is survived by her sons: Dennis (Norma) VanElzen of Menasha and Mi chael VandenElzen of Kimberly; grandchildren: AM1 Patrick J. (Donna) VanEl zen of Virginia Beach, VA and Nancy (Peter) Offenstein of Appleton; great- grandchildren: Chelsea Riley and Patrick J. VanElzen, Jr., Nicholas, Sar ah and Jennie Offenstein; sisters: Julia Pilarski, Marion Stinski, Loui se (Art) Ponto, Rosemary (Ray) Zelinski, all of Menasha, and Janice Schul tz of Wautoma; brother: Michael Pilarski of Florida and sisters-in-law, Ag nes Knabenbauer of Kimberly and Sr. Mary Rosaline VanElzen of Wheaton, I L.She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence and an infant son, Pet er Joseph; sisters: Marceline Stepanski, Cecelia Schmidt, Angeline Pilarsk i, Francis Boisvert and Augusta Birnbaum; brothers: Jackie, Martin and Lou is Pilarski. Bernice was also preceded in death by five brothers-in-law a nd four sisters-in-law.The funeral liturgy for Bernice will be held at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, F ebruary 8, 2006 at HOLY SPIRIT PARISH, 600 E. Kimberly Ave., Kimberly, wi th Fr. Tom Pomeroy officiating. Interment will take place in the parish ce metery. Friends may call at the Church on Wednesday from 10:00 am until t he time of mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Holy Spirit Parish appre ciated.
