Mrs. Wolfinger Dies at Dundas
Funeral Services of Manufacturer's Wife Held at Hollandtown Today.
Mrs. Mary Wolfinger [nee Lamers], wife of Joseph Wolfinger, Dundas manufacturer, died at Appleton Saturday.
The deceased was born in Holland. Upon coming to this country she resided for a time at Sheboygan. Mr. and Mrs. Wolfinger were married at Sheboygan 54 years ago. [June 24, 1879]. Since that time they lived at Dundas.
Survivors are her husband, three daughters, Mrs. Mary Vanderloop, Dundas, Mrs. Walter Radermacher, Stanley and Mrs. Henry Hovenar, Hollandtown; two sons, Joe and Frank, both of Dundas. Twenty-one grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren survive.
Funeral services were held at 9:30 o'clock this morning from St. Francis Catholic Church, Hollandtown, with Rev. Louis Van Oeffel officiating, with interment in the parish cemetery.
Pall bearers were Henry Hoveran [Hovenar?], Henry Radermacher, Richard Vanderloop, Peter Verbockel, Norbert Vanderloop and Clarence Wolfinger.

Obituary:
Age 98, passed away Monday, April 14, 2003 at his home. Hugo was born January 31, 1905 in Wrightstown, son of the late John and Mary (Sprangers) Lamers. He attended elementary school in Wrightstown, and later in preparation for his work with the Kaukauna Utility, took courses at the technical college. On September 13, 1933 he married the former Genevieve Meier at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Appleton; she preceded him in death on August 20, 1993. Hugo worked for the Kaukauna Utility for over forty years as a power plant operator. In 1956, he was transferred to the Rapide Croche Power Plant where he worked until his retirement in 1970. Many will remember Hook as a worthy cribbage opponent!

Gordon J. Lamers, Kaukauna, On October 7, 1913 Richard and Anna (Van Lanan) Lamers brought into this world a son and named him Gordon John. Gordon, the eldest son in this honest and hardworking family spent his early years helping around the farm and taking care of his 10 siblings. Rick, his father, owned a trucking company and at the age of 14 Gordon began driving cattle truck to the stockyards in Milwaukee, taking cattle down and bringing anything going north back. In 1935 Gordon purchased a farm in rural Kaukauna. On June 25, 1936 Gordon married Mary Arnoldussen at St. John Church in Little Chute. Together they worked the land, milked the cows and raised 4 children. When not working on the farm Gordon enjoyed bowling, playing cards, especially skat and sheepshead, and fox and deer hunting. Gordon served on the Town of Buchanan Town Board and the Kaukauna School District Board of Education. He also was a member of the Knights of Columbus, council 1033 for over 70 years. Gordon and Mary retired from farming in 1973. In 1976 they purchased a cottage on Pickerel Lake where they had many good times fishing and partying. In 1988 they moved to the "city" and loved their little home on Draper St. Mary died on October 14, 2001 and Gordon said "When your partner dies half of you goes with her". At the age of 95 Gordon moved to the St. Paul Villa where he was well cared for and loved by all.
Gordon is survived by his 4 children: Judy (Ray) Driessen, Jim (Janice) Lamers, Joan (Fred) Pennings, all of Kaukauna and Jerry (Sandi) Lamers of Tulsa, OK; 12 grandchildren: Deb (Bob) Dakins, Diane (Skef) Thomas, Mike (Nancy) Driessen, Nancy (Mark) Gerrits, Sharon (Sherry VanderArk) Driessen, Scott (Kelly), Joe (Chris) and Tim (Kristy) Lamers, Tom Pennings, Jenny (Jesse) VanAsten, Anna (Necole) Lamers, and Andy (Liz) Lamers; 19 great-grandchildren; and 2 great great-grandchildren. He is further survived by 4 sisters: Mary (Gerry) Nackers, Rose (Francis) Schmidt, Frances (Bob) Haen, and Emily (Gordon) VanderWyst; 3 Brothers: Lyle (Helen) Lamers, Gene Lamers, and Marcel (Marilyn) Lamers; and a sister-in-law, Helen Lamers.
Gordon was preceded in death by his wife, Mary; an infant son, Joseph, grandsons: Tom Lamers and Mark Driessen, granddaughter, Katie Lamers, a brother, Paul; sisters: Ruby Van Handel and Jane Vosters; in-laws: Sylvester Vosters, Barney Van Handel, and all of Mary's family.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12:00 Noon on Friday, July 20, 2012 at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH at ST. MARY CHURCH, 119 W. 7th St., Kaukauna with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating. Friends will be received at church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery.

Lyle J. Lamers, 97, of De Pere, passed away Sunday morning, December 30, 2012 at home. The son of the late Richard and Anna (Van Lanen) Lamers was born July 27, 1915 in the Town of Buchanan. He married Ellen Turriff at St. Boniface Church on June 17, 1941. She preceded him in death in 1972. On March 3, 1973, he married Helen (Klister) Vander Loop in Hollandtown.
Lyle farmed in the Towns of Wrightstown and Lawrence from 1928 to 1972. Mr. Lamers founded Lamers Bus Lines in 1944, and it is still in operation today. He drove bus until the age of 72 and was a member of the Wisconsin School Bus Association for many years. He served with the Lawrence Fire Department for 33 years. In his later years, his hobbies were working around the yard and in his shop and recycling.
Survivors include his wife, Helen, his children, Allen (Elaine) Lamers, Lyla (Frank) Griffin, Myra Lamers (Tom Foley), Kevin (Mary) Lamers, Helen's children, Joyce (Vince) Denzel, Dennis (Char) Vander Loop, Donald Vander Loop, James Vander Loop (Marge Zimmerman), Helen's daughters-in-law, Marian Vander Loop, Sandy Vander Loop, his twenty five grandchildren, thirty nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Survivors also include Lyle's siblings, Gene Lamers, Mary (Gerald) Nackers, Rose (Francis) Schmidt, Frances (Bob) Haen, Emily (Gordon) Vander Wyst, Marcel (Marilyn) Lamers, Mrs. Paul (Helen) Lamers. Lyle is also survived by Helen's brother Cyril Klister. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Ellen, daughter-in-law, Carol (Landwehr) Lamers, siblings, Gordon (Mary) Lamers, Ruby (Robert) Turriff (Van Handel), Jane (Sylvester) Vosters, Paul Lamers, Delia Lamers. Gene A. Lamers, Kaukauna, age 93, died peacefully on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at St. Paul Home with his family by his side. He was born March 21, 1920, on the family farm in Kaukauna, son of the late Richard and Anna (Van Lanen) Lamers. On May 21, 1942 Gene married Delia Van Groll at St. John Catholic Church in Little Chute. The couple farmed in rural Kaukauna their entire married lives, next to the home farm. Gene enjoyed playing sheepshead, bowling and being a dedicated farmer. He was very proud of the trips he and Delia took as a result of selling seed corn. He especially enjoyed time spent with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Jane Vosters, 87, Freedom, passed away on Friday, Feb. 22, 2008, at Parkside Care Center in Little Chute with her loving family by her side. Jane was born on March 21, 1920, in Wrightstown, to Richard and Ann Lamers. On Oct. 2, 1941, she was united in marriage to Sylvestor (Ves) Vosters. She was a member of St. Nicholas Church in Freedom and the Christian Mothers. Jane farmed alongside her husband until her retirement in 1976. Up until her stay at the nursing home, her daily routine included attending church, breakfast at the local restaurant and then a visit to the farm or a ride around the countryside. She will be remembered for her love of sheepshead and still played every Thursday with the Freedom Golden Agers. Other favorite pastimes included bowling, bingo and watching the Green Bay Packers. She also attended many weddings, birthday parties and funerals.

Paul P. Lamers, Kaukauna, age 85, passed away on Monday October 13, 2008, at Cherry Meadows Hospice, Appleton, WI, after a courageous two-year battle with heart disease. Paul was born on October 31, 1922, to the late Richard and Anna (Van Lanen) Lamers. On July 12, 1945, he was united in marriage to Helen Haen at St. Mary's in Kaukauna, WI. He was an active member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kaukauna, sang in the Queen of Peace Choir and was a Communion Distributor. Paul was a concrete contractor for several years. After that, he owned and operated a dairy farm in the Kaukauna area with the help of his wife and family, and sold the farm to his son Mark in 1984. Up until two years ago he still helped Mark with field work. He also loved gardening, playing cards, casino trips, woodworking and spending time with friends and family.
Paul is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Helen. He is also survived by seven children: Robert (Joyce) Lamers, Greenleaf, Lois (Gene) Ver Voort, Little Chute, Kathy (Steve) Romenesko, Freedom, Gary, Palm Springs, CA, Cindy (Gary) Anderson, Kaukauna, Mark (Lynn) Lamers, Kaukauna, and Paul Jr. (Patty) Lamers, Kaukauna. Jack Mullarkey concelebrating. Friends will be received on Thursday at BOETTCHER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 2401 Fieldcrest Drive, Kaukauna, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Parish Prayer Service at 7:30 p.m. concluding the evening. Mary A. Nackers, Freedom, age 92, died Monday, September 26, 2016 at Heartwood Homes. She was born November 17, 1923 in Kaukauna to the late Richard and Ann (Van Lanen) Lamers. Mary married Gerald P. Nackers at St. Paul Parish in Wrightstown on May 24, 1945. He preceded her in death on January 6, 2013 after 67 years of marriage. Mary and Gerry farmed for many years east of Freedom, and later moved to a house they built in town. Mary was a member of St. Nicholas Parish, a member of the Christian Mother's Society, and worked in the hot lunch program at the school for many years. She also worked at Geenen's Supermarket, in the meat department. Together, Mary and Gerald enjoyed square dancing, bowling, golf, and card games with family and friends. They loved to watch the Packers and Brewers games on TV. Mary treasured her family and cherished time spent with them.

Emily Marie Vander Wyst, age 86, of Appleton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 24, 2016, at St. Elizabeth Hospital.
Emily was born on Christmas Day December 25, 1929, on the family farm in Kaukauna, a daughter of the late Richard and Anna (Van Lanen) Lamers. She was united in marriage on September 1, 1951, in Wrightstown to Gordon Vander Wyst and he preceded her in death on October 17, 2013. They celebrated 62 years together.
Emily and Gordy were charter members of St. Thomas More Catholic Church where they were both very active and faithful parishioners. She sung in the church choir for many years, was a member of the mission club, and a regular bingo worker. Emily was a Cub Scout leader and babysat for many children over the years. Emily loved attending her children's and grandchildren's sporting events and other activities. She made special Christmas ornaments for each of her grandchildren for over 35 years and quilts for their weddings.
Survivors include her loving children, Lyle (Donna) Vander Wyst, Lucina (Dalton) Korth, Loraine (Craig) Lubinski, Leo (Wanda) Vander Wyst, Lavern (Michael) Speel, Louis (Carol) Vander Wyst, Leonard (Alice) Vander Wyst, Linus (Kelly) Vander Wyst, and Luke (Amy) Vander Wyst; there are 27 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren and the 20th is expected in August. Her sisters, Mary Nackers, Rose Schmidt, Frances Haen, sisters-in-law, Marilyn Lamers; and Virginia (Ivan) Stiltjes; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 27, 2016, 11:00 a.m., at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1810 N. McDonald St., Appleton, with Father Gerald Falk officiating. Entombment will be in the Star of Hope Mausoleum. Lillian K. (Nienhaus) Ruckdashel
Age 97, of New London, passed away on Saturday September 13, 2014 following a short illness. She was born on May 26, 1917, daughter of the late Cornelius & Isabelle (Lamers) Verbeten. In July of 1936, she married Arnold Nienhaus, he preceded her in death in 1960. In February of 1973, she married Larry Ruckdashel, he preceded her in death in 1996.
Lillian and her first husband Arnold owned and operated Nienhaus Grocery in Sugar Bush from 1954 to 1971. She worked at New London Copmmunity Hospital from 1965 to 1974. She owned and operated Mode O Day clothing store in New London from 1975 to 1980 and worked for over 20 years with Pat Witt for Pat Egan's lunch wagon at auctions till the age of 90 years. Lillian was an avid golfer at Cedar Springs Golf Course in Manawa for over 35 years. She was a member of the VFW and American Legion, former member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Lebanon and current member of Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in New London. She spent her winters in Apache Junction, AZ until 2001.
Survivors include 3 sons: Frank (Sheila) Nienhaus, Oshkosh; Arnold (Mary) Nienhaus, New London; Richard (Marsha) Nienhaus, Portland,Oregon; a daughter: Judy (Bill) Moeller, Hortonville; 13 grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; sisters-in-law: Hilda Verbeten, Florida; also nieces and nephews who she was very fond of.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Arnold Nienhaus in 1960; her second husband, Larry Ruckdashel in 1996; a son Tom (Dorothy); also brothers and a sister. Lil always said she was a "Survivor" and she was till the end!
A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in New London. A gathering of friends and family will be held directly at the church on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the mass. Interment will be in Ruckdashel Cemetery in Sugar Bush.

Robert W. Nelessen, 83, of Kaukauna died Thursday June 23, 2011 at his residence.
He was born October 2, 1927, son of the late Anton and Sophia (Lamers) Nelessen. Robert married Marian Hendricks on June 1, 1950.
Robert worked at Giddings & Lewis as a crane operator for 30 years until his retirement in 1986. He then worked at St. Paul Home in the maintenance department, and later at PSA. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kaukauna, and a member of their Queen of Peace Choir. Robert delivered Meals on Wheels. He enjoyed boxing; he was founder of the Kaukauna Boxing Club. He loved to fish, play games especially cards, camping, turkey hunting, and farming, he planted trees on 7 acres of land and would be out there trimming and caring for all of them. Robert enjoyed helping others, he was a great handyman, and enjoyed remodeling, he often said, "you don't throw anything away, you fix it", and "you don't hire someone, you do it yourself". He was an avid Packer and Brewers fan, he always listened to Christmas music, always had a smile, and had a great sense of humor. Robert was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and son.

Nelessen, James A. "J im"James Anthony Nelessen, 76, Appleton, went into the arms of Jesus, his Sav ior on Sept. 30, 2006, surrounded by his family, after a courageous batt le with cancer. Jim was born on Nov.25, 1929, in Wrightstown, to the la te Anton and Sophia Nelessen. He married Rita Schmidt on May 21, 1953. J im was employed at Thilmany Pulp and Paper, Kaukauna for 37 years. He w as a Color Chemist prior to his retirement in 1990. Jim proudly served h is country during the Korean War as a staff sergeant in the Army. Jim w as a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post #7692, Freedom, Wi s. He was also a member of the Military Honors Team. One of Jim's passio ns was being an advocate for unborn children. He felt our troops fight f or the rights of all, including the unborn. Jim was a man of great fait h. He was a member of Christ the Rock Community Church where he participat ed in men's, marriage and prayer ministries. He also shared his faith thro ugh words and deeds. Jim loved serving others and was always available wi th his time and talents. Any task he knew how to do, he was willi ng to do for others. His impact of caring and serving others through mus ic will be remembered forever. He taught himself how to play the guit ar at age 35. Whether around a campfire, a relative's wedding receptio n, a Bible study, a nursing home or a party, Jim was ready to bring j oy to the occasion. In December 2005, Jim and Rita made a recording of the ir favorite music (Precious Memories) for their family. For many years J im and Rita owned a cabin (Rainbow Acres) in Fence, Wis. Many memories we re made with family and friends. For the past 16 years they wintered in Mc Allen, Texas. They enjoyed traveling and their last trip was in July wh en they visited their Winter Texan friends in the Midwest and Canada. J im loved life. He loved spending time with his kids and grandkids. Dolores Catherine Van Camp, 84, of Freedom, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family after a long courageous battle with Alzheimer's Disease on Friday, July 8, 2016. She was born on October 10, 1931, daughter of the late Antone and Sophia (Lamers) Nelessen. On September 3, 1952, Dolores was united in marriage to Eugene Van Camp at St. Paul Catholic Church in Wrightstown. Together they raised their 11 children on the family dairy farm in Freedom. Throughout her life, Dolores enjoyed working the family farm side by side with her husband Eugene, and their children. She loved being a Mom by always putting family first over herself. She was always able to see the good in everyone and accepting of everything no matter what. Dolores was a devoted member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Freedom, was a member of the Christian Mothers Society, and sang in the choir for many years. She loved to bake, sew, work in the garden, bowl, and go camping with family. Her greatest and most memorable trip was to Rome. Dolores was a genuine, hardworking, and faithful woman who will be truly missed. She was a strong caring woman, and her beautiful and courageous soul will live on forever.

Before moving to Arizona, Mildred and Gordon were members of St. Paul's Catholic Church, Wrightstown, and then St. Pius X Catholic Church, Appleton.

Howard W. Feldkamp died peacefully at home on Monday, March 1, 2010, with his family by his side. He was born March 28, 1920, the son of the late Peter and Catherine (Lamers) Feldkamp. Howard grew up as the oldest of nine children on the family farm in rural Kaukauna until he was drafted. He was in WWII for almost three years as part of the field artillery, serving in Africa, Italy, France and Germany. It was in the German forests that he developed a love of trees that stayed with him all his life. Howard married Mary Ebben in Little Chute on October 3, 1951, and together they ran a dairy farm in the town of Buchanan.
Howard is survived by Mary, wife of 58 years; eleven children: thirty one grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren. He has six sons: Bill (Pat) Feldkamp, parents of Carrie (Josh) Drephal and Melissa (DJ) Gossen; Peter (Kathy) Feldkamp, parents of Michael (Jackie) and Holly (Matt); Joe (Jane) Feldkamp, parents of Stacy, Steven and Jesse; John (Kristy) Feldkamp, parents of Peter, Megan and Nicholas; Howie (Sue) Feldkamp, parents of Andy and Jenny, all from Kaukauna; and George Feldkamp, Little Chute, father of Nicole (Ben), Alysha, Josh and Edward. He also has five daughters: Sr. Theresa Feldkamp with the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity, Manitowoc, currently teaching in Cambridge, Ohio; Karen Vanevenhoven, Combined Locks, mother of Valerie (Greg), Maria (Rob) St. Aubin, Laura (Todd) Buchholz, and Paul; Anne (Jack) Van De Loo, Kaukauna, parents of Jim (Melissa), Sara (Kevin) St. John, Christy (Matt), and Jake (Reba); Mary K. Feldkamp Theodore R. "Ted"
Theodore R. "Ted" Feldkamp, 81, Wrightstown, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, April 10, 2007, after a three-year battle with liver cancer. He was born May 15, 1925, in Wrightstown, son of the late Peter and Catherine (Lamers) Feldkamp. He graduated from Wrightstown High School and served his country in the United States Army, where he was stationed in Austria at the end of WWII. Ted married Jean Van Der Wyst on May 10, 1951, at St. John's Catholic Church in Little Chute. He worked at Thilmany's, and after marriage started farming, which he did until his death. His pride and joy was his gardens, and he loved to show them off and give his produce away. Ted enjoyed dancing and playing cards, especially with his grandkids.
He is survived by his wife, Jean; eight children: Susan (Dick) Nackers, Kaukauna; Tom (Mary), Bangor; Joan (Jim) Baumgart, Seymour; Nancy (Dean) Bowers, Kaukauna; Ruth (Jeff) Schumacher, Kaukauna; Alan (Judy), Gilman; Richard (friend-Janice), Clarksville, TN; and Roger (Corinna), Freedom; 23 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Howard (Mary) Feldkamp; sisters: Ethel (Gerald) Ebben, Kate (Jim) Bongers, Helen (Norb) Evers, Theresa (Jim) Ison, and Joan (Russ) Aerts; in-laws: Gordon (Emily) Van Der Wyst, Rose Kuhn, and Virginia (Ivan) Stiltjes; and many nieces and nephews.

Catherine "Kate" Bongers, Little Chute, age 85, died Tuesday, February 17, 2015, after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was born in Kaukauna on April 10, 1929, to the late Peter and Catherine (Lamers) Feldkamp. Kate married James "Jim" Bongers on June 2, 1951, at St. Paul Parish in Wrightstown. She volunteered for lunch duty at St. John School, and also served as a Girl Scout Leader. Kate retired from Macy's in 1990. She liked tending to her garden, growing flowers and line dancing. Kate's greatest joy was her grandchildren. She really cherished time with them. Kate especially enjoyed taking them on camping trips to Yogi Bear Campground.

Gladys School, age 85, of Hollandtown, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, April 11, 2007, at Brewster Village in Appleton. She was born in Wrightstown on February 20, 1922, daughter of the late George and Marie (Verbeten) Lamers. She married Paul T. School on February 8, 1944 in Wrightstown; he preceded her in death in June of 2006. The couple lived in Hollandtown for most of their married life, moving to their current home in 1947.
Gladys was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church in Hollandtown. In her younger years, she worked as a staff writer for the DePere Journal, and was also a member of the Urban Klister Post #436 of the American Legion Auxiliary in Wrightstown.
Gladys was a daughter, sister, loving wife and mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and maker of a home extraordinaire. She was a woman who could truly "bake" someone happy.
Survivors include four daughters: Sandy VandeLoo of Eau Claire and her special friend Jack; Lois (Mark) Brown of Kaukauna; Peg (John) Roberts of Oregon, Wisconsin; and Paula (Alex) Zarenko of Gibsonia, Pennsylvania; two sons: Jim (Theresa) School of Menasha and Mike (Wendy) School of Chippewa Falls; ten grandchildren: Laurie (Todd) Edelman, Rick (Sarah) VandeLoo, Michael VandeLoo, Jody Bangart and his fiancee Diane, Jill Hegy, Becky (Mike) Dreyer, Jerry Roberts, David Roberts, Kristina Zarenko, and Eric Zarenko; a step-granddaughter, Kendra Tolliver; eleven great-grandchildren: Emily, Megan, and Abby Edelman; Sam, Alex, and Noah VandeLoo; Marissa, Alix, Kinsey, and Tyler Hegy; and Trinity Dreyer. On Friday, September 26, 2008, God held out his hand and took our Mom to heaven. Waiting for her was the love of her life, our Dad, Pat Schaeuble; her son, Terry; her grandchildren, Jeremy and Charlene; and daughter-in-law, Raine. Mom was born March 31, 1924, to the late George and Marie Lamers. She grew up on a farm with her sisters: Gladys School, Isabel Brochtrup, Toni (Dan) Vanderloop, Betty (John) Maney and Ruth (Jerry) Gerharz; and her brothers, Roy and Bob Lamers.
She married Elton (Pat) Schaeuble on August 11, 1943. They farmed most of their lives. Raising eight children: Ron (Phylis), Nancy (Jim) Pegel, Terry (Cheyenne), Jim (Mary), Steve (Barb), Ken, Scott (Tammy), and Debbie (Mike) Wochinski. Many special people came to be part of our extended family, like John (Joyce) Peterson, Doug Gerlach and too many others to mention. We know everyone who met our mom was made to feel special by her kind and loving ways. He was born Febru ary 28, 1926, in the town of Holland, Wis., the son of the late George a nd Marie (Verbeten) Lamers. On November 21, 1946, Roy married the former M illy Bowers at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Wrightstown. The couple farm ed in the Hollandtown area until retiring in 1991. Roy enjoyed fishing (es pecially ice fishing in Minnesota), bowling, playing cards, and trips to L as Vegas. Obituary:
William N. "Bill" Lamers, age 86, of Hollandtown, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, January 16, 2016, at his home. He was born on October 9, 1929, son of the late Godfred and Helen (Fox) Lamers. On September 6, 1951, Bill married Dorothy Van Eperen, and together they shared over 64 years of marriage.
Bill farmed for 10 years before becoming a partner at Keller Structures. In 1979, Bill and Dorothy co-founded Holland Cold Storage in Hollandtown with Roger and Dolores Van Eperen. Bill and Dorothy also owned L&L Sales and Service. Bill was a lifelong member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Hollandtown, and a charter member of the St. Francis Men's Choir. He also was a member of the Kaukauna Lions Club, delivered Meals on Wheels for the St. Paul Home in Kaukauna, and was a 3-time Schut King. Bill was an avid golfer and enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, and attending and watching the Packers and Badgers. He and Dorothy traveled to Arizona for the winter months and spent a lot of time at their cottage on Shawano Lake in the summer months. His greatest joy, however, was spending time with his family. Bill cherished his grandchildren and great grandchildren and any time he could spend with them. He was a faithful, devoted family man who will be missed by so many.

Frances H. Mulroy, nee McDaniel, age 89, died peacefully on Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at St. Joseph Residence, New London. She was born on April 16, 1927, daughter of the late Francis and Helen (Lamers) McDaniel in Wrightstown, WI. She met her husband Donald P. Mulroy and married on October 18, 1947. They settled on the family farm and raised 8 children and worked the farm in the early years. Frances later worked at American Can, Rich's Bakery and Hillshire Farm; retiring in 1980.
She will be deeply missed by her children: Karen (Will) Fisher, Wautoma; Diana (Richard) Singler, Shiocton; Colleen (Mark) Noack, New London; Patrick (Diane) Mulroy, Wesley Chapel, FL; Tom (Gloria) Mulroy, Lakewood; Jerry (Judy) Mulroy, Escanaba, MI and Donna (Tom) Opgenorth, Brookfield, WI. Joan M. Cleveland, age 82, St. Paul Villa, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 12, 2007, at the Appleton Medical Center. Joan was born June 26, 1924, the daughter of the late Bernard "Barney" and Cecilia (Faust) Lamers. On September 14, 1946, Joan married Orville "Bud" Cleveland at Holy Cross Church in Kaukauna; he survives. Joan worked for several years as the Deputy City Clerk for Kaukauna, and from 1974 until 1986, served as the City Clerk. Upon her retirement, she was given a key to the city. For thirteen years, she kept the books for her husband's business, Bud's 66.
Joan was a woman of profound faith who prayed the rosary with her husband daily. Joan will be remembered as a dedicated and longtime member of St. Mary Catholic Church where she volunteered many hours as the bookkeeper for the renovating committee. Her keen mind made her a difficult opponent for anyone brave enough to challenge her to a game of Scrabble or Boggle. She also excelled at crossword puzzles. Joan was a talented seamstress and was able to craft all sorts of crocheted and knitted items for her loved ones. She was a member of the Lady Knights of Columbus and in her earlier years enjoyed square dancing. Joan daily admired all of God's creation, and enjoyed the water, watching the sunset, as well as being an avid bird watcher. A passionate reader, it seemed that she read nearly a book each day.
She is survived by her husband of sixty years: Orville "Bud" Cleveland, Kaukauna; six children: Thomas (Kris) Cleveland, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Michael (Sally) Cleveland, Kaukauna; Patrick Cleveland and his friend Barb Karas, Rapid River, Michigan; Margaret "Peg" (Steve) Vande Hey, Kaukauna; Teresa "Terri" (Arden) Bolland, Burnsville, Minnesota; Suzanne "Suzie" (Jack) Klein, Neenah. Obituary:
Clarence (Barney) J. Lamers of De Pere, WI, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2011, at 78. Clarence was born in Kaukauna, Wisconsin on January 17, 1933, to the late Bernard Lamers and Cecilia Faust-Lamers, the sixth of eight children. The family story is that his father was so excited to have a boy after five girls that he drove a horse and buggy around town to announce it, then they were lucky enough to have a boy and a girl after that. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Shari Winkler, their four children: Brian, Melissa, Andrea (and Tom) and Jessica (and Jason); nine grandchildren: Oliver, Cecilia, Demetrius, Madeline, Mason, Cole, Carson, Tag and Pia; sister, Lois (and Harold) Bozile, Sister-in-Laws, Helen and Donna; and Brothers-in-Laws, Francis (Fitz) and Ronald.
Clarence spoke fondly of his many happy memories growing up in a small town and the close childhood friends and family he still "chummed" with all the way back to his days at Holy Cross Elementary and Kaukauna High School. He attended UW-Stout on a football scholarship and played collegiate football and tennis. He was drafted into the Army during the Korean War. After the war, he returned home to earn his Masters in Mechanical Engineering at UW-Madison and later taught Ph.D. level courses in Physics. Clarence and Shari were married on July 5, 1958, in Askeaton at St. Patrick's Church and moved to Marinette, where he worked in industrial development and energy technology at Wisconsin Public Service for 10 years. The family moved to E. De Pere and he worked at Kimberly-Clark for 10 years as an executive manager of Energy Development and traveling extensively throughout Latin America. Always a visionary and a master tinkerer, Clarence held over 5 patents for his ideas. Clarence came out of retirement several times to consult for renewable energy and cogeneration companies. He finally retired to Mesa at 62 where he honed his golf game taking home many trophies in men's tournaments around Arizona. Active in politics, Clarence volunteered on many state and local campaigns and held positions as an appointee of Gov. Tommy Thompson to the WI Planning Commission. Clarence, an Eagle Scout, took his volunteer service seriously and was honored to serve his community for many years as President of the JC's, a member of Kiwanis Club, the Men's Club, American Legion, Sullivan-Wallen Post #11, and the Elk's Club. He was also very active in his children's sporting and education activities, always cheering them on and involved in his church, St. Francis, where he was a lecturer and usher. Clarence was a prostate cancer survivor who was honored by Cancer Centers of America for over a decade in remission, for his unbelievable zest for life, his fight to overcome his own disease and his support of other families and men suffering cancer.
Clarence is preceded in death by his sisters, Joan (Orville), Clarice (Rick), Audrey (George), Ruth Marie, Laverne (Francis); and his brother, (Joseph), and brother-in-Law, (Marty).
Barney lived life to the fullest and will be sadly missed by his wife, children and (Papa Barney) by his nine grandchildren.

Elizabeth "Betty" A. Berghuis (Lamers), age 83 died on Saturday October 14, 2017. She was born on September 23, 1934 in Kaukauna, WI. Daughter of the late Hugo and Genevieve (Meier) Lamers, Betty was the oldest of four children. She graduated from Kaukauna High School in 1952. Betty married the love of her life Robert (Bob) Berghuis on May 12, 1953 at Holy Cross Church in Kaukauna, and together they had eight children and shared 54 years of marriage together. Family, friends, and food were Betty's passion and delight. Lifting a kettle of her soup normally required two people, and it was a certainty that no one would ever leave her home hungry.

Kaukauna - Robert J. "Bob" Lamers, age 79, passed away on Thursday April 12, 2018. He was born November 24, 1938 to the late Hugo and Genevieve (Meier) Lamers. Bob married Mary Ann Burton on August 18, 1962 and they enjoyed 55 years together. After serving 6 years in the Navy where he was a boxer, Bob worked at Thilmany for 42 years, retiring in 2003. Bob was very involved in his community and had a passion for sports. He spent many years coaching youth basketball, baseball, and boxing. He was instrumental in starting CYO basketball and the Men's Open tournament at Holy Cross in Kaukauna, and worked as an umpire for over 30 years. He served as an alderman for the city of Kaukauna for 20 years, and a term on the Outagamie County board. In his working days Bob was very involved with his local union, and was proud of the Local 20 New Years Eve free ride program he organized for many years. Age never stopped Bob from being the oldest participant in the "Old Timers" League, or jogging his many daily miles. Fitting in a golf game with his buddies was always something he looked forward to, even when he could no longer locate his ball. His physical wellness held up - it was the brain that would finally slow him down. "Honest to God" as Bob would say. Bob will be making his final donation to VA-BU-CLF Brain Bank -Boston University to further the study of CTE and TBI.
Bob is survived by his wife Mary Ann; Children: Marie (Tom) Dercks, Kaukauna; Jodi (Chuck) Bruecker, Kaukauna; and Jon (Teri) Lamers, St. Louis Park, MN; Grandchildren: Melissa Dercks, Kristin (Ben) Duffy, Ben and Bailee Bruecker, Natalie, Megan and Samantha Lamers; Great Grandchildren Mase, Mera, and Grey Duffy, and Beckett Dercks. His sisters Mary (Pete) Vanevenhoven; Donna (Stan) Fisher; In-laws Jerry Burton and LuAnn Burton; Ellen (John) Heydenreich.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Travis Dercks, sister Betty and her husband Bob Berghuis, in-laws Cy and Dorothy Burton, and sister in-law Karen Burton. A private service will be held at a later date.

Age 56, passed away at his home with his family at his side on Thursday, April 19, 2001. Jim was born in Appleton on October 28, 1944, son of the late John and Helen (Vanden Heuvel) Lamers. Sr. On October 18, 1966, he married the former Carol Lornson in Combined Locks; she survives. Jim was well known for his agricultural building designs. These designs were widely used by Fox Structures of Kaukauna. He also developed a large network of treasured friends and associates through his internet-based business. Jim was a member and leader of the Cross and Crown Prayer Group and will be remembered by many as a true friend, confidant, advisor, and counselor. His quick wit and sense of humor made Jim a man who people genuinely enjoyed spending time with. Jim enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and grandchildren, golfing, and pheasant hunting with his so n, Mark.

John H Lamers, 70, of Little Suamico passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 13, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born Oct 28, 1944 to the late John & Helen (VandenHuevel) Lamers.
In his younger years, John was a member of the United States Army Reserves. He grew up in the Greenleaf area where he was a volunteer on the Greenleaf Fire Department. John had a talent for cooking and loved to have his family and friends come relish a bowl of his chicken booyah. He also served booyah at the Greenleaf Fireman's Picnic for a number of years. John enjoyed watching Packer games, playing sheepshead, and having breakfast with his family at Barley's Deerfield Diner.
John is survived by his Very Special Friend, Marge Gorring; his children: Colleen (Jeff Vande Hey) Theunis, Jeff (Anne) Lamers, Craig (Colleen) Lamers, Brian Lamers; Grandchildren: B.J. & Kristy (Matt Shimon) Theunis, Kaylin, Grant, Hailey & Gavin Lamers; Great-Grandchildren: Aiden Arvey, Wyatt Shimon; Marge's children: Tim (Jane) Wertelusky, Kelly (friend Jim) Thoe; and Marge's Grandchildren: Morgan Wertelusky & Lydia Thoe.

Roger "Couger" Lamers, 75, Wrightstown, passed away on Monday June 13, 2016 surrounded by his family. He was born on August 4, 1940 to the late Peter and Catherine (Fox) Lamers. Roger was a graduate of Wrightstown High School class of 1958. On April 28, 1962, he was joined in marriage to Bonnie Vander Bloomen. After high school he went to work for the WS Patterson Co./First Supply Company in sales for 41 years, until his retirement in 2001. While working, Roger was the top salesman and received an award for becoming the first million dollar salesman in company history.
Roger cherished the time that he was able to spend with his family, especially with his grandchildren. He was an avid NASCAR racing fan and he was able to attend many races throughout the country. He also enjoyed the Thursday night races at WIR with friends for many years. He also enjoyed his regular trips to town and Tom's Auto Body.
Roger is survived by his loving wife and soulmate Bonnie, daughters Teri (Frank) Klister, Deb (Mark) Meulemans; Sons, Randy Lamers and Scott Lamers; grandchildren Jesse, Chris and Casey Klister, Aaron, Kyle (Amanda), Tyler (fiancée Julie) Meulemans and Nicklaus Lamers. He is further survived by his sister, Dorothy (Harry) Pritzel, brother Frank (Lois) Lamers, sisters-in-law Dorothy Lamers, Marilyn Ambrosius, Dorothy (Dale) Schinke, Sue Slater, Linda (Ron) Watermolen and many nieces and nephews.

Lamers, age 56, a life long Wrightstown resident, died Apr il 13, 2000 surrounded by his family at a Green Bay Hosipital The son of P eter and Catherine (Fox) Lamers was born July 17, 1943 in Wrightstown. D an married Dorothy Weyenberg on November 9, 1963 to Holy Cross Catholic Ch urch in Kaukauna. He owned and operated Dans Service Station in Wrightsto wn since 1961. Dan was a member of the Wrightstown Volunteer Fire Departme nt all of his adult life, and had served as Fire Chief. He was a loving hu sband, father, grandfather and cared very much for the community.
