    Loretta J. Schomisch, formerly of Kimberly, age 91, died Wednesday, February 27, 2008, at St. Paul Home. She was born July 12, 1916, in the Town of Brothertown, daughter of the late Phillip and Katherine (Nadler) Nett. On June 7, 1937, Loretta married Martin E. Schomisch at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sherwood. They farmed and raised their family in the town of Stockbridge. The couple enjoyed 24 years of marriage prior to Martin's death in 1962. Her family was her life and she devoted countless hours caring for them. She was an excellent seamstress and cook, "Grandma Cookie." Loretta had a green thumb and enjoyed tending her rose garden. She was a long time member of Holy Name of Jesus Parish (Holy Spirit) where she was involved in the charitable work of the Mission Ladies.
    She is survived by five daughters: Alice Lemmers, Kimberly; Ann Lemmers, Appleton; Kathleen (John) Geyer, Kaukauna; Joan (John) Van Roy, Kimberly; and Jane (Leon) Hoepner, Butte des Morts; 15 grandchildren: Joseph, James (Tresa) and Jackie (Joe Sulima) Lemmers; Daniel (special friend Terri Maas), Darrell (Monica) and David (Kelly) Lemmers; Andrew (Cami) and Matthew (fiance Sheri) Lemmers; Kathleen, Ryan (fiance Amy), Erin Van Roy, Leah (Eric) Grant; Jessica (Jon) Lackey, Heather Johnson and Heath Hoepner; 15 great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald (Barbara) Nett, Appleton; and a sister-in-law, Agnes Nett, Kimberly; numerous nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her husband Martin E.; a son David; two sons-in-law, Leo and Thomas Lemmers; four brothers: Herman (Regina), Sylvester (Rose and Zelda), Martin and Leonard Nett; two sisters: Evelyn (Al) Ritzke and Leoba (Elmer) Bornemann; and her long-time friend Joseph Bouressa.
    The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12 noon on Monday, March 3, 2008, at Holy Spirit Parish at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, Kimberly, with Fr. David Beaudry officiating. Relatives and friends will be received at church on Monday, March 3 at 10 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for the Holy Spirit Mission Ladies. The Boettcher Family Funeral Home, Kaukauna (920-766-2099) is assisting the family.
