    Wachtendonk, William Henry, “B ill”, Milton, WisconsinAge 82, passed away Saturday, September 6, 2003 at the Meriter Hospit al in Madison, WI. He was born March 13, 1921 in Kimberly, WI, the s on of Theodore and Margaret (Lamers) Wachtendonk. He married Dorothy Br um on April 2, 1945 and celebrated 58 years of marriage together this year .Bill served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force during World War I I. Upon his return, he worked many years in Public Service at various muni cipalities across Wisconsin.Bill is survived by his wife, Dorothy, Milton; sons: Dan (Yvonne), Menash a; Bill (Chris) Neillsville; Jim (Sukie), Madison; John “Jack” (Dawn), Mid dleton; Alan (Wendi), Green Bay; Bob (Karyn), New York; daughter, Donna (S cot), Sun Prairie; 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was pr eceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Lisa.A memorial mass will be held Tuesday, September 9, 2003 at 11 a.m. at S t. Mary Catholic Church, Milton with Msgr. Jim Uppena officiating. Frien ds may call Tuesday September 9, 2003 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at St. Mary C atholic Church. The Albrecht Funeral Home, Milton is assisting the family.

    Dorothy M. Gehrman, Kimberly, age 90, died Tuesday, October 11, 2016 after a short illness at Prairie Home Assisted Living. She was born in Kimberly on March 8, 1926 to the late Ted and Maggie Wachtendonk. Dorothy married Gordon Gehrman on June 18, 1949 at Holy Name Parish, where she was a lifelong member. He preceded her in death on February 23, 2012 after 62 years of marriage. While her greatest joy was taking care of her family, Dorothy worked for Kimberly Clark, Outagamie County and Telephone Secretaries through the years. Dorothy and Gordon enjoyed traveling and spending time "up north" with family and friends.
    Dorothy is survived by two children: Guy (Sandra Weyers) Gehrman, Stevens Point; and Janet (David) Evansen, Appleton; three grandchildren: Michael Evansen, West Allis; Amanda (Kyle) Retzki, Appleton; and Gordon Gehrman, Stevens Point. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    In addition to her parents and husband, Gordon, Dorothy was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.
    Visitation will be held Saturday, October 29, 2016 at HOLY SPIRIT PARISH - KIMBERLY CHURCH (620 E. Kimberly Ave. Kimberly) beginning at 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. The Rev.     Josephine "Josie" Margaret Salka passed away October 13, 2014, at home surrounded by family. She was born October 25, 1937 and was twelve days shy of her 77th birthday. Josie was born in Kimberly, Wisconsin to Theodore and Margaret (Lamers) Wachtendonk. She grew up in Wisconsin and graduated from Kimberly High School. On May 9, 1964, Josie married Donald "Don" W. Salka in Kimberly. They were blessed with four children, Ted, Darren (deceased), Bill and Beth. While the family began in Wisconsin and spent some years in Brooksville, Florida, Josie and Don lived and raised their family in White Salmon for the last thirty-five years. After their retirement, Josie and Don enjoyed traveling around the country, seeing new sights and visiting family and friends. Josie dearly loved her family and friends, and had a particular affinity for all children. She served several terms on the White Salmon School Board hoping to give back to the school system that had provided her children with excellent educations. She was always happiest when spending time with each of her seven grandchildren, Nick, Katie, Emma, Dara, Madeleine, Rachel, and Ethan. Josie will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved her. Services are planned for 2 p.m., Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Bethel Congregational Church (480 E. Jewett Blvd, White Salmon, WA 98672), with a dinner to follow the memorial at the White Salmon Elks. All are welcome. A second memorial is being planned in Wisconsin on August 1, 2015. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that a donation be made to the Darren Salka Memorial Scholarship through the White Salmon Valley School District.     Kaukauna - Funeral services for Henry Wachtendonck, 9, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Wachtendonck, former Kaukauna residents, were held at Holy Cross Catholic church at 9 o'clock Monday morning' with the Rt. Rev. P. J. Lochman in charge of the requiem high mass. Wachtendonck died at St. Vincent's hospital Green Bay at 4:30 Friday morning where h-e had been confined for three weeks with illness. He was taken to the Green Bay hospital from the home of his parents at Seymour. Burial was in Seymour Catholic cemetery. Students of Holy Cross parochial school attended the mass in a body.     Seymour - Florine M. Blohm, 87, of Seymour passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at Meadow Wood Assisted Living. She was born on December 10, 1930, daughter of the late Peter and Clementine (Merckx) Wachtendonck.
    Florine attended normal school and taught in a one-room school house. She used her skills as a substitute teacher while raising her family.
    She was united in marriage to Alvin Blohm on January 27, 1953 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Seymour. Florine remained an active lifelong member of the church, having served as the CCD Coordinator, church secretary, song leader, and choir member.
    Florine worked as an Administrative Assistant at Bank One for many years prior to her retirement.
    She enjoyed sewing, singing, playing piano, gardening, long walks, and especially time spent with her family.

    Henry "Hank" Wachtendonck, Jr., age 68, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2009, at his home surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer. Hank was born to Henry, Sr. and Johanna (Ruys) Wachtendonck on December 9, 1940, in Appleton, WI. He graduated from Kimberly High School in 1959 and in 1961 married his high school sweetheart, Pat Verhoeven. They enjoyed 48 happy years together. Following their marriage, Hank worked for Holy Name School and United Grocers of Little Chute. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, Amanda, Alysa and Danny. His special buddy, "Snickers" provided him great company during his struggle and brought him much joy. He enjoyed reading, carving for his grandchildren and traveling. He was a former member and officer of the Kimberly High School Booster Club back when his son and daughter were in sports and also a CYO basketball coach. He loved attending their games and they brought him much pride.
    He is survived by his wife, Pat, of Kimberly; son, Mark (Trina), Tampa, Florida and daughter Sara Remington (and special friend, Jim Fox) of Louisville, Colorado; grandchildren, Amanda Wachtendonck, Milwaukee, WI, and Alysa and Danny Remington of Louisville, Colorado; a sister, Linda (Dave) Lopas, Kimberly, and their children, Tammy Lopas, his god child, Jenny (Matt) Brans and Scott Lopas (fiance Tiffany Swedberg). He is also survived by nieces, Donna (Tom) Cummings, Robin (Phil) Wagner, nephews, Mike Lom, Dale Schock and his godchild, Danny (Becca) Schock. Also surviving is his mother-in-law, Bernice Verhoeven of Kaukauna, and step-grandchildren, Jennifer (Stephen) Burnham and their daughter, Grayce of North Carolina and Laurie Griffith (fiance Jim Woolever) and their daughter, Savannah of Tampa, Florida.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Mia Schock, brothers-in-law, Tom Lom and Bob Schock, his father-in-law, Earl Verhoeven and several aunts and uncles. According to Hank's wishes cremation will take place.
    A funeral liturgy for Hank will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2009, at 12 Noon at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 600 E. Kimberly Ave., Kimberly, WI, with Fr. David Beaudry officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday at church from 10 a.m. until the time of the mass. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for Theda Care at Home Hospice.
    A special thank you to Dr. Travis Kroner, Dr. Motara, Dr. Swanson and all the kind people at Theda Care at Home Hospice who tended to Hank. Your kindness and caring made this journey bearable. A sincere thank you to our neighbors and friends at Hitters, Marty's and throughout the community for your support and kindness.

    Paul Peter Van Handel, age 65, of Oneida, passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2016. He was born in Appleton to the late Matt and Marian (Wachtendonk) Van Handel on June 27, 1950. Paul was a hardworking farmer his entire life. Even after an accident in the late 1980's left him with painful spinal injuries, he continued to farm as much as he was able. Paul was a kind, honest and generous man who helped those in need.

    Joseph E. Blohm, 56, of Neenah passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at his home of natural causes. He was born June 20, 1957 son of Alvin and Florine (Wachtendonck) Blohm.
    Joe was a 1975 graduate of Seymour High School and a 1979 graduate from St. Norbert College in De Pere. He retired from U.W. Oshkosh in 2013 where he was Director of the University Books & More and Director of Parking Services. Joe said, "He was the most hated man on campus!"
    He is survived by his daughter Elizabeth Blohm, Oshkosh; parents, Alvin and Florine Blohm, Seymour; sisters: Judy Blohm, Mary (Jeff) Skinkis, Marsha Vande Hei; brothers: Mike (Mary) Blohm, Mark Blohm, Jim (Cory) Blohm, Matt (Deb) Blohm, all of Seymour; John Blohm (special friend Candy Webster), Green Bay; many nieces and nephews.
    Preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Paul Vande Hei.

    Zachary James Wachtendonk, 30, of Madison, beloved son, passed away on March 18, 2009, at St. Mary Hospital from complications due to Asthma & Seizure Disorder caused by agent orange. He was born on February 8, 1979, in Madison the only son of James & Mary "Sukie" (Alexander) Wachtendonk. Zachary will be forever loved and remembered for his kindness, strength, integrity and courage and will be remembered and cherished by family and friends. Despite many physical roadblocks, he was able to overcome and graduate from Madison LaFollette Class of 1997 and earned two degrees from Madison Area Technical College. While attending M.A.T.C. he worked at the help desk greeting and advising students and visitors. Zak also worked at the Willie Street Co-Op and wrote the news letter for the Epilepsy Center. Most recently he was employed with the State of Wisconsin, Department of Administration through TEK Systems, where he got to use his computer skills. He loved his job.
    Zak is survived by his parents, Jim & Sukie of Richland Center; his sister, Reeanne (Jason) Rogers, Stevens Point; paternal grandmother, Dorothy Wachtendonk, Milton; niece, Morgan Wachtendonk and nephew, Chuckie Raschka; paternal uncles and aunts, Dan (Yvonne) Wachtendonk, Bill (Chris) Wachtendonk, Alan (Wendi) Wachtendonk, John (Dawn) Wachtendonk, Donna (Scott) Nelson and Bob (Karyn) Wachtendonk; maternal uncles and aunts, Marilyn Baker, Julie (Jim) Dougherty, Janet (Alan) Golley, Kathy Dennison, Linda (Angelo) Mentz and Linda (David) Voster; numerous cousins and many friends.
