    Obituary:
DELIA E. WESTPHAL, 95, of Cecil passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2012.
Adelia was born on July 2, 1917, to Ferdinand and Elsie (Priem) Seidler on their farm in the town of Washington. She attended Lakeview grade school and was confirmed at St. John's Evangelical Reformed Church, Cecil in 1931. One of 10 brothers and sisters she spent her young life helping at home and on the farm. On October 30, 1937, she was united in marriage to Norman Westphal. Adelia and Norman had three children, Orpha, Harvey and Gary. They farmed in the town of Hartland for many years, retiring to the present home in Cecil. During their farming years Adelia participated in all of the numerous farm chores. Though busy daily, relatives and friends were often welcomed at their table for a home cooked meal.
While an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bonduel she joined the Ladies Aide and the Christian Women's Society. She was a poll worker and an XYZ club member. Adelia gladly worked at the Thrift Store in Green Bay and Shawano. Numerous hands of sheep's head were played with friends. She and her husband enjoyed some travel in retirement. Adelia put others first. She frequently visited those in nursing homes. Her coffee pot was at the ready with treats to share. She was a second Mom too many. Many Christmas trees are graced with the hundreds of hand crocheted snowflakes and angles she created over the years.
She is survived by a daughter, Orpha Swift; a grandson, Jeff (Julie) Westphal, Appleton; great-grandchildren Leah, Brianna and Gary; a great-great-grandson, Collin; a sister Ruth Mahn, Green Bay; a sister-in-law, Irene Westphal, Bonduel; plus many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Norman; sons, Harvey and Gary; sisters and brothers-in-law, Clara (Edwin) Buelow; Kathryn (Harold) Sievert and Russell Mahn; brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert; Richard (Adella); Edgar (Hope); Arnold (Irmgard); George (Norma) and Melvin (Elaine) Seidler; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bill (Hanna); Walter (Ethel); Hank (Myrtle); John (Martha); Fred and Dewey Westphal; Esther (Martin) Stuewer; Helen (Ollie) Schroeder; Irene (Richard) Farrell.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at Zastrow Funeral Home in Cecil, with Rev. Mark Palmer officiating. Family and friends may call on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Bonduel. Zastrow Funeral Home in Cecil is assisting the family.
Her daughter and family graciously thank the pastors, neighbors and friends who so eagerly volunteered to help with her care. Adelia was a Christian woman of good spirit, willing to share her cheerful nature and quick wit with everyone she met. She will be missed by anyone who knew her.
