    John "Jack" Micke, Kaukauna, age 76, passed away February 10, 2008, at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, WI. John was born in Forest Junction on March 25, 1932, son of the late Henry and Mary (Jackels) Micke. He married Audry Kruse on August 24, 1955. John was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church in Hollandtown. For 24 years, John was employed with Jewel-T as a salesman. He serviced in the U.S. Army from 1950 to 1953 and was a Korean Veteran. John received a purple heart while serving his country. He was a member of the Disabled Veteran's of American and the VFW Legion Post 3319 in Kaukauna. John also volunteered his time at the VA Clinic in Appleton two days a week until he moved to King.
    He is survived by his son, Jeffrey (special friend Connie) Micke, Wisconsin Rapids; a son-in-law, Tom Walker and granddaughter, Chelsey, Iron Mountain, MI, a great-grandson, Corey; three sisters: Gertrude Van Dyke, Kaukauna; Sister Mary Grace Micke, Manitowoc; Elizabeth (Ray) Sanders, Little Chute; sister-in-law, Jeanette Micke, Breckenridge, MN; close family friends, Allyson Coit and Ed and Betsy Smith and many nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey (Kruse) Micke, his daughter, Mary Jo Walker, his parents, brothers: Sylvester Micke, Leo Micke, Joseph (Minnie) Micke, and Alphose Micke; sisters: Mildren Romeneski, Agnes (Louis) Michler and Marion Broeren; brothers-in-law, Clayton Van Dyke, Orrin Romenensko and Gib Broeren, an infant niece, Carol Ann Van Dyke.
    The Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. on Thursday February 14, 2008, ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH at ST. FRANCIS SITE in Hollandtown with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating. Friends will be received at Church on Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place in Holy Name Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established. The Boettcher Family Funeral Home, Kaukauna is assisting the family. 920-766-2099.
    The family would thank the wonderful staff at St. Paul Home, St. Paul Manor & the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King for all the care they gave John.

    Mary Jo Walker, 44 of W8085 Old Carney Lk. Rd. Breitung Twp. died Monday, April 5, 2004 at her home. Mary was born June 18, 1959, in Manitowoc, WI. She married Thomas Walker on November 30, 1990. She and her husband have been resident here for the past ten years coming from Kaukauna, WI.
    Mary worked as a photo processor for Photo One in Iron Mountain for several years.
    Mary was involved in girl scouting. She raised and bred birds for years and enjoyed photography and scrapbooking.
    She is survived by her husband, Thomas; her daughter, Chelsey, at home; a stepson, Jason Walker, Kaukauna; her father, John Micke, Kaukauna; mother and father-in-law: Gene and Ethel Walker, Kaukauna; a brother, Jeff Micke, Wausau; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Sharie and Jim Halverson, Winneconne; many friends from this area and the Fox Valley area.
    She was preceded in death by her mother, Audrey.
    Visitation will be Saturday, April 10 from 11 - 12 noon at ERICKSON-ROCHON AND NASH FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will follow at 12 noon on Saturday. Rev. David Anderson will officiate. A memorial will be established in her memory.
