    Obituary:
    Virginia Phillips, 87, Appleton, entered eternal life on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at Carolina Manor. She was born October 3, 1923 to the late Henry and Virginia (Pierce) Nabbefeld. Virginia married Louis Phillips May 20, 1944 and he preceded her in death in November of 2004. She was a secretary for Appleton High School; Institute of Paper Chemistry and Winton Schumaker in the firm of Schumaker, Haass, Baier and Reidl and subsequently Schumaker Romenesko & Associates. She was a very active member at First United Methodist Church in Appleton. Other organizations she was a part of include: DAR; Mayflower Society, Outagamie Historical Society and the Appleton Medical Center Auxiliary. She enjoyed making felt ornaments for AMC; collecting various things and she and Louis loved to travel.
    She is survived by a brother, James (Marilyn) Nabbefeld, Ft. Meyers, FL; a nephew, John Nabbefeld and his two daughters; first cousin, Bette (Charles) Gibbs and their three daughters; dear friends: Mary Howden and Lois Lambie. Further survived by other members of the Nabbefeld and Pierce families.
    Friends may visit the family from 9 - 11 am Monday, August 29, 2011 at the funeral home followed by Funeral services for Virginia at 11:00 am, with Rev. Doyle Blanton officiating. Interment will take place with her husband at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
    A special thank you to the staff of Carolina Manor for their care and concern of Virginia the past year and a half.
