    Obituary:
    John Hermus Sr., age 97, of Seymour, passed away on Wednesday morning, March 19, 2014 at Meadow Wood Assisted Living. He was born December 15, 1916 son of the late Cornelius and Anna (Vergowan) Hermus in Kimberly, Wisconsin.
    On June 18, 1949 he was united in marriage to Mathilda "Tillie" Linsmeyer at St. John's Catholic Church in Seymour. They had been blessed with 63 wonderful happy years together. Tillie preceded him in death October 31, 2012.
    John was a WWII Army Veteran and member of the Seymour American Legion, Freedom VFW posts and Catholic Knights. He moved to Seymour in 1920 and in 1947 bought the farm. He and his wife farmed at route 3 Seymour until their retirement in September of 1981. They then moved to Seymour and later resided at Meadow Wood.
    John was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Oneida, where he was a mass server as a youth. He loved music and family. He enjoyed playing cards, bingo, traveling, going to their cottage in Townsend, fishing and boating.
    Survivors include his children: Kathleen (Roger) Kerkhoff, Mary Brocker, Sherry (Vaughn) Wilkinson, Ron (Cindy) Hermus, John Jr. (Debbie) Hermus, Mark Hermus (special friend Diane), Lee Hermus, James (Sandy) Hermus, Gene (Lori) Hermus; 17 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters: Rose (Harold) Hendricks and Antionette Van Handel; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Evelyn Hermus, Jane Linsmeyer, Margaret Linsmeyer.
    Preceded in death by his son Jerome; brothers: Adrian, Jimmy and Antone (Jean); sisters: Nellie (Sam) Weller, Jane Hermus, Cora (George) Van Cyke, Anna (Willard) Vanden Heuvel, Mary (Norbert) Vanden Heuvel, Betty Klarner, Theresa (Joseph) Linsmeyer, Josephine Hermus, brothers-in-law: Leonard, Edward, Frank (Jean); sisters-in-law: Elsie Linsmeyer, Ida (Norman) Kemkes, Mary Linsmeyer, Loretta (Paul) Steffens.
    Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour on Friday, March 21, 2014 from 4-8 PM with a prayer service at 7:30 PM and on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Oneida from 9:30 AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM with Fr. John Chrysostom Katamba officiating. Military Rites will follow at the church. Entombment will take place at Allouez Cemetery and Mausoleum.     A special thank you to John's "Sweethearts" (his caregivers) at Meadow Wood; the girls were all so special. Also thank you so much to Unity Hospice, for John's final days. All gave John so much care and concern.

    Mary "Mar" L. Brocker, 61, of Seymour, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday morning, October 18, 2014 at St. Mary's Hospital. She was born April 29, 1953, daughter of the late John and Mathilda "Tillie" (Linsmeyer) Hermus in Green Bay.
    Mary was born into a large farming family and had over 100 cousins. She carried her hard work ethic with her to Chilton (Globe) Toys where she was dedicated for over 25 years. She passionately served as the President for the Local Union 7724, working to better protect her fellow co-workers with the help of State Representatives.
    She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Oneida where she also served as a teacher for many years. Her pride and joy were her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed going to the family cottage in Townsend. She loved oldies and country music, swimming and creating loving relationships with her patients as she served as a CNA.
    Mary is survived by her son, James (Rebecca Pingel) Brocker, and their children: Jerzy, Jozlyn and Jameson, of Shawano; daughter, Crystal (Charles) Meltz and their children: Justine and Jadynn, of Seymour; siblings: Kathleen (Roger) Kerkhoff, Sherry (Vaughn) Wilkinson, Ron (Cindy) Hermus, John Jr. (Debbie) Hermus, Mark Hermus, Lee Hermus, James (Sandy) Hermus, Gene (Lori) Hermus; godchild, Jason Wilkinson; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; special friend and father of her children, Mel Brocker; aunts and uncles: Rose (Harold) Hendricks, Evelyn Hermus, Ed Klarner, Margaret Linsmeyer and Jane Linsmeyer; her special dog and baby, Holly.
    Preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jerome Hermus; grandparents, Cornelius and Anna (Ver Gowan) Hermus and Joseph and Frances (Duffek) Linsmeyer; numerous aunts and uncles; great nephew, Cooper Alan Wilkinson; In-laws: Melvin and Angeline Brocker, Barb Van Boxtel and Donna Prilepp.
    Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour on Monday, October 20, 2014 from 4-8 PM with a prayer service at 7:30 PM and on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Oneida from 9:30 AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM with Fr.
