Obituary:
Joseph Klapperich, 88, of St. Anna, a retired Calumet county farmer, died Wednesday night at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.
Both Mr. Klapperich and his wife, Frances, were taken to the hospital the past Dec. 29. She is still confined there.
The couple had been living at St. Anna since 1916. Prior to that they had farmed in the Town of Marytown. His wife is the former Frances Wagner of Johnsburg.
Also surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Mary Dickrell of Manitowoc, Mrs. Hildgarde Huberty of Fond du Lac and three Catholic nuns, Sr. Alonzo fo Plymouth, Sr. Gabrielle of Chicago and Sr. Joseph Frances of Holy Family College at Silver Lake near Manitowoc; eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
He also leaves two brothers, John of Kiel and Anton of New Holstein, and a sister, Mrs. Emma Wieseckel of Stockbridge.
The requiem Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Ann Catholic Church, St. Anna, by Father Stengel, the pastor. Sisters of the Holy Family college faculty will sing the Mass. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. The Mass will follow 10:30 a.m. family rites at the Erbe-Hoffmann Funeral Home in New Holstein.
Friends may call at ther funeral home Friday evening where the Rosary will be recited at 8 and 9, the latter prayer by men of the St. Ann Holy Name Society of which Mr. Klapperich was a member.

MARY DICKRELL Mrs. Mary Dickrell, 71, formerly of the Town of Russell, died Thursday after a long illness. The daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Klapprich was born on Dec. 1, 1899 at Marytown, and was married to Arthur Dickrell in September, 1925, at St. Anna. The couple farmed in Russell until his death in 1933. Surviving are four sons, a daughter, four sisters and 23 grandchildren. A brother preceded her in death. The funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Anna Catholic Church, St. Anna, the Rev. Cyril Heeswyk, celebrant. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call Saturday morning at the Wittkopp Funeral Home, Plymouth, until time of church services.

Obituary:
Dickrell, Ambrose "Dick" Ambrose "Dick" Dickrell passed away on September 22, 2009, at St. Elizabeth Hospital surrounded by his family after losing a courageous fight against cancer. He was born October 11, 1927, in Elkhart Lake to the late Arthur and Mary (Klapperich) Dickrell. He graduated from Freedom High School in 1945 and enlisted in the U.S. Navy serving on the U.S.S. Satyr. He was proud of the fact that it was his ship that brought in the German submarine that is on display in the Museum of Science and Technology in Chicago. He married Viola Gerrits on May 5, 1951. He worked at Machinery and Supply as an inside salesman and retired from there in 1989. He was passionate about golf, playing it, watching it, and helping people out with their game. He would golf 18 holes everyday that weather permitted until his illness prevented him from playing. He had memberships at Chaska and Wander Springs, but played many other courses in the area and United States. He made many friends while playing golf and especially enjoyed his "buddies" at Chaska.
He is survived by his wife, Viola; daughter, Sandy (Mark) Altergott; son, William (Lydia) Dickrell; grandchildren: Brett (Heidi) Altergott of Oak Creek and Abby Altergott of Milwaukee; great-grandchildren: Chase, Logan and Hannah Altergott; brother, Joe Dickrell of Naperville, IL., sisters-in-law: Marilee Dickrell and Alice Turner and many nieces and nephews. He is further survived by his "second family" which is his best friend, Bill Greiner and his family.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Clem and his twin brother, Tony, sister, Fran Turowski and sister-in-law, Jackie Dickrell.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2009, at Holy Spirit Parish, 600 E. Kimberly Avenue, Kimberly, with Fr. David Beaudry officiating. Friends may call at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund for Dick has been established.
