    HOLD LAST RITES FOR MRS. ROSENOW
    Funeral Services Are Conducted Saturday Afternoon at Kaukauna
    Kaukauna - Funeral services for Mrs. William C. Rosenow, 34, who died Tuesday evening, were held at 1:30 Saturday afternoon from the home of Oscar Relnhardt and at 2 o'clock from the Immanuel Reformed church. The Rev. E. Worthman was in charge and burial wags in Kelso cemetery. Mrs. Rosenow was born in the town of Harrison April 11, 1894. She moved with her parents to Neenah where she married William Rosenow. The couple then settled on a farm near Sherwood where she lived until her death. Survivors are the widower; one daughter, Wilma; her father, Oscar Reinbardt of Kaukauna; five sisters, Mrs. John Denq, Mrs. Frank Balgie, and Miss Martha Reinhardt of Kaukauna, Mrs. Herman Meyer of Boyd, and Mrs. Josephine Scheller of Neenah. Pall bearers were H. Wittman, T. Marx, J. Aditz, William Paul, H. Kauer and Arthur Dix. Among the out-of-town people who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. J. Englemier, Miss Sarah Rosenow, Mrs. C. Snider and Mr. and Mrs. E. Miller of Neenah and Mrs. H. Meyer of Boyd.

    Laura Belongia, 98, Kaukauna, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Friday, Sept. 5, 2008. Laura was born in the town of Woodville on March 21, 1910, daughter of the late John and Anna Deno. She married Lawrence Belongia on March 3, 1940, and shared over 50 years of marriage with him before his death in 1991. Together, the couple operated the Double L Tavern for many years, and Laura retired in 1972. In their younger years, they enjoyed working their dogs at various field trials in the area. Laura always planted a large garden, which resulted in her being a great cook and canner. She enjoyed the company of her cat, Baby, and was proud to have lived long enough to see six generations of her family. Laura will be remembered by all as a generous woman who enjoyed helping others - she was always there for those in need. Anyone who needed could always find a place to stay, as for years she took in boarders.
    Laura is survived by a daughter, Sylvia Miraglia, Reno, Nev.; two granddaughters whom she raised as her own, Ronna Copet, Kaukauna and her special friend, Bill Krepps and Laurette (Clifford) Holschuh, Kaukauna; a daughter-in-law, Geraldine Belongia, Kaukauna; numerous other grandchildren, Larry (Christine) Wiedenbeck, Reno; Mona Rae Mendenhal, Reno; Theodore Wiedenbeck, Bangor, Wis.; Roxanne Pourner, Reno; Mark Belongia, Kaukauna and his special friend, Cathy; Bruce Belongia, Ohio; John Belongia, Green Bay and his special friend, Sue; Glenn (Earlene) Belongia, California; Wayne (Judy) Belongia, Black Creek; Harold (Kelly) Belongia, Shawano, and Richard (Sue) Belongia, Shawano. She was born on November 22, 1917, in Kaukauna, the daughter of the late John and Anna (Reinhardt) Deno. She was a 1935 graduate of Kaukauna High School. Margaret married Earl Asman on April 29, 1937. She was a resident of Kaukauna most of her life. Margaret was God-fearing, loving and a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Margaret loved to cook and bake, and opened her spotless home to spoil many.     Gertrude M. Nagel, age 95 of Kaukauna passed away on May 26, 2016. Gertrude was born on September 9, 1920 to the late John and Anna (Reinhardt) Deno. She was a graduate of Kaukauna High School. Gertrude attended the Cook County Nursing School in Chicago and continued her education at the University of Minnesota and the University of Wisconsin. She held several positions in her career. She worked as a nurse for the City of Kaukauna, CESA, the Brillion Iron Works and the Combined Locks Paper Mill.
    On June 24, 1944 she married William C. "Bill" Nagel at Trinity Lutheran Church in Kaukauna and he preceded her in death on January 5, 2008. Bill and Gert enjoyed their cottage on Boot Lake near Townsend since 1966. Some of her favorite activities there were bird watching and wildlife watching.
    She enjoyed fishing, cooking and gatherings with family and friends.
    Gertrude will be sadly missed by her son Richard (Gloria) Nagel of St. Augustine Florida; two grandchildren Anthony (Deb) Nagel of Greenville and their son Jack; Angela (Chris) Knierim of California; former daughter-in-law Carol Nagel of Neenah; grandchildren: Jay (Shawnna) Sawyer of Satellite Beach Florida and Rebecca Houpe of St. Augustine Florida as well as other relatives and friends.

    Romenesko, Mildred G. (nee Kindler)
    Mildred G. Romenesko passed away peacefully Monday, January 4, 2010, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton after a short illness with her daughter by her side. Mildred was born September 20, 1916, to Christian F. and Josephine (Cotter) Kindler, Jr. in Kaukauna. The family moved to Combined Locks for a few years before building the family residence in Kaukauna. Mildred married Lloyd "Squeeze" Romenesko on September 25, 1937, and celebrated 54 years of marriage. During the last few years of her life, Mildred resided with her daughter and son-in-law in her childhood home.
    Mildred loved flowers and gardening. She and Squeeze took great pride in their lawn and yard. Lloyd's specialty was gladiolas and begonias, while Mildred enjoyed propagating gloriosa daisies, mums, California poppies, phlox and, at one point, 120 feet of morning glories on a fence the depth of their lot. She truly had a green thumb and shared her abundance of seedlings and plants with neighbors and friends. She delighted in sharing bouquets of flowers with those who visited or had a special occasion to mark. When she had beautified her own yard as much as she could, she would take some of her spare plants to her daughter's house and plant them there, since Jolene had not inherited her mother's green thumb.
    But Mildred's true source of pride and joy was her family. She and her husband spent many hours taking their daughter to dance lessons, music lessons, and attending school events. Her three grandsons, their wives, and four great-granddaughters were truly the light of her life, providing her with much laughter, love, and entertainment.
    She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jolene and Jack "John" Schaefer; her grandsons and their spouses: Kyle and Leona Schaefer, Oshkosh; Kevin and Jennifer Schaefer, Appleton; Travis and Tara Schaefer, Little Chute; and four great-granddaughters: Emma and Cora Schaefer, Oshkosh, and Alize and Lillian Schaefer, Little Chute. She is further survived by her husband's family, Mrs. Robert (Martha) Jacobs, Mrs. Edward (Germaine) St. Arnold, Mrs. B.F. (Frances) Hutton, Mr. and Mrs. Richard (Marie) Powers, and Mrs. Mark (Mildred) Romenesko; and numerous nieces and nephews.

John w as born in Kaukauna on May 6th, 1924, the only son of the late John, Sr. a nd Jennie (Kindler) Van Den Broek. He graduated from Kaukauna High Scho ol in 1942 and married the former Joyce Catherine Eimmerman on July 30, 19 45. John and Joyce have enjoyed 58 years of marriage. In 1943, John enter ed the United States Army and served in Europe. He served in the Batt le of the Buldge and was a prisoner of war in Germany. The family resid ed in Kaukauna, where they raised their children. John was employed ov er 40 years at Combined Locks Mill, retiring in 1986.     Grace Sophia Wittmann, age 84, of Kaukauna, passed away peacefully at Theda Care Hospital in Neenah on Thursday, March 30, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 8, 1932 in the Town of Harrison, daughter of Paul and Ella Apitz. She met her husband, Roland Wittmann at a wedding where both were attendants. They married on August 31, 1950 and celebrated forty-six years of marriage before he passed away in 1997.
    Grace enjoyed reading, gardening, shopping, and especially spending time with her family.
    She is survived by her four children: Dave, Darrel (Donna), and Rick Wittmann, and Linda (Rich) Cummings, and four grandchildren: Michael and Emily Wittmann, and Alex and Jordan Cummings. Grace is further survived by a brother Frederick (Joyce), and sister-in-law Lois, and brother-in-law Ron (Shirley) Wittman, in addition to several nieces and a nephew.
    She was preceded in death by her brother Charles Apitz, brother-and sister-in-law Robert (Dolores) Wittmann, and a niece.
    The Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Katherine Drexel Parish - St. Mary Site, 119 W. Seventh Street in Kaukauna. Visitation will be held on Wednesday starting at 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be held at St. Mary Cemetery in Kaukauna.     Van Den Broek, Gary Richard Kaukauna, WisconsinAge 53, went to meet the Lord on August 2, 2002, following a courageous ba ttle with a lengthy illness. He was born November 7, 1948; the son of Jo hn and Joyce Van Den Broek, in Kaukauna and was a lifetime resident.He was employed at Appleton Papers Inc., Combined Locks Mill; for 35 year s. He married Betty Ann Hintz September 29, 1973, and enjoyed 29 memorab le years of marriage. Gary was an active member of his faith at the Lighth ouse Church of Jesus Christ (Kaukauna Pentecostal Church), and serv ed as a lay minister and secretary treasurer for 25 years.He was a devoted and loving husband and father and faithful servant of t he Lord who enjoyed yearly fishing trips to Canada, golf and working in h is garden. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Cyril and Margar et (Plutz) Eimmerman, John and Jennie (Kindler) Van Den Broek, and father- in-law Norman Hintz Sr.He is survived by his wife, Betty; a daughter and son-in-law, Carrie and K eith Sampson, Missouri; and son, Matthew Van Den Broek, Minnesota. He is f urther survived by his parents, John and Joyce (Eimmerman) Van Den Broe k; John and Shirley (Hintz) Jansen; his brother, Ken Van Den Broek; his si ster, Patricia (Kevin) Gondek, three brothers-in-law, Terry (Gloria) Schee r, California; Robert (Sherry) Hintz; and Norman Hintz Jr. Nieces and neph ews include: Terry (Lisa) Van Den Broek; Scott (Judy) Van Den Broek; Sar ah Webster; Kristen Gondek, Shaya and Andy Hintz.Gary was a man of integrity and was loved and respected by family, friend s, and brothers and sisters in the Lord.     Wayne P. Belongia, age 50, of Seymour, passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2010, at St. Mary Hospital in Green Bay with his family by his side. He was born January 25, 1960, in Kaukauna to Harold and Geraldine (Douglas) Belongia. On December 29, 1979, he married Judy Scholz in Gresham. Following marriage, Wayne entered the U.S. Army with the 82nd Airborne Division. After 10 years of dedicated service, he returned home to reside in the Fox Valley area. He was currently employed driving school bus with Huettl Transport. Wayne enjoyed shooting pool, fishing, golfing and camping. He also adored spending time with his two granddaughters and outdoor activities with his family.
    He is survived by his wife, Judy; two sons: Jason (Johanna), Seymour, Josh, Seymour; two granddaughters: Madeline and Carly; mother, Geraldine Belongia, Appleton; five brothers: Mark (Cathy), Bruce, Glenn (Earlene), Harold, and Richard (Susan). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
    Wayne was preceded in death by his father, Harold, his brother John, and maternal and paternal grandparents.
    Friends may call at Muehl Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, on Monday, February 15, 2010, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and again on Tuesday, February 16, 2010, from 9:30 a.m. until funeral services at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
