    Nancy C. (Martzahl) Deitz, age 60, New London/Bancroft, accepted a bear hug from Jesus on May 21, 2011, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, surrounded by her loving family. She was a loving mother and grandmother born on July 18, 1950, to Herbert and Agnes Martzahl. At 18, she married Roger Deitz and had a daughter, Tina Marie. After the passing of Roger she became engaged to Marvin Ernst and had a son, Bradley Marvin. Marvin Ernst preceded her in death. Eight years ago she was blessed again to have met her love Peter Rekoske.
    During her life she worked at Mer and Jackie's Supper Club, Pantry Restaurant. She also worked for Peters Poultry, Bush Sauerkraut, Hillshire Farms (SaraLee), Old Country Buffet and finally retiring from Kings Wisconsin Veterans Home where she worked in the Kitchen. Her hobbies included working with her and Pete's Recycling business, which on any given day you could catch her cleaning copper or out rummaging looking for that right piece of brass. She loved spending time with her kids and grandkids. She loved going to the casino to play the slots or going out to a restaurant for coffee and a lot of socializing or even stopping for a cold one to talk to friends.
    She is survived by a daughter, Tina Deitz-Gilman (Scott); a son, Bradley (Shari Cochran and her children, Stephen, Eddie, Chelsea and D.J.); grandson, Xavier Ernst, special friend, Peter Rekoske (and family). Four sisters, Jean (Gerald) Bauman, Susan (Harold) Schroeder, Norma (Dennis) Van Elzen and Judith Pahl; four brothers, Donald (Shirley) Martzahl; Melvin (Diane) Martzahl, and Philip (Becky) Martzahl; brother-in-laws, Gerald Buchberger and Henry (Charlene) Dietz; sister-in-laws, Shirley (Dennis) Larue and Kathy. Nana is further survived by three very special boys: Devon, Zachary Ryan, and Jordan Kuhnke; special friends, Dawn Ryan, Sherry Derks and Rickie Limoges, very special families, the Kuhnkes and Van Stratens and also many nieces and nephews.
    Funeral services for Nancy will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2011, at 7 p.m. at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home, New London, with Pastor Rodney Otto Jr. officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday from 4 p.m. until the time of service.
    The family would like to extend a sincere than you to Town of Grant and Bancroft first responders. Also St. Michaels Emergency room staff at Steven Point, and most of all CCU nurses, Valerie, Corey, Jessica and the rest of the staff at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.
    In lieu of flowers, the family has established a memorial fund.
