    From History of Outagamie County biography on brother Joseph Marston, it listed "Dr. S. L., a graduate of Rush Medical College and for many years a medical practitioner. Dr. S. L. Marston was surgeon of the Twelfth Wisconsin, and was with Sherman in his march to the sea. Residence, Hartford, Wisconsin; now deceased." (pub. 1911)
