    Obituary:
Thomas James Rebman was welcomed into the arms of our Lord on January 11, 2013 at Mount View Care Center in Wausau surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 14, 1937 in New London, Wisconsin, son of the late Lawrence Joseph Rebman and Helen Marie (Stanton) Rebman.
On June 10, 1961 he married the love of his life Carol Marie Balthazor at St Mary's Church in Bear Creek, Wisconsin. They raised five children together, first living in New London before they moved to Menasha in 1972. After the kids were all grown Tom and Carol moved back to New London where they have resided for the past 27 years.
Tom served in the US Army in the late 1950s in Germany. Tom worked for James River Paper for 32 years before retiring in 1999. He then worked part time at Festival Foods. He loved to bowl and was on many bowling leagues over the years. His favorite past times included fishing, working in the garden and watching football, especially his favorite team the Green Bay Packers. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family; his grandchildren and great grandchildren were the light of his life. He also loved to dance at all the family weddings, his favorite dance being the polka. He was very involved with the Knights of Columbus, Honor Guard, American Legion and an active member at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church.
Tom will be greatly missed by his wife of 51 years: Carol, five children: Julie (Greg) Gmeiner, Appleton; Scott Rebman, New London; Tom (Gina) Rebman, Howard; Laurie (Rusty) Detra, Fremont; and Dan (Dawn) Rebman, Neenah; nine grandchildren: Bob Gmeiner (special friend Amy Deidrich and her son Jackson), Appleton; Ben (Hannah) Gmeiner, Neenah; Britney and Aaron Rebman, Howard; Bill Nelson, Larson; Brad and Allysa Nelson, Appleton; Crystal and Emily Rebman, Weyauwega; and Hope Dymond, Neenah; and five great grandchildren: Jacob and Andrew Gmeiner, Neenah; Brayden Nelson, Larson; Bentley Nelson, Appleton and Adryana Fahser, Appleton. He is also survived by sisters: Helen Garrity and Mary Lou (Cyril) Backes; brothers: Bob (Jeanne) Rebman, Sam (Claire) Rebman and Hubert (LuAnn) Rebman; sisters-in-law: Patricia Rebman, Dorothy Balthazor, Betty Balthazor, Donna Bathazor and Donna (Jerry) Jenkins; two brothers-in-law: John Guyette and Harold Schweitzer. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other special friends.
Besides his parents Tom was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Casper and Gertrude (Simonis) Balthazor; brothers: Roger (Lola) Rebman, Bill (Georgia) Rebman and Jerry Rebman; sister: Kathleen (Lawrence) Kroner; brothers-in-law: Aloysius Garrity, Helerain Balthazor, Joseph Balthazor, Norman Balthazor, Dennis (Jean) Balthazor and Sam Balthazor; sisters-in-law: Marcella Guyette, Rita Schweitzer, Elaine (Wally) Wright and Janice Balthazor.
We were so very blessed to have Tom in our lives as a husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He will be sadly missed by everyone and forever remain in our hearts.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, 712 S. Pearl Street New London with Father Joseph Irudamoney officiating. A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Cline Hanson Funeral Home, 209 W. Cook Street New London and on Wednesday at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of the Mass. In Lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
The family would like to thank the staff at Mount View Care Center in Wausau for the loving care that was given to Tom. They would also like to thank the many people who came to visit and spend time with Tom.
