    Alice M. Hutjens, 91, De Pere, passed away Thursday afternoon, January 19, 2012. Alice was the daughter of the late William and Gertrude (Coenen) Janssen, born September 2, 1920, De Pere. She married her late husband Joe Hutjens on August 27, 1942 at St. Mary Catholic Church, De Pere.
    Alice was a lifelong member of St. Mary Catholic Church and an usher for many years. She worked on the family farm with her husband Joe. Alice loved to bowl, listen to country music, and play her guitar. She also loved having parties for her family and friends.
    Alice is survived by five children, Carol (Bob) Muehrcke, Bill Hutjens, Sally (Lee) Mancoske, Louie (Patti) Hutjens, Sandy (Dave) Heezen; 12 grand children; 16 great-grandchildren; as well as her 4 brothers, Louie (Esther) Janssen, Bob Janssen, Dan (Dorothy) Janssen, Ken (Donna) Janssen; 3 sister-in-laws, Mary Becker, Margaret (Mike) Lotto, and Germaine Hutjens; and numerous nieces and nephews.
    Alice was preceded in death by her husband Joe; son Tommy; sisters Johanna Wellens and Josephine Gossen; and sister-in-law Rita Janssen.
    Friends and family may call Sunday, January 22, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Cotter Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 860 N. Webster Ave., De Pere. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. to conclude the evening. Visitation will continue on Monday after 9:30 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 4805 Sportsman Dr., Ledgeview. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Richard Getchel officiating. Interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Alice's name. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.cotterfuneralhome.com.
    Alice's family would like to thank the staff and residents at Ennis Home in Wrightstown and Southern Care Hospice for all of their care and concern.

    Obituary:
    Tom F. Hutjens, 35, De Pere, passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at a local hospital after an eleven year battle with Muscular Dystrophy. He was born August 31, 1977 to Louie and Patti (Gossen) Hutjens.
    Tom bravely faced the challenges of each and every day. He was honored to have worked as herd manager for Dave and Jerry Stencil at Stencil Farms. They allowed him to work until he decided he could no longer do the job. We are forever grateful to their families.
    Tom looked forward to and made every effort to attend Saturday night mass and then would go out to eat with family and friends. Uncle Bill made him laugh with his stories.
    Tom is survived by his parents, Louie and Patti Hutjens; his brothers: Eric (Chris) Hutjens; Kevin (Rebecca) Hutjens, maternal grandmother Catherine Gossen; uncles and aunts: Jim and Patty Gossen, Denis and Kay Gossen, Anne and Hardy Brooks, Al and Diane Gossen, Lee and Brenda Gossen, Carol and Bob Muehrcke, Bill Hutjens, Sally and Lee Mancoske, and Sandy and Dave Heezen. Tom loved spending time with his nieces and nephews: Alex and Ryan Hutjens; Hannah, Connor and Kassidy Hutjens. They brought joy and excitement to Tom's simple life. Further survived by special friends: Larry and Arlene Pennings, Dennis and Linda Pennings, and; cousins, neighbors and friends.
    Tom is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Joseph and Alice (Janssen) Hutjens; maternal grandfather, Francis J Gossen; Uncle Tommy Hutjens.
    Family and friends may call at St. Mary Catholic Church, 4805 Sportmans Drive, Ledgeview, on Friday, September 28, 2012 from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, at church with the Rev. Richard Getchel officiating. Interment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, De Pere. Cotter Funeral Home is assisting the family. Online condolences may be expressed to Tom's family at www.cotterfuneralhome.com.
    In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established to the Muscular Dystrophy Association or Unity Hospice.
