Biography:
EMIL KRULL, who is engaged in extensive farming operations in section 31, Cicero township, is now manager of the old Krull homestead, which has been in the family possession for nearly forty years. Mr. Krull was born in Little Chute township, Outagamie county, Wisconsin, February 1, 1867, and is a son of Christian and Sophia (Pries) Krull, natives of Mecklenburg, Germany, who were married in the Fatherland and there had two children, August, and one who died in infancy. The family came to the United States in 1861, locating first at Neenah for one or two years and going thence to Little Chute. In 1875 Mr. Krull brought his family to Cicero township and located on eighty acres of wild land in Cicero township, which at that time was nearly a virgin wilderness, there being no roads and but little clearing. Here he erected a log cabin, 18x20 feet, and a log stable, and began clearing the property, this being his home until his death, in 1896, at the age of seventy-one years. His widow survived him until 1904, and was seventy-two years old at the time of her demise. After his father's death, Henry Krull took charge of the home place, and further improved the property.His father had erected the uprights for a new house, and Mr. Krull has completed this fourteen-room structure, which is one of the finest farm homes in Cicero township. He also has a basement barn, 40x70 feet; and a granary, 18x20 feet. General farming and stock raising have demanded all of Mr. Krull's attention, and he has had little time to give to public matters, although he takes a publicspirited interest in local affairs, and is always ready to lend his influence to any movement which has for its object the betterment of his community. In 1899, Mr. Krull was married to Bertha Blake, .who was born April 8, 1878, daughter of the late William Blake, and they have had three children: Ervin, born March 31, 1900; Melvin, born January 23, 1904; and Clarence, born March 18, 1911.

John T. Krull "Grandpa Johnny" Nichols Age 92, died Thursday at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Seymour. He was born August 1, 1908, in the Cicero Township, son of the late Herman and Hattie (Hilliker) Krull. He was married to Luella Gottschalk on December 1, 1928. She preceded him in death in 1955.
John farmed in Cicero Township and later worked for the Nichols Co-op. He retired in 1975. His love of baseball gave him 30 years of playing on the Nichols team and was a fan for many more years. He sponsored "Grandpa Johnny's" softball team for several years in the 1980's. In 1998 the Nichols baseball diamond was named Krull Field in his honor. He took an active part as a member of his church and served on the council for 44 years. He is survived by five sons, Earl S. (Alvina), Milwaukee; Jim (Virginia), Appleton; Jack (Dorothy), Bonduel; Terry (Shirley), Bonduel; Rodney (Ruthie), Mercer; a daughter, Audrey (Robert) Moeller, Black Creek; 19 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Mary Krull and Lorraine Gottschalk, both of Appleton. He was preceded in death by his wife; a daughter, a son, a grandson and special neighbors and friends, Melvin and Florence Staple, Nichols. Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and Monday at Trinity United Church of Christ, Leeman, from 9:30 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Sara Hartman officiating.
Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.

Appleton Man Dies While Driving Car Heart Attack Is Fatal to Ervin Krull, 39, 609 E. Randall Street Ervin Krull, 39, 609 E. Randall street, -was found dead about 12:30 last night in his car on a town road near Lake Park. A post mortem examination this morning revealed a heart attack was the cause of his death and Calumet county authorities decided there would be no inquest KxulTs car ran off the road but was not damaged. Krull's -widow is in a serious condition at the Mayo clinic, Rochester, Minn., having submitted to an operation yesterday, and is not aware of her husband's death.. He was bom in Cicero March 31, 1900, and lived in Black Creek before coming to Appleton 20 years ago. He was the sole owner of the Acme Body Works, N. Meade street, since 1930. Besides the widow, survivors are a daughter. Rita Lee, Appleton; his mother, Mrs. Bertha Krull, Black Creek; a brother, Clarence Krull, Black Creek. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:45 Friday afternoon at Wichmann Funeral home and at 2 o'clock at Zion Lutheran church by the Rev. Theodore Marth. Burial will be in the receiving vault of Riverside cemetery.

Phyllis Pearl Brown, 97, of Appleton, passed away peacefully Monday morning, September 25, 2017, at Willow Lane Assisted Living. She was born September 14, 1920, in the Town of Cicero, daughter of the late Chester and Edith (Wilson) Krull. On April 22, 1939, she was united in marriage for 55 years to Ben Brown. He preceded her in death March 26, 1994.
She graduated from Seymour High School in 1938.
Phyllis is survived by her son, Ronald (Marlene) Brown, Appleton; daughter, Beverly (Mark) Schabo, Black Creek; grandchildren: Todd (Johnna) Brown, Lisa (Brian) Miller, Tom (Lisa) Brown, Ben (Tabatha) Schabo, Jason (Amy) Schabo and Mike (Margaret) Brown; 14 great-grandchildren: Brianna, Steffani, Meredith, Samantha, Taylor, Trevor, Jayce, Makala, Kylee, Cloe, Tessa, Teagan, Gavin and Carter; sister-in-law: Elaine Krull; nieces and nephews.

Appleton - Nola M. Wolf, 92, passed away at Touchmark Senior Living on June 28, 2018.
Nola was born on March 23, 1926 to Erie and Mary (Blink) Krull in Black Creek WI. She was the eldest of five children. In 1955 she married Thomas Wolf, whom she loved for 62 years. From this union came four children, whom she nurtured and loved through her lifetime.
Nola was a lifelong resident of the Fox River Valley. She worked for Kimberly Clark as an administrative assistant for 20 years. Her volunteer hours were generously given to St. Mary Central High School, the Catholic Church, the Cursillo Movement, Girl Scouts of America, and caring for the elderly.
Nola enjoyed golfing, skiing, playing bridge and traveling.
She is survived by her children: Greg (Gay Lynn) Wolf of Neenah, Susan (Douglas) Sawyer of Phoenix, AZ, Alison (Charlie) Bayne of Nampa, ID, nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Surviving siblings are Norma (George) Gavronski, Donald (Arlene) Krull, Keith Krull. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Wolf, her brother Edwin Krull, and her daughter Ellen Preimesberg.
Nola was compassionate, kind, and generous.
Rest in peace….we will miss you dearly.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on the 14th of July at Touchmark, 2601 W. Prospect Ave., Appleton WI.

Obituary:
Gerald E. Krull, of Appleton, age 66, died Monday, July 26, 2004. He was b orn in Appleton on May 30, 1938, the son of the late Clarence and Bessie ( Marks) Krull. Gerald was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, serving his country fr om 1954 to 1958. He was a machine operator at Gilbert Paper Company f or 41 years, and loved his job. He enjoyed sports, especially fishing, a nd watching the Packers and Brewers. Gerald was a kind and sweet man, wond erful father and loving grandfather.
He will be sadly missed by his children: Randy (Vicki) Krull of Appleto n, Mechelle (Jay) Haese of New London, Jeffrey (Wendy) Krull of Menasha a nd Mark Krull of Greenville; grandchildren: Jacob, William, and Curtis Kru ll; Jamie, Noah, and Aleaha Haese; Sarah, Brett, and Derek Krull; and Ril ey Krull; brother, Clarence (Gloria) Krull of Neenah; step-sister, Sand ra (Joe) Stevens of Camp Douglas; step-brother, Ricky Kleist of Weyauweg a; and a half-brother, John (Dawn) Mastejko of MI.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Leroy.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 28, 2004 at Vall ey Funeral Home, with Pastor Leon Knitt officiating. Visitation will be fr om 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial and military honors will t ake place at Highland Memorial Park.
