Obituary:
Stanley Voecks 83, a resident of Wissota Springs in Chippewa Falls, formerly of Cadott passed away on Monday, December 30, 2013. He was born on January 20, 1930 in Appleton WI to Herbert and Sada Voecks. He graduated from Appleton High School in 1948 and moved to Cadott and started farming on the family farm shortly after he got drafted and served in the Korean War. In 1960 he purchased the family farm Ingleside Farms. He married the love of his life Janet Scheidler in 1978 and she passed away in 1992. He moved to Wissota Springs in Chippewa Falls in 2010.
He was a member of St Johns Lutheran Church and served on the church council for 24 years (12 years as treasurer). He was a director of citizens State Bank, since 1963, served as chairman of the board in 1981 and retired in 2000. He was a member of the State and National Brown Swiss Association and a member of the Dairy Shrine Club. Survivors include one sister Marilyn (Jim) Mercer from Tennessee, one brother-in-law Russ (Gloria) Kazda from Chippewa Falls, four step children's Randy (Kay) Scheidler, Sharyl (Tim) McNamara, Dan(Tammy) Scheidler all from Cadott, and Ronette (Brian) Lehman from Medford, three nieces, one nephew, two granddaughters, seven grandsons, two step granddaughters, three great grandsons, and three great granddaughters. His greatest accomplishments were running Ingleside Farm, passing Ingleside onto another generation, and being a grandpa and teaching life long lessons onto all of his grandkids. He was preceded in death by his wife Janet Scheidler, his parents Herbert and Sada Voecks, nephews Jim Mercer and Chad Kazda.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday January 4, 2014 at 11:00 am at St. John's Lutheran church in Cadott with Rev. Raymond Bell officiating. Interment will be in Brooklawn Cemetery in Cadott.
Family and friends may call on Friday January 3, 2014 from 4:30-8:00 pm at the Leiser Funeral Home in Cadott and one hour before services Saturday at the Church.
A special thanks to the staff of Wissota Springs and Wissota Health for taking such good care of him.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred for St. John's Luther church or the Cadott Historical Society.
Stanley will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
