She enjoyed arts, crafts, antiques, and loved online gaming and shopping. Dar loved spending time with family and friends, especially the kids and grandkids.
    She is survived by her husband of 11 years, Dan; her daughter, Shellie Barkman and her daughter, Karlyn and her daughter, Kennedy; her son, Gregg Kobs; step-children: Sean Arndt and his children, Paige, Haley and Drew, Cathy (Dave) O'Keeffe and their children, Collin, Brennen and Maive, Patricia (Patrick) Burns and their children, Case, Cal and Jimmy; her sister, Sue (Tim) Landreman; father-in-law, Gerald Arndt; sister-in-law, Jenny Vils; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Ray Vils and Dick Vils; a sister, Kris Biersteker; and mother-in-law, Joan Arndt.
    A Memorial Service for Dar will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH at St. Mary Church with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating.     Gary H. Hoehne, 57, Kaukauna, passed away on Saturday morning, June 5, 2010, at St. Paul Home in Kaukauna. He was born on March 10, 1953, in Kaukauna, son of the late Howard and Norma (Buetow) Hoehne. Gary was employed by Appleton Papers for 35 years until his retirement. On March 1, 1985, he was united in marriage to Peggi Shuckhart at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Kaukauna. Gary was an avid golfer who was also a Brewers, Red Sox and Packers fan. Time spent with his children and grandchildren were most important to Gary. He also enjoyed vacationing with Peggi and his family.
    He is survived by his wife, Peggi; a son, Dave Hoehne; a stepson, Mark (Tammi) Bartels; a stepdaughter, Donna Allen; three grandchildren, Nathan Allen, Taylor Bartels and Carter Bartels; two sisters, Lori (Terry) Meyerhofer and Diane (Steve) Adams; a brother-in-law, Ralph Lindow. Preceding him in death were his parents and a sister Debbie Lindow.
    Funeral services for Gary will be held at 7 P.M. on Wednesday, June 9, 2010, at the Boettcher Family Funeral Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4 P.M. until the time of services. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery in Kaukauna. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.

    Nick Bies, 30, passed away following a very unexpected and brief illness on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2010, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay. Nick was born in Appleton on February 27, 1980, the son of the late Jerry Bies and Barbara (Hoehne) Bies, whom Nick made his home with in Little Chute. Nick was currently employed as a lab technician at Pace Analytical. He loved sports of all kinds, but especially enjoyed following the Milwaukee Brewers, the Arizona Cardinals, and the Detroit Red Wings. In the summer he enjoyed softball, and in the winter, bowling and fantasy football, but anytime at all was a good time to spend with friends at the 10th Frame or Dr. Jekyll's in Appleton. There he often carried on deep discussions about countless topics like his philosophy on life, politics, and religion which he always seemed to know a lot about. Nick was special that way he had the gift of just knowing how to be with people. And they gathered around him. He could make friends very quickly, and more than likely, they were bound to be longtime friends after spending some time with Nick. He loved everyone, and knew how to make others feel happy and loved. He always listened and never judged; he always made your day better for being with him.
    Nick is survived by his mother, Barbara Bies, Little Chute; two brothers, Ken Bies, Appleton; and Greg (Jaime) Bies, Platteville, and their son Morgan; sister, Julie Bies, Dallas; a special uncle, Don (Ann) Bies, and their sons Joe, Dan, and Andy were like a second family to Nick. Other survivors include many cousins, aunts, uncles, and countless Facebook friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Bies; his grandparents, Bob (Marjorie) Hoehne and Ray (Agnes) Bies; uncle, Jerry Hoehne; and an aunt, Carol Bies Sanderfoot.
    Family and friends of Nick are invited to gather at Van Abel's of Hollandtown on Tuesday, December 28, 2010, from 4 until 7 p.m. There, memories will be shared, stories will be told, and Nick will be loved and remembered. In lieu of flowers, the family is establishing a memorial fund to honor Nick's memory.
    Nick, the world will be less of a place without you. We will miss you dearly.
