    Patricia A. Vande Burgt, 79, passed away at St. Elizabeth Hospital on Sunday, Sept. 4, 2011. She was born on June 24, 1932, in Crivitz, to the late Glen and Anna (Willis) Swick. Patricia married Adrian Martin Vande Burgt on Sept. 16, 1951. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Patricia was employed at Kaukauna Cheese for over 23 years. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, playing cards and reading.
    Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Adrian; her children, Debra (Allen) Menting, Kaukauna; Dennis (Patti) Vande Burgt, Neenah; Richard (Pamela) Vande Burgt, Appleton; Gail (Charles) Bowman, Neenah; and Gina (Dennis) Mader, Menasha; her grandchildren, Anne (Mike) Carey, Glen (Judy) Beach, Angela (Tony) Simmer, Jennifer Vande Burgt, Kim Vande Burgt, Abby Vande Burgt, Adam Vande Burgt, Megan Vande Burgt, Eric (Stacie) Bowman, Kristi (Derek) Rice, Jennifer (Adam) Mohr, Dana (Jacob) Kruse; her 17 great- grandchildren, her brothers and sisters, Marilyn Kamps, Richard (Margie) Swick, Jacci (Dave) Vandehey, Jill (Tom) Haufe; her in-laws, MaryAnn Swick, Jean Swick, Judy (Jim) Gavaert, Martin (Mary) Vande Burgt Jr, Bertha (Howard) Brux, Betty (Harvey) Schroeder, Mickie Miller, Barb (Laverne) Steinberg, Theresa Eiting; and her special cousin, Roger (Corrine) Schroeder.
    She was preceded in death by her brothers, Glen William Swick Jr., Earl Swick and Roy Swick; and her in-laws, Martin and Hendrika Vande Burgt, John Kamps, Regina Louison, Jerry Miller and Margaret Vande Burgt; and her nephew, Mark Swick.
    The Funeral Liturgy will be at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 8, 2011, at ST. MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 528 Second Street, Menasha, with Fr. Paul Paider officiating. Friends may call directly at the church on Thursday from 8:30 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at St. Elizabeth Hospital-ICU and Chaplin Teri, for their loving care. A memorial has been established in Patricia's name.     Earl "Butch" LeRoy Swick, 75, of Winneconne, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 24, 2009, on his annual fall Minnesota fishing trip with beloved family and friends.
    Butch was born on July 5, 1934, to the late Glen and Anna (Willis) Swick in Kimberly. Earl married Jean Daelke on October 23, 1954. He was in the National Guard, Company D, for six years and retired from American Can in Menasha after 38 years, working as a pressman and a solvent blender. Butch was a member of the Retirees Club in Menasha and the First Presbyterian Church in Winneconne. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards, traveling with his family, and more fishing. Butch is survived by his wife Jean Swick, five children; Julie (Donald) Hammen, Kaukauna, Terry Sue VanderWielen, Neenah, Ken (Jacqueline) Swick, Menasha, Connie (Steve) Towlerton, Waterloo, IA, and Karen (Duane) Kuba, Omro, 13 Grandchildren, Christy (Todd), Carrie (Jon), Andy, Dana, Craig (Amanda), Sarah (Joey), Amy (Steve), Wade, Graham, Courtney, Faye (Brian), Krystal and Amber, nine great-grandchildren, Phoenix, Katelyn, Emily, McKenzie, Lydia, Lainey, Karter, August and Logan. Butch is further survived by brothers and sisters, Marilyn Kamps, Patricia (Adrian) VandeBurgt, Richard (Margie)Swick, Jacqueline (Dave) Vandhey, Jill (Tom) Haufe, Sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Swick, Judy (James) Gavert, Jean Gilson, a brother-in-law, David (Brenda) Lautenschlager and a special cousin, Roger (Corrine) Schroeder, a God daughter, Cheryl (Ralph) Carpenter, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
    Earl was preceded in death by one beloved granddaughter, Kimberly Swick, two brothers Glen "Bill" Swick and Roy Swick, a brother-in-law, John Kamps and a nephew, Mark Swick.
    Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2009, at 11 a.m. at the Memorial Presbyterian Church, 803 E. College Ave., Appleton, with Pastor Mara Rivera officiating. Friends may call on Monday, September 28, 2009, from 4 until 8 p.m. at the Wichmann Funeral Home, and on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the time of services at the Church. Burial will be in the Highland Memorial Park.
