    Obituary:
    William F. "Bill" Bartmann, Appleton, 80, passed away on Friday, Aug. 3, 2007. Bill was born on Feb. 10, 1927, to the late John F. and Alice (Bradley) Bartmann. Bill attended Appleton High School and the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. He served in the U.S. Army during and immediately following World War II after which he became a member of the American Legion Post. He was initially employed by a paper company and then by a lithographer for a total of 43 years. He was a member of First English Lutheran Church.
    On Sept. 15, 1951, Bill married Kay Dreger. They had daughters, Janet Bartmann, Lisa Bartmann and Marcia Immel; grandchildren, Roy (Aubrey) Immel, Kathy Immel, Tess Bartmann and great-grandson, Teydon Immel. Bill had two siblings, Margaret (Clarence) DeWildt and John (Sally) Bartmann and sister-in-law, Diane (Cliff) Van Der Steen.
    Funeral service for Bill will be held on Monday, Aug. 6, 2007, at 4 p.m. at FIRST ENGLISH LUTHERAN CHURCH (N2541 Ballard Road) with Pastor George Detweiler officiating. Interment will be held at Highland Memorial Park. Memorials can be sent in Bill's name to the Appleton YMCA Youth Membership Program, 218 E. Lawrence Street, Appleton, WI 54911.
