Marie E. Van Remortel, 95, De Pere, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2012.
Marie was born Marie Emily Petersen on March 16, 1917 in Suring, WI. She married Victor Van Remortel on November 28, 1936. Together they raised 5 children: Jean (Bill) Vande Hei, Roger (Gladys) Pardowsky, Sally (Jerome) Pfluger, Francis (Jean) Lasee, Richard (significant other Pam Wood). Vic and Marie have 17 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchilden. Marie was the oldest of 8 children: the late John (the late Doris), Violet (Marvin) Puymbroek, Hilda (Lester) Bahrke, Joan (Pat) Grady, Jeanine (George) Peotrowski, Molly (Phil) Weylandt and Mary (Merle) Weihing. Marie is also survived by Vic's brother and sister: Don (Mary Jane) Van Remortel and Laverne Treml.
Marie enjoyed her extended family, gardening, sewing, cooking, and her large collection of dolls.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor; oldest son, Roger; brother, John; son-in-law, Jerry Pfluger. Brothers and sisters-in-law: Marvin Puymbroek, Lester Bahrke, Doris Petersen, Vi (Tony) Bangert, Clarence (Hun) Gullickson, Della Wilson, Vince (Janet), Dolly (Clarence) Zegers, Felix Treml and David Giese.
Family and friends may call at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 220 S. Michigan St, De Pere, on Wednesday, August 8th, from 2:00 until 4:45p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 5:00p.m., at the Church, followed by a luncheon in the Fr. Dolski Parish Center. Interment in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, De Pere. Cotter Funeral Home, De Pere, is assisting the family. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cotterfuneralhome.com

Obituary:
Brenda Ann (Vande Hei) Nichols, 45 years old, passed away on July 1st, 2017, in Green Bay Wisconsin.
Brenda was born in Green Bay on August 19th, 1971. She graduated from Ashwaubenon High School in 1989 and received her Childhood Development Certification from NWTC. She was very involved in the bar and service industry for many years. Most recently employed at Meijer in Howard.
Brenda was also a member of the Packerland HOG Chapter, and enjoyed every moment she spent with her extended Harley family. She was an avid outdoors person, and loved hunting, and fishing. She also loved vacationing on sunny beaches as well as watching sunsets. She played softball for many years.
Brenda is survived by the two greatest joys of her life. Her sons Andrew Nichols, 17, and Austin Nichols, 14. Her parents, William & Jean Vande Hei. Siblings Dan (Pam) Vande Hei, Terri (Amy) Vande Hei, Randy (Barb) Vande Hei, Robert (Kim) Vande Hei. She is also survived by her sons father Dave (Billie) Nichols, Justin (Stephanie) Nichols, Travis (Emily) Nichols, Andrea (Alec) Nichols, special friends James Slota, Lisa Phillips, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Brenda was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Victor & Marie Van Remortel, and her paternal Grandparents John & Velma Vande Hei.
Brenda's celebration of life will be held on July 12th, 2017 at Nativity of our Lord Parish located at 2270 S. Oneida St Green Bay. Visitation will be from 5pm-7pm with service starting at 7pm.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established for family needs.
