    Biography:
    FREDERICK SPEEL, a worthy representative of an old and honored family of Buchanan township, has been a resident of this community all of his life, having been born here May 6, 1868, and now resides on a farm of eighty-two acres located in sections 31 and 32. He is a son of William J. and Catherine (Benarde) Speel, the former a native of Holland and the latter of Luxembourg, Germany, who were married in this country and engaged in agricultural pursuits in Buchanan township until their retirement, which occurred about 1895. William J. Speel is about seventy-five years of age, while his wife, who also survives, has reached the age of sixty-six years. Frederick Speel was his parents' only child, and he always lived with them until their retirement. In about 1900 he bought forty acres in section 32, and in 1903 purchased a farm of 42 acres in section 31, which comprises the eighty-two acres which he now operates. He moved to this land in 1906, and now has sixty-five acres under the plow, all fenced with barbed wire. General farming has received his attention, and he markets dairy products, hogs and some grain, and finds a ready sale for the milk from ten cows. He keeps graded cattle and Chester White hogs. The house, a two-story, seven-room frame structure, is one of the handsome ones of this locality, and in 1907 Mr. Speel erected a barn 32x62 feet, in addition to which he has other substantial buildings for the shelter of his stock, grain and machinery. He is independent in his political views and has never cared for public office, but his father, who is a Democrat, has been a justice of the peace for many years, town clerk for about fifteen years, town treasurer for some time and a member of the school board for a long period. The family is connected with the Holy Angels Church of Darboy, Wisconsin. In July, 1897, Mr. Speel was united in marriage with Miss Susan Monyette, who was born March 22, 1871, daughter of George and Susan (Martinie) Monyette, natives of Germany, who were married in the old country, coming to America in the '60s and locating in Outagamie county. Mrs. Speel's father died when she was but a child and her mother was married again and now lives in this county at the age of seventy-nine years. Mr. and Mrs. Speel have had two children: Isabella E. and Henry W.

    Mrs. Michael Schneider, 73, 800 S. Outagamie street, died about 5:30 Wednesday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Stephen Gehrmann, 1417 W. Eighth street, with whom she had been living. Mrs. Schneider was ill several years.
    Survivors are the widower; four daughters, Mrs. Gehrmann and Mrs. Frank Manderfield, Appleton,and Sister Mary Praxedes and Mrs. Peter Spoel (sic), Green Bay, a brother, Michael Spiel (sic), route 4, Appleton; three sisters, Mrs. Peter Hagens, Hollandtown, Mrs. Jennie Krueger, Kimberly, and Sister Mary Bihildes, Zanesville, Ohio; and 11 grandchildren.
    Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home from 7 o'clock this evening until the services. The rosary will be recited at 8 o'clock tonight, and at 7:30 and 8 o'clock Friday night.
    The cortege will form at the funeral home at 9:30 Saturday morning and the funeral will be at 10 o'clock at St. Joseph church. Burial is to be in St. Joseph cemetery.
    Mrs. Schneider was born April 10, 1876, in Darboy, and lived near there until 31 years ago when she moved to Appleton. She celebrated her Golden Wedding anniversary July 11, 1949. She was a member of the Christian Mother's society, Third Order of St. Francis and St. Joseph Catholic church."

    Formerly of 509 North Durkee Street, age 87, died at 10:20 p.m. Tuesday, October 29, 1985, at the St. Paul Home, Kaukauna, following a lengthy illness. She was born April 19, 1898, in the Town of Buchanan, Wisconsin. Isabella was a bookkeeper all of her life, most recently having been employed at Bee Frank Stores. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughters. Survivors include a brother, Lawrence Speel, Appleton; two nephews; four nieces; and a stepdaughter, Evelyn Kane, Eagle, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her husband, William, a stepson, and a brother. The complete funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 2, 1985, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Father John Zicker officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery.     Rusch, Adeline Adeline H. Rusch, born October 28, 1906, age 105 went to be with Our Lord on July 23, 2012. Adeline was born in Hollandtown, WI to the late Peter and Cornelia (Speel) Hagens. She lived the majority of her life in Milwaukee, 2336 North 47th Street until she moved to the St. Paul Elder Services Villa in Kaukauna in 2006. Adeline was united in marriage to Howarth J. Rusch on September 16, 1933 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Hollandtown. Adeline worked as a nurse and a nanny in Northeast Wisconsin, then worked in military hospitals accompanying her husband during WWII. Her wonderful old age of 105 can be attributed to her healthy lifestyle. She grew, prepared and ate organic foods long before many people knew what the word meant. Grapes, raspberries, peaches, celery, tomatoes, lettuce, endive, peppers and herbs grew in her tiny backyard, many grown from seed and fertilized with leaves and table scrap compost. Adeline was an active member and secretary of the Milwaukee Organic Gardening Club and Cactus Club. She never drove a car so got plenty of exercise walking or taking a bus where ever she went. Adeline is survived by four grandchildren, Adam, Dominic and Angela Kolp of Milwaukee and Sarah Kolp of California. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Cornelia (Speel) Hagens, Husband, Howarth J. Rusch, daughter, Karen Kolp, sister, Estella and brother-in-law, Henry Fahrbach. Funeral services for Adeline will be at 2:30 p.m. at the St. Paul Elder Services Chapel, 312 E. 14th St., Kaukauna on Friday, July 27, 2012. Arlene was born in Mackville on March 27, 191 4, daughter of the late Edward and Johanna (Speel) Krueger. On June 7, 193 8, she married Paul Jansen at Holy Name Church in Kimberly; Paul preced ed her in death on May 4, 1983. For many years, she and Paul owned and ope rated the Jansen Funeral Home in Kimberly, where Arlene was a member of t he William Verhagen Post #60 of the American Legion Auxiliary, the Boa rd of Directors for the Kimberly Library, the Catholic Order of Forester s, and Holy Spirit Parish.     Obituary:
    Edward "Eddie" Krueger, 94, of Darboy, passed on to eternal life on Friday, September 5, 2014 at Appleton Medical Center. Eddie was born on September 16, 1919 in Kimberly to the late Edward and Jenny (nee Speel) Krueger. Eddie grew up in Kimberly during the depression. During his grammar school days spent the summer months working on his uncle Mike's (Speel) farm in Darboy. During this time he learned a lot about life, responsibility, and hard work. Eddie went to school in Kimberly where he graduated from Kimberly High School in 1938. During his high school years Eddie participated in multiple sports including football, basketball and track. After graduation from high school as a young man Eddie was hired to work for the Kimberly Clark at the Kimberly Mill. Eddies papermaking career was interrupted by WWII when he was drafted into the army. He proudly served until he was honorably discharged in 1945. After the war Eddie resumed his papermaking career which would last until his retirement in 1980.
    In 1947 Eddie married Irmagard "Irmie" Peters who he loved for the remainder of her life. In 1960 they moved out to the "then rural" Darboy area where Eddie enjoyed tending to his yard and gardens. Eddie was also a longtime fan of the Packers and a more recent fan of the Celtics. He was a member of Holy Spirit Chruch in Kimberly/ Darboy. Eddie was a witness to much history during his life, and he was blessed with a memory that allowed him to be able to pass along stories from the past.
    Eddie will be sadly missed by his family and friends, including two sons; Steven Krueger, Kaukauna, and Ron Krueger, Darboy, three grandsons; Andy, Adam (fiancée Randi), and Mike (special friend Jamie), special nieces, Tina Horn, Nancy Bartlet, Paula Debruin and Mary Nieling as well as many other nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his loyal Keeshond and dear friend Jett.
    Eddie will be welcomed into heaven with open arms by his parents, with wife Irmie, infant brothers Wilfred and Frederick, a brother Raymond (Jean) Krueger, sisters, Edna Krueger, Mary (Dale) Daniel, Arlene (Paul) Jansen, Georgine Rudolph and loyal Keeshond family Teddy and Casey.
    The funeral service for Eddie will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at 5:00 PM at the JANSEN FARGO FUNERAL HOME, Kimberly, followed by military honors. A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Entombment will be in the Highland Memorial Park.
    Online condolences may be expressed at www.wichmannfargo.com. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Outagamie Humane Society. The family would like to thank staffs of St. Paul's, American Grand, and AMC. Special thanks to all the CNA's who assisted Eddie during the past eight months. Now the physical pain and suffering is over. Now Eddie can join family and friends who he loved and who loved him dearly.

Mary Agnes was very active in the music department of St. Mary Catholic Church where she played organ, was director of the Adult Choir, and director of Hand Bell choir for over 50 years.     Obituary:
    Tod O. Daniel, age 74, of Janesville, WI, died on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison. He was born in Appleton, WI on August 22, 1942, the son of the late Dale and Mary (Krueger) Daniel. On September 5, 1964, he married Carol J. Skibba and together they had four children. He later married Jennifer Weston and they divorced. Tod graduated from Kimberly High School in 1960, St. Norbert College in De Pere, WI in 1964 and Marquette Law School in 1967. After Tod graduated from Law School, he served in the US Army while he was married with two children and one on the way. He was proud of his country and wanted to serve even though he could have received a deferment. His tour of duty included time served in Vietnam.
    Tod practiced law in Janesville as a trial attorney, always looking out for the little guy. He always felt and believed that everyone deserved a fair trial. At times Tod was known to be very opinionated, but at the same time he was very down to earth. He was a very intelligent and unpretentious gentleman, who truly loved to practice law. His hobbies included raising and racing quarter horses, traveling to England, but most of all attending his grandchildren's school and sporting activities.
    He is survived by his four children: Sarah Daniel Emerson of Janesville, Andrew Daniel of Janesville, Jennifer Daniel of Madison, WI, and Matthew Daniel of Hartland, WI; grandchildren: Marques, Bryce, Michael, and Jared Emerson, and John "Jack" and Katherine Daniel. He is further survived by his sister: Jennifer (John Skibba) Christianson of Kimberly, WI; brother: Phillip (Sue) Daniel of Sobieski, WI, sister-in-law: Bea Daniel of Appleton, WI; his aunt: Marie Juhre of Kaukauna, WI; many other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother: Dennis Daniel.
    Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at the Whitcomb - Lynch Funeral Home. Burial with Military Rites will follow at Holy Name Catholic Cemetery in Kimberly, WI. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Whitcomb - Lynch Funeral Home and again on Thursday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
    Memorials can be made in Tod's name to; Washington Seminar, c/o Parker High School, 3125 Mineral Point Ave., Janesville, WI 53548.
