    The funeral of Ernest Martzahl. route 3. Kaukauna. who was killed at Menasha when he fell into a lock while moving timbers in a construction job..will be held at 9 o'clock Saturday morning at Holy Cross church, Kaukauna with Msgr. P. J. Lochman in charge. Burial will be in Holy Cross cemetery. The body will lie in state at the home of his mother, Mrs. Bertha Martzahl, Lincoln ave. Kaukauna.
    Survivors of Mr. Martzahl are his mother, his widow, four children Louis, Mildred, Earl and Lucille: six brothers; Walter Herbert, William, Karl and Alfred, Kaukauna, Henry, Buchanon: Three sisters, Nora and Louise of Appleton and Mabel of Kaukauna.

    Alfred Marzahl, age 98, was called to his Lord's waiting arms on Friday, May 18, 2012, at Cherry Meadows Hospice. Al was born in Kaukauna in September 3, 1913, son of the late August and Bertha (Zemke) Marzahl. He was confirmed in his Christian faith on April 22, 1928 at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Kaukauna by Rev. Th. Oehlert. On May 15, 1941, Al married the former Violet Retzlaff at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Kaukauna; Vi preceded him in death in 2008. Al had been employed by Thilmany Pulp and Paper for forty-four years, and retired in 1977 as a machine tender. He was a longtime and faithful member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church. There he served on the church board and cemetery board for many years.
    During World War II, Al served in the United States Navy in the Mobile Fleet Post Office. He was awarded the Asiatic Pacific Ribbon, Philippines Liberation Ribbon, Bronze Star, Victory Medal, and American Theatre Ribbon. In 2010, he was honored to have been the oldest veteran on the Old Glory Honor Flight, which he enjoyed with his son Tom. Al was currently a member of the Electric City Post #41 of the American Legion and the Past Commanders Club. He was also the Post Service Officer for over thirty-five years.
    Al is survived by four daughters: Joyce (Oliver ) Kruse of Menasha; Bette Marzahl of Combined Locks; Nancy (George) Traucht of Jackson; and Carol Moyer of Kaukauna; a son: Thomas (Lori) Marzahl of Menasha. There are eleven loving grandchildren: Elizabeth "Betsy" (Steven) McCrary of Sun Prairie; Timothy (Rozalyn) Kruse of Darboy; James (Bonnie) Kruse of Colorado Springs; Rachel (Kurt) Becker of Greenfield; Sarah Traucht of Milwaukee; Elisabeth (Rev. Aaron) Robinson of Milwaukee; Benjamin (Krista) Traucht of Jackson; Amanda (Rev. Jon) Bergemann of Woodbridge, Virginia; Sam Marzahl of Menasha; Melody Moyer of Milwaukee; and Dennis Moyer of Kaukauna. There are nineteen great-grandchildren: Aaron, Joshua, and Noah McCrary; Elijah, Ella, and Evan Kruse; Alissa and Trever Sottosanti; Nora Kruse; Grace and Emily Becker; Esther, Olivia, Arthur "Mack", Amaya, and Isaiah Robinson; Levi Traucht; and Ella and Micah Bergemann. Two sisters-in-law also survive: Doris Marzahl and Betty (LeRoy) Priebe. Al was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Violet, a grandson, six brothers, five sisters, and many nieces and nephews and other relatives.
    The Christian Funeral for Al will be held at 1:30 PM on Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at TRINITY EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 804 Grignon Street in Kaukauna, with Rev. Karl Schultz and Rev. Timothy Wilkens officiating. Full military honors will follow the service. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call directly at the church on Wednesday from 11:30 AM until the hour of the service.
    In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established to assist the Radio Broadcast Fund at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church.

    Rosella Raether, 88, Appleton, passed away on Friday, Dec. 7, 2007, at Oak Ridge Gardens, Menasha. Rosella was born on Sept. 4, 1919, in Kaukauna, to the late Henry and Mary (Verhoven) Martzahl. She married John W. Raether on Oct. 7, 1939, in Appleton. He preceded her in death on Aug. 19, 2003. Rosella was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a Fox Valley resident all of her life. Rosella was a long-time member of Riverview Lutheran Church, Appleton, and was employed at St. Elizabeth Hospital for over 20 years. Her love of music prompted her to sing with various bands around the area. Rosella was well-known for her creative nature, enjoyed gardening and especially the time she spent with her grandchildren. She dedicated her life to her family.
    Survivors include her son, Harvey (Janet) Raether, Menasha; her daughter, Mary (Lon) Allen, Clintonville; her son, Jack (Debra) Raether, Appleton; her grandchildren, Sue (Richard) Carlson, Lynn Raether, Marny (David) Mincheff, Matthew Mischler, John and Jack Raether; her great-grandchildren, Jonathon Carlson, Michael Carlson, Nicholas Carlson, Samuel Carlson, Nicholas Mincheff and Bran Mincheff; her sisters, Laura Heegeman and Helen Jackovich.
    She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Daniel; her sisters, Delores Hermus, Dorothy Benotch, Martha Hehner and Betty Sherwood; her brothers, Robert Martzahl and Henry "Sonny" Martzahl; and her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
    Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2007, at RIVERVIEW EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 136 West Seymour Street, Appleton, with the Rev. Dennis Belter officiating. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home Tri-County Chapel, Menasha, on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. and again directly at the church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
    In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in her name.
    The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at Oak Ridge Gardens and Heartland Hospice for their loving care.

    Laura Heegeman, age 91, of Appleton, passed away peacefully on Monday July 23, 2012 at the Appleton Medical Center. Laura was born on February 2, 1921 in Kaukauna, daughter of the late Henry and Mary Martzahl.
    Laura enjoyed tending her flower garden, putting together puzzles with her daughter Barbara, going out to eat and especially shopping. But most of all Laura enjoyed spending time with her great grandchildren.
    Laura is survived by her by her three children; Gerald (Nancy) Knorr of Rhindlander, Judy (Chuck) Schultz of Hemet, CA, and Barbara (Dale) Knaack of Neenah. Laura will also be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren; Tammy, Scott, Melissa, Brian, Doug, Dawn, Dave and Paula, as well as her 12 great grandchildren and sisters; Betty Sherwood and Helen Jackovich. Laura is preceded in death by her daughter Diane Bork.
    Laura's family would like to express their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the staff at Emerald Valley Assisted Living for the exceptional care Laura received. They would also like to thank the nurses and staff at the Appleton Medical Center for their kindness and support.
    Laura's wishes were to be cremated and no funeral or memorial service will be held. If you knew Laura, please take a moment and remember her in your own special way.

    Robert J. "Mush" Martzahl, of Kaukauna, age 85, died Tuesday, May 3, 2005 at the Appleton Medical Center. Bob was born in Kaukauna on September 1, 1919, son of the late Walter and Katherine (Dolan) Martzahl. On July 22, 1941, he married the former Celia Lemke; she preceded him in death in 1989. During World War II, Bob served his country as a member of the United States Army, and was stationed in Europe. For over forty years, he was employed at Thilmany Pulp and Paper in Kaukauna, and retired in 1981. He enjoyed playing sheepshead, musky fishing, and was also a great bowler in his day. He enjoyed the closeness of his family, and was a proud and loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
    Survivors include five sons: Jon (Paula) Martzahl of Kaukauna; Ron (Karen) Martzahl of Plover; Rob Martzahl of Kaukauna and his special friend Vickie Miller; Barry (Cheryl) Martzahl of Green Bay; and Mark (Ginny) Martzahl of Darboy; thirteen grandchildren: Leslea (Brian) White, Laura Hunt, Erin (Mike) McCoy, Bryan Martzahl, Megan and Rachel Martzahl, Eric, Andrew, Nicholas, and Thomas Martzahl, Courtney and Betsy Kramer, and Alec Martzahl; seven great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, June Richards of Michigan; a sister, Patricia Siebers of Kaukauna; a sister-in-law, Aileen Laib of Stephensville; and an aunt and uncle: Al and Vi Marzahl of Kaukauna.
    Bob was preceded in death by his parents, a son James Martzahl, a brother Bill (Dorothy) Martzahl, infant brothers James and David Martzahl; by sisters Lillian Hopfensperger and Mary Lappen, and brothers-in-law Dick Siebers, Don Hopfensperger, and Don Lappen.
    The funeral liturgy for Bob will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 6, 2005 at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street in Kaukauna, with Fr. Matt Settle officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 until 7 p.m. and again on Friday at the church from 9 a.m. until the hour of the service.

    Clara M. Van Dyke, 87, Green Bay, passed away peacefully at Harmony Life Center on Monday, January 28, 2008. She was born in Kaukauna to the late William and Genevieve (Van Dyke) Martzahl. On April 23, 1942, she married Clarence J. Van Dyke at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kaukauna; he preceded her in death on December 5, 1992. They farmed together most of their lives in the Wrightstown, Pulaski and Oneida areas until they retired in 1973, and then moved to Shawano in 1989. Clara lived her Christian faith daily and was much beloved by all who knew her. She enjoyed the Packers, playing cards and being with family.

    Mary G. Krueger, 91, passed away on Friday, January 23, 2015 at Elder Care Cottages in Waterford. Mary was born on June 20, 1923 in Kaukauna to William and Genevieve (Van Dyke) Martzahl. After she graduated from high school she went to the St. Clara Home in Milwaukee and worked at International Harvester. Mary then enlisted in the US Navy where she met her future husband Leon. After serving as an aviation machinist's mate third class she married Leon Krueger on June 29, 1946 at Holy Cross Catholic Church. She also worked at Zwicker's Knitting Mill and later she retired from the Kaukauna Club Cheese Company. Mary enjoyed gardening, knitting, golfing and loved to bake. Some of the most important things to Mary were her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and the special memories they made together will always be cherished. Her faith was important to her and she was a life long member of Holy Cross Catholic Church.
    Mary is survived by her children; Georgia (Terry) Riggles, Michael (Christine) Krueger, David Krueger, Christine (Larry) Krueger, Mary Sue Krueger and Patricia (Jon) Horn, seven grandchildren; Shaun, Kyle (Bridgette), Cole, Leon, Christopher, Jericho (Kim), Stephanie (Matthew), 9 great grandchildren; Brynlee, Gwen, Sawyer, Calder, Vaughn, Fisher, Serena, Jameson, and Marianna, four siblings; Jerry Martzahl, Mary Jane Milheiser, Ann (Tom) Jansen, Paul (Sandy) Martzahl, a sister-in-law, Rita Martzahl, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

    Eugene W. "Gene" Martzahl, age 86, passed away on April 15, 2012 at Appleton Health Care Center. Gene was born September 27, 1925 to Genevieve (Van Dyke) and William Martzahl in Kaukauna, WI. On May 25, 1946 he was married to Vivian Hennes. After attending Kaukauna High School, Gene volunteered to proudly serve in the U.S. Navy during WWII on the USS Saratoga. After he was honorably discharged, he returned to Kaukauna to marry his high school sweetheart, Vivian Hennes. Eugene was employed by Thilmany Paper Company for 44 years before retiring in 1987. Gene took pride in his lawn and gardening; he loved growing roses and tending to the house and yard. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his sons at the family cabin. Aside from hunting, he also enjoyed family gatherings, bonfires and playing cards at the cabin. Gene loved to golf and enjoyed traveling south on golfing vacations. In the Summer Gene looked forward to the EAA Convention. Eugene will be dearly missed by his children: Carolyn (Tom) Tovrea, Cindi (Robert) Patschke, Timothy (Cindy) Martzahl, Christine (Ralph) Headson, Thomas (Joni) Martzahl, Mary Tease and James (Karen) Martzahl. Gene was very proud of his 16 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. He is further survived by sisters, Mary Krueger, Germaine McCabe, Mary Jane (Bob) Milheiser, Ann (Tom) Jansen; brothers, Jack (Rita) Martzahl, Jerry Martzahl and Paul (Sandy) Martzahl; sisters in law, Rosella (Leo) Eimmerman and Lynn Hennes; and brothers in law, Duane (Mitzi) Hennes, Dr. Thomas (Rosalie) Hennes and Norman Gerhartz. Eugene was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian Martzahl; his parents, William and Genevieve Martzahl; his mother and father in law, Johanna and Norbert Hennes; his sister, Clara (Martzahl) Van Dyke; brothers in law, Clarence Van Dyke, Leon Krueger and Howard McCabe; sister in law, Rosalie Gerhartz and brother in law Harold Hennes. The memorial service will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at ST. PAUL'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 410 Wallace Street, Combined Locks.     John P. "Jack" Martzahl, 85, Wrightstown, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2013 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 21, 1927 in Kaukauna, son of the late William and Genevieve Martzahl. After attending Holy Cross Catholic School he started working at Manitowoc Ship Yards in 1943. Following his job at Manitowoc Ship Yards he began to work at Thilmany Pulp and Paper in 1944. While working at Thilmany's he was drafted in the Army from 1946 to 1947 and was stationed in Korea. After returing he joined the American Legion Urban Klister Post 436 for an astounding 62 years. In 1969, he was inducted to the Quarter Century Club at Thilmany's. Jack also enjoyed the 18 years spent working at Bowers Brothers Feed Mill in Wrightstown and met many lifelong friends. Jack was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed the Packers, Brewers, Badgers and NASCAR and never missed a game. When he wasn't watching sports you could find him in his garden or driving his John Deere tractors.
    On June 3, 1950 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kaukauna, he married the love of his life, Rita Baeten. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Rita; his 5 children: Shari (Mike) Petersen, Hollandtown, Joe (Donna) Martzahl, Greenleaf, Pam (Randy) Kaster, De Pere, Rick (Deb), De Pere, Dan (Janine) Martzahl, Green Bay. He will be truly missed by his grandchildren, Cora and Curt Bradley, Jen and Jeremy Zahringer, Abbey and Andy Adrian, Mike and Rachaele Petersen, Jamie, Jonathon, Jordan and Jackson Martzahl and Andrea and Kaitlin Martzahl; great-grandchildren: Gavin and Wyatt Bradley, Sophia, Cayden, Grayson, and Trystan Zahringer, Emma and Evan Adrian; Haiden Martzahl; and Taylor Martzahl.     Germaine C. Mc Cabe, Kaukauna
    Age 84, passed away in peace and comfort on Monday, August 11, 2014 at Parkside Care Center in Little Chute following a short illness. She was born on October 22, 1929 in Kaukauna, daughter of the late William and Genevieve (Van Dyke) Martzahl. On April 15, 1950 she was united in marriage to Howard P. Mc Cabe at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kaukauna. They were married for 56 years before he preceded her in death on January 7, 2006. Germaine was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Church, Kaukauna. Although she worked briefly for Kaukauna Club, her life's devotion was being a stay-at-home mother to her six children. Germaine enjoyed singing in St. Mary's Choir, traveling, and playing bingo. Reading, crocheting, and praying the rosary for anyone in need were a few of her favorite pastimes. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy.
    She is survived by her children: Dan (Linda) Mc Cabe, Kaukauna, Sarah (Ken) Van Mun, Kimberly, William Mc Cabe, Kaukauna, Kathleen (fiancé Shawn Demerath), Combined Locks, Patricia Mc Cabe, Philadelphia, Mary (Todd) Roovers, Kaukauna; twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She is further survived by sisters: Mary Krueger, MaryJane (Bob) Milheiser, Ann (Tom) Jansen, and brothers: Paul (Sandy) Martzahl and Gerald Martzahl; sisters-in-law: Rita Martzahl and Dorothy Mc Cabe. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Howard, brothers Jack Martzahl and Gene Martzahl, sister Clara Van Dyke, brothers-in-law: Leon Krueger, Clarence Van Dyke, and Harold Mc Cabe, sisters-in-law: Vivian Martzahl, Doris Mc Cabe, and Lorraine (Sr. John) Mc Cabe.
    The Mass of Christian Burial for Germaine will be held at 4:00 PM on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at St. Katharine Drexel Parish @ St. Mary Church, 119 West Seventh St., Kaukauna with Fr. Jerry Pastors celebrating. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends will be received directly at the church on Thursday from 1:00 PM until the time of the mass.     Hazel June Brunner, age 94, of Combined Locks, passed away peacefully on November, 18, 2014, at Appleton Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. Hazel was born on August 20, 1920 to the late Frank and Nora (Marzahl) Heimke. Hazel married the late Harold Brunner on August 23, 1947.
    Hazel was an avid embroiderer, spending the winter months making countless dish towels for her family. She was often found listening to polka music on Saturday mornings and then watching Lawrence Welk on Saturday evenings.
    Hazel worked at Thilmany Paper in her younger years and then raised her family before returning to work at Colony Oaks Care Center where she stayed until age 75. She walked the 2.2 miles there and back for 27 years (and sometimes made the trip twice in one day to cover someone else's shift for them.) Thanks to all who offered her a ride when seeing her walking through town.

    Thank you also to the Nursing Staff from the 7th floor at AMC. While Mom was not always aware of what was happening, her family was very much appreciative of your care and concern, or a special hug when we needed it.
    Thank you to all the members of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church who visited with Mom at home and the rehab center. She so enjoyed the special goodies from someone's kitchen or Karen's garden. Thanks especially to Pastor Johnston for his visits to Mom at her home, at St. Paul Rehab and at the hospital. Your comforting words helped us through many trying moments, but helped us to remember that when Mom was ready, the Lord would be waiting.
    She was and always has been a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved to keep up on what was all happening with everyone in the family. She especially loved visits from them all. We will certainly miss her smile but know that the Lord has her now in his keeping. We will meet again one day.

    Nancy C. (Martzahl) Deitz, age 60, New London/Bancroft, accepted a bear hug from Jesus on May 21, 2011, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, surrounded by her loving family. She was a loving mother and grandmother born on July 18, 1950, to Herbert and Agnes Martzahl. At 18, she married Roger Deitz and had a daughter, Tina Marie. After the passing of Roger she became engaged to Marvin Ernst and had a son, Bradley Marvin. Marvin Ernst preceded her in death. Eight years ago she was blessed again to have met her love Peter Rekoske.
    During her life she worked at Mer and Jackie's Supper Club, Pantry Restaurant. She also worked for Peters Poultry, Bush Sauerkraut, Hillshire Farms (SaraLee), Old Country Buffet and finally retiring from Kings Wisconsin Veterans Home where she worked in the Kitchen. Her hobbies included working with her and Pete's Recycling business, which on any given day you could catch her cleaning copper or out rummaging looking for that right piece of brass. She loved spending time with her kids and grandkids. She loved going to the casino to play the slots or going out to a restaurant for coffee and a lot of socializing or even stopping for a cold one to talk to friends.
    She is survived by a daughter, Tina Deitz-Gilman (Scott); a son, Bradley (Shari Cochran and her children, Stephen, Eddie, Chelsea and D.J.); grandson, Xavier Ernst, special friend, Peter Rekoske (and family). Four sisters, Jean (Gerald) Bauman, Susan (Harold) Schroeder, Norma (Dennis) Van Elzen and Judith Pahl; four brothers, Donald (Shirley) Martzahl; Melvin (Diane) Martzahl, and Philip (Becky) Martzahl; brother-in-laws, Gerald Buchberger and Henry (Charlene) Dietz; sister-in-laws, Shirley (Dennis) Larue and Kathy. Nana is further survived by three very special boys: Devon, Zachary Ryan, and Jordan Kuhnke; special friends, Dawn Ryan, Sherry Derks and Rickie Limoges, very special families, the Kuhnkes and Van Stratens and also many nieces and nephews.
    Funeral services for Nancy will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2011, at 7 p.m. at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home, New London, with Pastor Rodney Otto Jr. officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday from 4 p.m. until the time of service.
    The family would like to extend a sincere than you to Town of Grant and Bancroft first responders. Also St. Michaels Emergency room staff at Steven Point, and most of all CCU nurses, Valerie, Corey, Jessica and the rest of the staff at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

    Pennie L. Kavanaugh, Kaukauna, age 72, died Saturday January 25, 2014. She was born in Appleton on March 22, 1941 to the late James and Mabel (Marzahl) Andrews. Pennie married Thomas J. Kavanaugh at St. Mary's Church in Kaukauna on September 17, 1960. He preceded her in death on June 27, 1990. Pennie hosted over 55 foreign exchange students through the years. She was an avid reader, loved to travel, and enjoyed cooking and gardening. Pennie touched many lives through her involvement with the Girl Scouts, foster care, and PALS programs. She was a lifelong member of Bethany Lutheran Church.

    Janet Bodway, Neenah, age 75, passed away at her home on Tuesday morning, September 27, 2011. Janet was born in Kaukauna on January 31, 1936, daughter of the late John and Dorothy (Martzel) Benotch. She attended school in Kaukauna and married Kenneth M. Bodway at Holy Cross Church there on June 19, 1954. Ken preceded her in death in 1993. For many years, Janet worked at Clayton School in Neenah.     Timothy Michael Vercauteren, 36, died at home unexpected on Friday, Jan. 8, 2010. Tim was born July, 5, 1973, in Green Bay, Wis., the son of Michael Vercauteren and Karen (Hopfensperger) Deprey. He attended Ashwaubenon High School, University of Milwaukee (Bachelors Degree), Seattle University (International Marketing MBA).
    Tim loved his lifelong partner of 10 years McDavid; he also adored their dog Cocoa.
    He had passion for education, teaching and traveling. He previously worked at Ernst & Young as an International Market Analyst.
    Tim was also a member at Nativity Parish.
    Tim is survived by loving partner McDavid Adams; Mother, Karen (Ted) Deprey; Sister, Terri Schneider of Green Bay; Brothers, Tom Schneider of Salvador, Brazil, Mike Vercauteren of Green Bay, Andy (Jennifer) Vercauteren of Green Bay, Randy (Susan) Vercauteren of Rochester, NY; Godchild, Renee Bowers of North Dakota; and the other nieces and cousins. Tim was preceded in death by his father; Michael Vercauteren.
    Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2010, at Nativity of Our Lord Parish, 2270 S. Oneida Street, Green Bay, from 10 until the Funeral Service at 11 a.m. with Farther Benjamin, officiating.
    In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established in Timothy's name to defer the cost of funeral expenses.

She was bo rn on May 10, 1917, in Little Chute to Henry and Marie (Van Gompel) Verbet en. Eleanor was a graduate of both St. John's Grade School and High Schoo l. On May 30, 1941, she married her forever love, Bob Vanden Heuvel. In 19 47 they moved to Wrightstown, and together operated Van's Food Market unt il 1974. Eleanor was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Wrightstow n, where she participated in Christian Mothers. Mom was also a member of W rightstown's American Legion Auxiliary Post 436.Eleanor spent her entire life helping others, starting as an adolescent st aying with her grandmother, and later in life taking care of her mother Ma rie, then taking her father-in-law Joe into her and Bob's home. The coup le enjoyed square dancing, playing cards, and spending time with their won derful friends and family.Her children and grandchildren were the most precious people in her lif e. She is survived by her children, Karen and Tom Zirbel; Connie and Dav id Schwalenberg; Tom and Jeanne Vanden Heuvel; and grandchildren, David a nd Lynn Zirbel; Sarah Zirbel and fiance Bob Schisel, Anna, Leah and Mar ia Schwalenberg; Emily Vanden Heuvel and special friend Cory Promer; and L iz Vanden Heuvel. Not to be forgotten are her sister, Millie Oskar; brothe r, Jerry, and sister-in-law, Jo Ann Verbeten; sisters-in-law, Helen Van Vr eede; Wynne Vanden Heuvel; and many nieces and nephews. The family wish ed to thank her special friends, including her card clubs, her Tuesday vis itors, Bill and Ethel Mitchler; her special angel Jan Johnson; her co-gran dma Grandma Schwally; and her Legion Auxiliary friends.     Infant Myles Graham Siebers, of Appleton, passed away at St. Vincent Hospital on Wednesday, March 22, 2012. He will be dearly missed by his parents, Ashley and Wesley Siebers; grandparents: Monica and Greg Driessen, and Barbara and Timothy Siebers; aunts: Erika (Sean) Mantei, Allie Woychek, Faith Driessen, Heather (John) Sexton, Hollie (John) Hammen, and Maria Siebers; and many other loving family members and friends.
    The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 26, 2012 at the Fargo Funeral Home, with John Hammen officiating.
