    MENASHA - George N Gosz, 71, Rt 1. Menasha, died Saturday, afternoon after an illness of two months Born Dec 6, 1895. at High Cliff, he had been a resident of the Town of Harrison all his life. He was a veteran of World War I, and a member of the Thomas Kees American Legion Post of Sherwood Survivors are the widow, Olive, one son Clifford Gosz, N. Hollywood, Calif one brother, Lawrence Gosz, Appleton, one sister Mrs. Lena Luniak, Appleton, and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 11 am Tuesday at the Laemmrich Funeral Home, Menasha, and at 11 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sherwood, with the Rev. Michael Drexler officiating Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, with military rites at the graveside Friends may call after 3pm. today at the funeral home, where the rosary will be prayed at 8 this evening.

    Asella Olive (nee Gosz) (Mrs. Norbert Williamson) Sally Williamson, age 79 of Appleton, passed away suddenly on Sunday, July 1, 2007, at Appleton Medical Center. Sally was born January 12, 1928, in the village of High Cliff the daughter of the late William and Johanna (Lettler) Gosz. On January 20, 1948, she was united in marriage to Norbert Williamson at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sherwood. They would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this coming January. Sally was employed as a nurse's aid at St. Elizabeth Hospital for 31 years, retiring in 1989. She will be remembered as a devoted wife and mother who loved vacations at the lake, traveling, bingo, and most of all her family. Sally was a charter member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church.
    Survivors include her husband Norbert; two daughters: Norreen (Bob) Haak, Winneconne; Nyla Williamson, New Franken, WI; two grandchildren: Jim (Anne) Haak ,Greenville and Jeff Haak, Appleton; four great-grandchildren: Ali, Madelyn, Ella, and Ava Haak; sister-in-law Rosemary Gosz, Appleton; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Rosella Hawley, Appleton; Mary Ann (Earl) Vande Hey, Appleton; Bernice Maes, Kaukauna; Cecelia (Carl) Hojan, Holiday, FL; Clarence Williamson, Appleton; also many nieces and nephews.
    In addition to her parents, Sally was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister-in-law: Marvin (Ruth) and William Gosz and a sister and brother-in-law Eunice (Ray) Balthzar; also brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Peter Williamson, Elizabeth Williamson, Virginia Blair, George Williamson, Richard Williamson, Henry Williamson, Mildred Nenning, Norbert Hawley, and Henry Maes.
    The Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday, July 5th at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, corner of Glendale and McDonald Sts in Appleton, with Fr. Gerald Falk officiating. Interment will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call directly at the church from 9:30 a.m. Thursday until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.

    Linda C. Hurley, 65, Appleton, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Wed. April 27, 2016 at Appleton Medical Center following her second battle with cancer. She was born on Oct. 7, 1950 in Milwaukee to the late Joseph and Elaine (Gosz) Zeegers. Linda was united in marriage to Thomas O. Hurley on Sept. 2, 1972.
    Linda enjoyed biking was an avid reader and her and Tom enjoyed going to area Supper Clubs. She loved her family and time spent together especially with her sisters on Saturday mornings.
    She will be greatly missed by her husband, Tom Hurley, Appleton; children: Paul Hurley, Appleton and Shelley (Daniel) Van Hoof, Kaukauna; grandchildren: Brady Hurley, Evelyn and Calvin Van Hoof; siblings: Robert Zeegers, Appleton; Jean (Russ) Berggren, Hortonville; Christine (Leon) Schabow, Appleton; Kathy (Charles) Spoehr, Appleton; Jeff Zeegers, Appleton; Nancy (Cyril) Wimberger, Appleton; Paula Mueller, Appleton; Matthew (Ann) Zeegers, Appleton and Andrew (Shelley) Zeegers, Appleton; mother-in-law: Marcella Campshure; sister-in-law: Sandra Hurley; brother-in-law: Bill (Diane) Hurley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
    Linda was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Mark Zeegers.
    A Mass of Resurrection for Linda will be held at 12 PM Noon on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at St. Pius X Catholic Church with Rev. Thomas Farrell officiating. Friends may visit the family directly at church on Saturday from 10 AM until the time of Mass. Entombment will take place in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Appleton. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society . A full obituary will appear in Friday's edition or visit the website.

    Hortonville - Jean Berggren, 66, Hortonville, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Saturday, March 31, 2018. And left COPD behind.
    She was born on Dec. 10, 1951 in Appleton to the late Joseph and Elaine (Gosz) Zeegers. Jean married Russ Berggren in 1977, and they shared over 41 years together.
    Jean worked many years in the banking, paper and insurance industries, temporarily interrupting her career to raise her children. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of plants, flowers, birds and wildlife which she viewed from her back porch at home. She had a green thumb and enjoyed cooking, canning and freezing the produce harvested from their garden. She valued the importance of a regular family dinner.
    She was a progressive thinker and was well-informed on current events. She took a common sense view on all issues. Jean was a very knowledgeable sports fan, particularly enjoying football, basketball and baseball. She was a lifetime reader and had ceramics and cross stitch as hobbies for many years.
    Jean enjoyed wintering in Florida and volunteering as a tutor at Hortonville Elementary School. She liked meeting, knowing, and listening to people. Jean and Russ were early members of Christus Lutheran church, and she served on the Church council.
    She will be greatly missed by her husband Russ, their children Scott (Kim) and Jane, and grandchildren Weston & Layken. She is survived by her siblings: Robert, Christine (Leon) Schabow, Kathy (Charles) Spoehr, Jeff, Nancy (Cyril) Wimberger, Paula Mueller, Matthew (Ann) and Andrew (Shelley). Jean is also survived by Russ' brothers Paul (Judy) and John (Mickie), and sister Camille (Mike) Wehner. And special friends Rich and Colette Rohm and Sandra Claussen, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
    In addition to her parents and Russ' parents, Jean was preceded in death by her sister Linda (Tom) Hurley and brother Mark (Tina).
    The memorial service for Jean will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 6, 2018 at CHRISTUS LUTHERAN CHURCH (N1915 Julius Drive, Greenville) with Rev. Jennifer Christenson officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until the time of service.
    Memorials may be directed to the Larsen-Winchester Lions Club and its remarkable medical equipment program.
