    Elizabeth Bastian, daughter of the late George and Carrie (Simpson) Lambie, passed away in her sleep at her home, on Thursday, September 23, 2010, and will be reunited in Heaven with her husband Clarence, her grandson, Jim Hillegas, and her parents. Betty was born on June 6, 1913. She married Clarence Bastian on February 3, 1930; he preceded her in death in 1977. Together they farmed in the Town of Freedom for all of their married life. In addition to working alongside her husband on the farm, Betty helped with bookkeeping when Clarence sold Funk's Seed Corn. She enjoyed gardening, especially working with her raspberries. Many beautiful dolls, which she crocheted, were given as gifts. In her quiet way, her genuine caring for others made a difference in so many lives.
    She will be missed by her daughter, Sandi Hillegas, her granddaughter Lisa Hungerford (fiance Scott Falkner), their children, Lindsey (Nick) Stehofsky and Paul Falkner; great-great-grandson, Anthony; her son, Ron (Noretta) Bastian, Reedsville, and their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; and her sister, Georgia Arndt, De Pere.
    She is further preceded in death by her brother, Stanley Lambie, and three sisters and brothers-in-law: Esther (Ed) Nelson, Edna (Harold) Tank, and Blanche (George) LaRue, and brother-in-law, Ted Arndt. Also with her will be her husband's sister, Viola (Joe) Williamsen and his brothers, Roy (Elsie) Bastian and Gilbert (Agnes) Bastian.
    Funeral Services for Elizabeth will be at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, September 28, 2010, at BOETTCHER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna, with Chaplain Jordan Kuczwara officiating. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park in Appleton. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
    Thanks to Lisa and Scott for all their help. Thanks also to Mike Landeau, who was always ready to brighten her day with a helping hand and a warm hug. We wish to express a special thanks to the ThedaCare at Home Hospice staff and volunteers for all the care and compassion they gave mom.
    Mom, thank you for being a great friend and mom. I love you very much.

    Ronald "Ron" C. Bastian, age 85, of Reedsville, passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay surrounded by his family.
    Ron was born on August 4, 1931 in Freedom, son of the late Clarence F. and Elizabeth (Lambie) Bastian. From 1952 - 1954, he served our country in the United States Army. On November 10, 1954, he married Noretta J. Mader at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sherwood. The couple would have celebrated 62 years of marriage this November. Ron was born and raised on a farm, and even though he worked at other places for a short time after the couple married, he returned to farming. The couple owned and operated their dairy farm until their retirement. He was an honorary member of the Reedsville Sportsman's Club and a member at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Whitelaw. Ron enjoyed playing cards, especially with his father and his father-in-law, and loved spending time with his family.
    Ron is survived by his wife of almost 62 years, Noretta of Reedsville; their children and spouses: Rebecca J. (David) Reinke of Brillion, Timothy R. (Lori) Bastian of Brillion, Robert J. (Lori) Bastian of Manitowoc, Teresa L. (Michael) Glasow of Reedsville, Karl L. (Jenny) Bastian of Potter, Valerie J. (Paul) Kero of Neenah, and Marlo A. (Kevin) Burns of Appleton; 22 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one sister: Sandra Hillegas of Freedom, three brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law: George E. (Eleanor) Mader of Stockbridge, Deanna (Max) Wolf of Neenah, Leonard Schmidt of De Pere, and Violet Mader of Appleton; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, his father-in-law and mother-in-law: George and Olive (Klassen) Mader, one great-grandson: Devin; and in-laws: Ethel (Oliver) Kruse, Marion (James) Beach, Gerald (Irene) Mader, Adrian (Lucille and Audrey) Mader, Virginia (Clarence) Schmidt, Dolores Schmidt, and Robert Mader.
    Funeral Mass will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Whitelaw. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial is the Very Rev. Richard Klingeisen. Military Rites will be accorded by the Reedsville AmVets Post 1032. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Reedsville on County W.
    Friends may call at the church on Tuesday morning from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
    Online condolences may be made.
    In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established.
    The family wishes to thank the Reedsville First Responders and the Valders Ambulance Service, especially Jay. They would also like to thank Aurora BayCare in Green Bay, the nurses, the doctors, and the hospice team for their care and compassion. And a special thank you to Dr. Mark Riede and Caitlin.
