Very soon after that the little Hartjeses began to make their appearances. Martin, in 1864, followed in quick succession by Peter and Anthony, who was the first one to be born in America. Peter died at sea. This was Mother's first great sorrow. She never forgot the sad burial of the little year old boy in the big Atlantic. Anthony died as an infant in Little Chute, date unknown.

    Albert Hartjes
    527 W. Main St., Little Chute Age 93, passed away at 10:30 3.m. Saturday after a short illness. He was born in Kimberly January 29, 1873 and was a lifelong resident of Little Chute. He was a charter member of the Little Chute Community Band and a member of the Holy Name Society. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Marian (Gertrude) Vanden Heuvel, Little Chute and Mrs. John (Lucina) Johnson, Kimberly: one brother. Peter, Rudolph, Wis.; one sister, Sister M. Lucina, Racine; 11 grandchildren; 37 g r eat-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 11 a-m. at St. John Catholic Church, Little Chute, with burial in the parish cemetery. The Verkuilen Funeral Home. Little Chute, was in charge of arrangements.

    Lucina C. Johnson 144 Will ow Street KimberlyAge 95, passed away Friday, January 26, 2001, at St. Paul Home in Kaukaun a. Cena was born in Little Chute on July 25, 1905, daughter of the late Al bert and Lena (Green) Hartjes. On July 22, 1929, she married John Johns on in Little Chute. He preceded her in death in 1987. Lucina was a longtim e, faithful, and very active member of Holy Name Catholic Church in Kimber ly, where she was also a member of the Ladies of Holy Name and the Missi on Ladies. She was also a member of the Kimberly Golden Agers, and many wi ll remember Lucina for her volunteer efforts at Colony Oaks Care Cent er in Appleton.She is survived by two daughters, Joan (Martin) Conrad and Lorrie (Tom) Wi ldenberg, both of Kimberly; four grandchildren, Kim (Michael) Rusch of App leton, Cindy (Mark) Antonie of Madison, Mary (Steve) Hooyman of Darboy, a nd Sandy (Dale) Oudenhoven of Little Chute; five great-grandchildren, An dy and Sarah Rusch, Zak Antonie, and Kelly and Benjamin Hooyman; four sist ers-in-law, Cora Shearier of Wisconsin Rapids, Ann (Bruce) Fisher of Los A ngeles, Marge (Jim) Riedel of Rockford, Illinois, and Dorothy Nimtz of Vir ginia, Minnesota.     God called home one of His most beautiful angels, Eunice C. Hammen, on Friday, June 15, 2012. Euny truly was a little slice of heaven here on earth, and she left peacefully after 91 memorable years with all of us. She was born on February 19, 1921 in Little Chute to the late Christian and Elizabeth (Wulgaert) Hartjes. Euny married Ernest M. Hammen on January 18, 1941 at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church where she was a lifelong member. Ernie preceded Euny in death June 19, 1990, and he is there to wrap his loving arms around her once again. Euny was many things to many people, but was first and foremost a special child of God who showed a motherly love to everyone.
    Eunice is survived by her children: Gerald (Kathy), Darboy; Thomas (Claudette), Appleton; Kathy (Bill ) Conrad, Little Chute; Douglas (Linda), Oshkosh; Ann (Jim) Vander Sanden, Little Chute; Ellen (Mike) Hooyman, Little Chute; Mary (Dan) Romenesko, Little Chute; and Ron (Lynn), Green Bay; 29 grandchildren: Vicki (Dan) Helein, Cyndi (Mario) Escudero, David Conrad, Kelly (Mike) Janssen, Shelly (Christopher) Puetz, Carrie (Jeremy) Phillips, Jill (Dan) Jansen, Ryan (Jamie), Jimmy (Sarah) and Scott Vander Sanden, Amy (Ryan) Vosters, Katie (fiance Jordan Johnson), Kimberly and Kelsey Hooyman, Megan, Emily and Michael Romenesko, Terry, Todd (Sharon), Brian (Shelly), Steve, Mike (Kim), Chris (Karla), Eric (Tamara), Judd (Tanya), Jason (Keri), Sarah, Luke and Will Hammen; 42 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; and brothers and sisters-in-law: Bill (Ike), Jim (Alice) and Bob (Jan) Hammen, Doris Vosters, Joan (Ken) Driessen and Florence Poppe.     Francis (Bud) Hanegraaf, age 86 of Bullhead City Arizona, died Friday April 27, 2012 in Henderson Nevada. Bud is survived by his wife of 62 years, Betty Hanegraaf, son David Hanegraaf, daughters Sandie Fraits, Jodie Hazenberg, and Carrie Blake, sisters Dean Shultz, Germaine Nachel, Joan Frassetto, MaryBeth VandeLoo as well as 13 grand children and 8 great grand children. Bud was preceded in death by sisters Pauline Giordana and Rita Foster.
    Bud was born in Kimberly Wisconsin to Martin and Katherine Hanegraaf. He resided the last six years in Bullhead City Arizona. A veteran of WWII, Bud served from 1941-1945 in the European theater and was a recipient of several military honors including the purple heart.
    Bud retired from Point Mugu Pacific Missile Test Center where he worked on range communications for many launches including the STS-1 the first space shuttle Columbia.
    A celebration of life will be held at 1:00pm Thursday May 3rd at Fiesta Resort, Bullhead City, AZ. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Bud's memory.

    Kimberly - Joan R. Frassetto passed away on March 26, 2018 to meet her Lord and Savior. She was born at home in Kimberly on October 26, 1926, the middle child of Martin and Catherine (Hartjes) Hanegraaf, and was baptized the same day by Rev. F.X. VanNistleroy, Pastor of Holy Name of Jesus Parish.
    She attended and graduated from Holy Name of Jesus Grade School in 1940, Kimberly High School in 1944, and Appleton Vocational School in 1946. She held secretarial positions at Geenen Dry Goods Department Store, The Institute of Paper Chemistry and the Appleton Apostolate. She was active in YCW at St. Joseph Parish in Appleton and was affiliated with scouting for many years, having been leader and den mother of many girl and boy scout troops. She was raised in a musical family, sang in numerous church choirs and was a member and officer of Chaminade Women's Chorus in Appleton.
    On July 24, 1948, Joan married her high school sweetheart, Francis "Fras" Frassetto at Holy Name Church, in Kimberly where they spent their entire married lives, raising their family. When her children were enrolled there, she taught Religious Education, served on the School Board and was a Eucharistic Minister. She was involved with the elderly and shut-ins of the Parish and was a leader of the early morning Communion Service for years.
    Joan enjoyed sewing and knitting, crossword puzzles and Scrabble. She and Fras loved to travel, taking the family from coast to coast in their quest to touch all fifty states. They were avid golfers as members of Mid-Vallee Golf Club in DePere. They loved taking the grands to the Ice Capades and other theatrical productions in and around the valley. Her last few years were spent making, and of course, sharing memories with her 'great eight, her grands and great grands. She was extremely interested in genealogy and spent time in the Netherlands and Italy to further that hobby. Joan was also a voracious reader.
    She is survived by her children: Vickie (Gary) Gossens, Mary Fran (Tom) Erickson, Tina (Ed) Keller, Gino (Nancy) Frassettto, Joe (Patricia) Frassetto, Lisa (Mike) Stumpf, Frank (Lori) Frassetto, and Paula (Jim) Vander Loop.
    There are twenty-five grands who will miss her love and affection: Sara (Tom) Vanden Heuvel, Eric (Kas) Gossens, Gina Gossens, Kari (Jeff) Surman, Ron (Kathy), Drew (Katie), Matt (Chad Calmes) Erickson, Jason (Jenny) Keller, Nikki (Matt) Chevalier, Adam (Andrea) Keller, Jana (Jeff) Thompson, Heather (Darek) Stuber, Nick (Ashlie) Frassetto, Jenny Larson, Katie Stumpf, Angie (Nick) Hoople, Ben (Dayton) Stumpf, Dustin (Michelle) Stumpf, Mary (Chris) Kuna, John, Robert, Anna, Frank, Jr. Frassetto, Kurt and Jared Vander Loop and three step-grandchildren.
    Joan also has twenty-six great-grandchildren: Alyssa and Drew Vanden Heuvel, Wesley and Easton Surman, Jessica, Bradley, Everett and Isla Erickson, Charlie, Mallory and Trey Keller, Amber, Taylor and Payton Chevalier, Andrew, Logan and Josephine Thompson, Alysha Stuber, Kyler and Kaleb Frassetto, Sativa and Gage Larson, Vincent Hoople, Ali Jo, Brandon and Natalie Stumpf, and six step-great grandchildren.
    Surviving Joan are her three sisters: Deane Schultz, Germaine Nachel, and Mary Beth Van De Loo. Also surviving are 35 nieces and nephews including her God-children: Bobbi Jo Haen, Beth Ann Van De Loo, Jodie Hazenburg, Christopher Schultz, and Dan Foster.
    Joan was preceded in death by Fras (2001) her partner of 54 years, an infant son, John, two grand-daughters: A.J, and Alena Frassetto, a great-grandson, Ryan Stumpf, her parents Martin and Catherine, her only brother Francis "Bud" (Betty) Hanegraaf; sisters: Pauline (Bob) Giordana and Rita (Ken) Foster; and brothers-in-law: Bob Schultz, Bob Nachel, Ken Sorenson, Jack Marquardt and Jim Van De Loo. Also preceding her were Fras' parents: Gino and Theresa Frassetto; his sisters: Barbara (Ray) Van Dalen and Marjorie; and his brothers, Robert, Ernest and Eugene.
    There will be a Mass of celebration on Monday, April 2nd at 11:00 AM at Holy Spirit Parish - Holy Name of Jesus Church, 600 E. Kimberly Avenue in Kimberly with Fr. Dave Pleier officiating and Fr. Bob Kollath concelebrating. Friends may call at church from 9:00 AM till time of service.

    Foster, Rita Mae, On November 22, 2008, at the age of 77, the Lord saw that Rita could no longer endure her 12 year battle with Alzheimer's disease and called her home.
    Rita was born December 5, 1930, in the home of her parents, Martin and Kate Hanegraaf, in Kimberly, WI. Kimberly remained her home along with six siblings until she graduated from Kimberly High School in 1949.
    Rita married Ken Sorensen October 7, 1950, and left Kimberly to be with him at the Air Force base in Chicopee Falls, MA, where sons Claude and Mike were born. When Ken's tour was over they moved back to Neenah, WI where sons Jeff and Kevin were born. While in the process of building their first home, on August 4, 1955, Ken was taken from his wife, their four young sons and an unfinished home during the polio epidemic. Family and many friends pitched in to help finish the house. Rita raised her four boys alone until she met Ken Foster and they were married on May 4, 1957. Ken lovingly adopted the four boys. Together they added three more children, Jill, Steve, and Dan.
    Over the years Rita enjoyed many hobbies. One of her greatest talents was sewing. With six boys and one girl she made all her daughter's dresses and also sewed many of the boy's shirts. She enjoyed knitting on her knitting machine and made beautiful scarves, sweaters and afghans. Each year she made hand crafted items and gave them as gifts. At Christmas we could always count on Rita to make peanut clusters, sea foam candy, fudge and fruitcake.
    Ken and Rita enjoyed traveling in their motor home, snowmobiling and were avid boaters. They instilled the love of boating, swimming and water skiing in all of their children. Rita also worked part time at Schneider National Trucking in Neenah for eight years until Ken's retirement from the Neenah Police Department in 1987. They then made their home on Lake Winneconne. During retirement Rita and Ken enjoyed their winter home in Florida. Rita also kept active tap dancing with Reverend Ruge's group and would entertain others with their lively routines. One of her favorite pastimes was taking the bus and socializing to play Bingo.
    Rita leaves behind her husband Ken, their children: Claude (Chris) Foster, Neenah; Mike (Katie) Foster, New London; Jeff Foster, Omro; Kevin (Peggy) Foster, Talkeetna, AK; Jill Appel, Menasha; Steve (Karen) Foster, Neenah; Dan (Amy) Foster, Neenah. She is further survived by 14 Grandchildren and five Great-Grandchildren. Along with her sisters: Bernadine (Deane) Schultz, Germaine (Gim) Nachel, Joan Frassetto, Mary Beth Van De Loo; brother, Francis (Bud) Hanegraaf (Betty) and sister in law, Jackie Spilski, along with many nieces and nephews.
    Preceding her and waiting to greet her in heaven are her first husband Ken Sorensen, her parents, Martin & Kate Hanegraaf, her sister and brother in law Pauline (Pope) & Bob Giordana, brother in laws Bob Schultz, Bob Nachel, Francis (Fras) Frassetto, Jim Van De Loo, and Joe Spilski, her mother in law Marie Sorensen, and her father & mother in law Harry & Isabell Foster.
    The family would like to extend our deep and heartfelt thanks for the support and loving care extended to Rita by hospice: especially Mary, Barbara, Rachel & Ellen, as well as Rhonda and the caregivers at Care Partners Assisted Living in Little Chute where Rita spent her final days.
    A Celebratory Mass of Rita's life will be at St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Neenah, with Father Richard Allen officiating. Friends may call at the church on Friday, November 28th at 9 a.m. until the hour of service at 11 a.m. Burial will be at St. Margaret's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for Affinity Visiting Nurses Hospice Program.

    Anna Mendez, age 89 of Appleton, passed away on Friday night, September 12, 2014 at a local hospital. Anna was born in Little Chute on February 23, 1923, daughter of the late William and Helena (Hartjes) Van Boxtel. On September 7, 1979 she married Jack Mendez; he preceded her in death in 20o3. Anna will be remembered for her love of games, crossword puzzles, and the "occasional" trip to the casino.
    She leaves behind her loving family: a daughter: Helen "Lynn" (Thomas) Cattanach of Markesan; two granddaughters: Kim (David) Stephens of Brookfield and Karie (John) Davenport of Madison; four grandchildren: Alexander and Zayda Stephens and Sierra and Jackson Davenport; a sister: Alice Ludwig and her friend Roger of Appleton; and a sister-in-law: Rita Van Boxtel of Appleton.
    A service to honor Anna's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at the Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior Street in Appleton. Entombment will follow at Highland Memorial Park. Family and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.     Ernest H. Van Boxtel, age 87, passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2010. Ernest was born on July 17, 1923, in Little Chute, son of the late William and Helena (Hartjes) Van Boxtel. Ernest worked at Miller Electric for many years before his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, golfing and bowling.
    Ernest is survived by his wife of 60 years, Rita (Diedrich) Van Boxtel, a son, David (Susan) Van Boxtel, Appleton; a daughter, Sue (Brian) Young, Hortonville; two sisters, Alice Ludwig, and Anna Mendez both of Appleton; six grandchildren, Brian, Scott, Connie, Jenny, Katie, and David II; and three great-grandchildren, Clara, Lucie, and Jude.
    He is preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters, and three brothers-in law.

    Lorraine Jagodzinski, 89, formerly of Rudolph, the mother of two Portage County residents, died Thursday, June 10, 2010, at Pine Ridge Assisted Living in Wisconsin Rapids.
    Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Philip Catholic Church in Rudolph, with the Revs. Timothy Welles and Chester Osowski officiating. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Rudolph.
    Visitation will be at the church from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday and again from 9 a.m. Saturday until the services.
    A memorial will be established in her name at a later date.
    Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids assisted the family with arrangements.
    Mrs. Jagodzinski was born April 26, 1921, in Little Chute, a daughter of the late Leo and Minnie (Joosten) Van Asten. Shortly after birth the family moved to Rudolph. She attended St. Philip School until the age of 13 when she started working as a switchboard operator at the Rudolph Telephone Company where her father was manager.
    She was married to Harold Jagodzinski on Aug. 21, 1940, in Rudolph. He died on Sept. 17, 2000.
    She was the organist and choir director at St. Philip Catholic Church in Rudolph for 73 years. As a young girl she played clarinet in the summer in a traveling band called the Badger State Booster Band, traveling to the east and west coasts, throughout the southern U.S. and Mexico and two summers to the World Fair in Chicago.
    She gave piano lessons from the early 1960s to 2007. She accompanied many students for their solo and ensemble contests. She was involved in various musical groups such as the Silver Belles and Beaus and the Rudolph Hee Haws.
    She was a member of the Rudolph Senior Citizens, the Catholic Daughters of America, the Wood County Homemakers, the Wisconsin Rapids Community Theater, the Alzheimer's Support Group, the Monday Afternoon Card Club and the St. Philip's PCCW.
    Survivors include four daughters, Donna (Robert) Panko, Wisconsin Rapids, Joy (Jim) Kempen, Plover, Janie (Paul) Hertel, Sheboygan, and Sandra (Pat) Arnold, Junction City; one son, David (Connie), Port Edwards; two brothers, Donn (Ginger) Van Asten, Wisconsin Rapids, and Alois (Ellie) Van Asten, Wisconsin Rapids; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
    She was also preceded in death by one son, James Jagodzinski; one sister, Peg Berard; and one grandson.

    Gregory C. Van Asten, 86, Krakow, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 27, 2013, at Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Seymour. The son of Simon and Marie (Bushmaker) Van Asten was born on November 27, 1927. He was a 1946 graduate of Rudolph High School. On May 29, 1948, Greg was united in marriage with his high school sweetheart, Janet Kempen. At that time they both worked at Nekoosa Paper Company. In 1949 he went into business with his father; as electrical, plumbing and heating contractors they started Rudolph Electric in Rudolph. In 1956, the couple relocated to Krakow where they purchased a hardware store. Janet ran the hardware store, Van Asten's Krakow Hardware, and Greg contracted plumbing, heating, and electrical services. In the 1970's, he was a partner in the modular home manufacturing business, Wolf River Homes, in Shawano. Greg also worked for Brotski Plumbing in Green Bay. He returned to running his own contracting business, Van Asten's Contracting, in Krakow, in the early 1980's. Three of his sons joined Greg in the business. The business moved to Pulaski in 1988, where it is operated today by two of his sons.
    He had been a member of St. Casimir Parish in Krakow since 1956 where he was a choir member for many years. Greg was a Charter Member of the Pulaski Lions Club, where he was an honored recipient of both the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award and Birch-Sturm Fellowship Award.
    He was an avid outdoorsman. Greg loved spending time at their cottage on Legend Lake, which Greg and Janet along with their children built together. He looked forward to his yearly fishing trips to Bent's Camp and to the Ranch, as well as yearly hunting trips with his sons and grandsons. He shared the enjoyment of berry gardening with his daughter.
    Greg was a loving person, mentor and friend who welcomed many into his heart. Greg and Janet opened their home to three foster siblings after their oldest three children were grown. Greg had a kind heart and generous nature. His honesty, integrity, values, ingenuity, great stories and optimistic attitude were felt by all who knew him.
    Survivors include the love of his life, Janet Van Asten; four sons and one daughter: Timm (Jane) Van Asten, Pulaski; Tony (Faye) Van Asten, Suamico; Tina (Al) Wagner, Suamico; Brian (Diane) Van Asten, Pulaski; and Greg (Julie) Van Asten, Krakow; grandchildren: Nicholas (Katie), Forrest (Carolyn), and Elizabeth Van Asten; Kory (Jeanie) Van Asten; Kimberly and Chelsea Van Asten; Heather (Dustin) Kaap, Jon (Sally) Wagner, Matthew (Rebecca) Wagner, Joel Wagner, and Simon Wagner; and Megan and Benjamin Van Asten; great grandchildren: Sawyer, Morgan, Matilda, George, and Jason Van Asten; Samuel and Avery Kaap; and Kiera and Emerson Wagner.
    Gregory was preceded in death by one son, Patrick, in 2011, and one grandson, Kyle Van Asten, in 2012.
    The siblings of Greg P. would like to acknowledge and thank him, his wife Julie and children Megan (she shared her bedroom) and Benjamin (he gave up his bedroom) for the dedicated care that they gave their dad while he lived with them for seven months. As their father's medical POA, Greg P. always made sure to include his siblings in their dad's care choices and they are grateful for his dedication to their dad's medical decisions.
    The family would like to thank all the personal caregivers who cared for Greg in his home. They would also like to thank Dr. Bruce Fenster for his dedication to their dad's care through the years, as well as the entire staff of Good Shepherd Nursing Home for their compassionate care.
    Friends may call at Marnocha Funeral Home from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, with a closing Prayer Service at 7:30 p.m. The visitation continues at 9:30 a.m. Friday at St. Casimir Church, W146 Park St., Krakow.     Ivol Vanden Heuvel, 91, of Little Chute, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 18, 2016, surrounded by his family in his home. He was born April 3, 1925, in Little Chute, son of the late Martin and Gertrude (Hartjes) Vanden Heuvel. He was the eldest of nine children. Ivol married Therese Simon on September 3, 1949 at St. Mary's Church in Kaukauna. He worked at Kimberly Clark Mill in Kimberly. He also worked as a custodian at Holy Angels, Darboy and Trinity Lutheran Church, Kaukauna. He retired in 1987 from Thrivent.
    Following his retirement Ivol volunteered at St. John's Catholic Church, St. Vincent De Paul and St. Joe's food pantry. He loved his hobbies of woodworking and painting. He was very talented with his hands and could paint or repair anything. He enjoyed spending time in his workshop and yard.
    Ivol was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Little Chute. He also was a 4th degree honor guard with the Knights of Columbus.
    Ivol is survived by his wife, Therese of 66 years, their children, Chris (Gary) Driessen, San Antonio, TX, Mary (Dennis) Arnoldussen, Freedom, Joe, Sherwood, Karen (Jerry) Rohloff, Appleton, Dennis (Lisa), Watertown, Tim, Kaukauna, Lynn (Joel) Biese-Carroll, Kenosha; 14 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren; twin sister, Eileen Northway; sister, Diane (Clete) Nelessen; brothers: Bob (Anna May), Jim (Kay), Austin (Molly), Vincent (Betty) and Owen (Jean) Vanden Heuvel.
    Ivol is also survived by many Simon and Vanden Heuvel nieces and nephews.
    Ivol was preceeded in death by his parents and sister, Rita Worden and by all of Therese's (Simon) brothers and sisters.
    Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, April 25, 2016, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Chuch, 323 S. Pine Street, Little Chute, with Fr. Ron Belitz officiating and Deacon Rick Simon assisting. Friends may call at the church on Monday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the Mass. A memorial has been established in Ivol's name.     Rita L. Worden, (nee Vandenheuvel) Born to Eternal Life October 11, 2013 at the age of 87. Beloved wife of the late Harold (Dick) Worden. Dear mother of Nanette (Frank) Showers and Kurt (Terri) Worden; adored grandmother of 7 grandchildren, Ellen, Jeff, Courtney, Natalie, Nellie, Robin and Amber; great grandmother of Cayden and Asher. Survived by her 8 loving siblings Eileen Northway, Ivol (Theresa), Bob (Anna Mae), Jim (Kay), Austin (Molly), Vince (Betty), Owen (Jean) and Dianne(Clete) Nelessen. Sister-in-law of Hazel Ognie, Sally Paulson and Helen Seeger. Further survived by many nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends. Her love, kindness and sense of fun will be miss by all who knew her. Visitation will be Wednesday October 16th at Mary, Queen of Apostles Church (N35 W23360 Capitol Dr. Pewaukee) from 2 PM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 4 PM.

    Joan M. Conrad, 80, passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at Parkside Care Center. Joan was born on September 30, 1931 in Little Chute to John and Lucina (Hartjes) Johnson. She was united in marriage to Martin Conrad on June 17, 1953 at Holy name, and together they spent 58 wonderful years together. Joan was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother and always enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a very generous and caring person and always charitable to those in need. Joan taught religion at Holy Name. She was a member of the Cross and Crown prayer group, Holy Spirit Parish, and the American Legion Auxiliary. Joan is survived by her husband, Martin, of Kimberly, two daughters; Cindy (Mark) Conrad-Antonie of Madison, Sandy (Dale) Oudenhoven of Little Chute, one grandson, Zack Antoine of Madison, one sister, Lorrie (Tom) Wildenberg, her and sisters-in-law, Geraldine Fahrenkrug, Alice Subert, Wilma Weyenberg, Theresa (Roy) Vanden Heuvel, a brother-in-law, Dale Seefeldt, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Joan was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters-in-law; Harriet (Marty) Vande Hey, Gertrude (Dick) Grishaber, and Josephine Seefeldt two brothers-in-law Chris (Janie) Coenraad and George Subert.The funeral liturgy for Joan will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at 12:00 PM at HOLY SPIRIT/HOLY NAME CHURCH, 600 E.     Obituary:
    Janice M. Spaulding, Appleton, (formerly of Little Chute) age 69, died Saturday, January 16, 2016. She was born in Little Chute on December 17, 1946 to the late Joseph and Jeanette (De Bruin) Wildenberg. Jan worked as a pediatric nurse for Affinity Health System. She enjoyed knitting, was an avid Packer fan and was involved with the Girl Scouts. Janice was the vice president of the Ridgeview Highlands Community Social Club. She loved her family and her cat, Cinders, and treasured the time she spent with them.
    Jan is survived by her children: Pat (Lisa), Paul (Cathy), Joe (Deana) and Jean (James) Bremer, all of Appleton; grandchildren: Pierce, Jon-Luke, James-Lee and Jordan; siblings: Catherine Van Gompel, Henry (Theresa) Wildenberg and Pat (Mary) Wildenberg; and sister-in-law: Betty Moore. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    In addition to her parents, Jan was preceded in death by her infant siblings: Janet (her twin sister) and twins Kevin and Carol; brother-in-law, Jim Van Gompel; and nephew, Carl Van Gompel.
    Visitation will be held Thursday January 21, 2016 at O'CONNELL FUNERAL HOME (1776 E. Main St. Little Chute) from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Visitation will continue Friday, January 22, 2016 at ST. PIUS PARISH (500 W. Marquette St. Appleton) from 10:30 a.m. until time of Mass at 11:30 a.m. The Rev. Thomas Farrell will officiate and Rev. Donald Zuleger will concelebrate.
