John Campo, one of the pioneers of Dallas (N.C.), died Wednesday eveni ng at 6 o'clock in his 80th year, at his home here on Dallas-Stanley Road.Mr. Campo was born in Holland and came to America when six years old. H is father and mother, Martin and Rosanne Herman, settled in Appleton, Wisc onsin, where he grew to manhood. After the death of his father, his moth er was again married when he adopted the name of his step-father and by th is name he has always been known.He served the entire four years of the war without a wound, as a memb er of the Wisconsin Company C, U.S. Calvary. In 1871, he came to Gaston co unty and took up his abode in Dallas as a stone mason and where he liv ed to the time of his death Wednesday.Mr. Campo was an unusually strong and vigorous man and not afraid of wo rk of any kind; and could do more work in his advanced age than many of t he younger set of today. He helped in the building of more structures in D allas than any other two men together. The stone steps of the old courthou se, now the Dallas Club house, over which men of every walk of life have t rod, was cut and placed by Mr. Campo. Brick for the Presbyterian church, t he old college building, the first brick dwelling and possibly the olde st building in the town, as well as numbers of store houses were of his m aking.The foundation of the old Long Creek Baptist church was dug by him and t he shingles with which it was covered made by him. Despite his age, he w as one of the most active builders in the construction of the late new chu rch. Of this church Mr. Campo was a member for 40 years and here the la st rites were said Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Sherri ll, of Stanley, and the remains laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery.The deceased is survived by his wife and three children, Mr. J.V. Camp o, of Dallas, Mr. Craig Campo, of Stanley, and Mrs. Etta Kendrick of Ro ck Hill.Mr. Campo was confined to his bed only about three weeks, and when the e nd came, he remarked to a bedside friend, "I am going to die but I am n ot afraid to die."Mr. Campo will be greatly missed from the streets of Dallas, where his ma ny friends were accustomed to greet him and hear his stories of earlier da ys and of the war, and much sympathy is extended to the bereaved family.

Hi Jay,I was thrilled to find your site, particularly your transcription of the 850 Kaukaulin Census, as I believe it led me to a missing link in my research. If you think you might be able to help me, I would like to hire you for a 2-hour search to begin with. Here are the particulars on the fami ly I am researching: My gg-grandfather was John Campo, born 1843 in Holland, emigrated to US in 1849. He was raised, I believe, in Outagamie County, and served in the Wisconsin Union army. In 1870, he joined the federal army and while on tour in Dallas, NC, was jailed for stealing a pair of boots and missed his troops' departure. He ended up marrying a local girl, Catherine Wyatt, and spending the remainder of his life in Dallas NC. He died in 1923. It is known that he traveled to Wisconsin on several occasions, where he was a patient in the Wisconsin Soldiers Home (he was an alcoholic, among other things). He would check himself in as a single man and name his brother, Timothy Kampo, as his next of kin. John's obituary says his parents' names were Martin and Rosanne. It also says the original family surname was Herman. That Herman died either at sea or upon arrival in America and his mother married a man named Campo/Kampo. The children took their stepfather's name.I am certain of 3 siblings: Frank Kampo, Timothy Thomas Kampo, and Harriet Vanderheyden, though I believe there were more.

Timothy's descendant sent me this information on him:
Timothy Thomas Kampo was born in Amsterdam, Holland on November 30, 1848. On his birth certificate his mothers name is listed as Elizabeth Hermanan. Timothy went by two names Timothy and Thomas. Timothy was used on his gravestone and the obituary notice, but Thomas is on his death and marriage certificate. Timothy married Elizabeth Pfeiffer on May 3, 1870 at St. Joseph's Church in Appleton. Elizabeth was born in Maria Kulm, Bohemia on November 7, 1849. He was the proprietor of, the Fox River House, which was located at 501 Pearl Street. The street has since been changed to Appleton Street. He died on June 2, 1908 and is buried at St. Joseph's Cemetery.

This descendant also writes this:The history of Kampo is very vague and unsubstantiated. The family came to WI in 1849 and settled in Little Chute. There was a group of immigr ants that settled in Little Chute, with a Father Van Den Broek in that year. The family may have come with this group.
Then there is the story was married to a Harriet Eheren. Harriet husband died in New York, after arriving here from Holland. She then took her family to a Dutch settlement in Sheboygan, WI and then to Appleton where she married Kampo.There are stories that the children they had were: Timothy Thomas Kampo, John Kampo, Harriet Vanderheiden, Jane Myse, and Frank Kampo, and a woman with the last name of Halamut.

me again:I don't know how much of this is true and it's difficult for me to resear ch from here (NC). I found in your Census the family of Martin Campen, wi fe Rosena Campen, with 7 children. The ages of John and Thomas are consist ent with the John and Thomas in my family.I still believe that the original surname was a variation of Herman and th at Kampo/Campo/Campen was a stepfather. I would like a little more proo f, but realize that would be difficult. What I would most like is to deter ine all of the Campo children and their fates, as well as the fate of the parents. Clearly the family has deep Catholic roots, so I would expect to find them buried in one of the Catholic cemeteries. Perhaps even S t. John's. One family theory apparently is that the parents moved to Peshtigo and died in the great fire. Another is that they died in Little Chute.I'm sure this is rambling - I'm fairly new to this research, though I'm learning quickly. The following is an excerpt taken from the Appleton Post Crescent newspaper on June 3, 1908Timothy Kampo, 501 Pearl Street, one of the pioneer residents of this ci ty passed away at 11:45 am June 2 after an illness with Brights Disease ex tending over a period of eight months. Although the illness, which ended Mr. Kampo's life of sixty years, made itself manifest about a year ago, and he had been in falling health since that time, not until about eight months ago, did the members of the family realize his serious condition .Timothy Kampo was born in Holland, and came to this country with his parents, when he was but one year old. Fourteen years of his boyhood were spent at Little Chute, where his parents first settled at which age he came to Appleton and procured a position with Dr.Byron Douglas as a chore boy. Upon leaving the employ of Dr. Douglas, Mr Kampo, then but a lad, entered the employ of G.I. Brewster, who conducted a stave factory. He worked under the employee of Mr. Brewster for nine years and remained an employee of the stave factory when it was transferred from the Brewster management to that of Mr. Spaulding, until the time it was destroyed by fire. It was at this time Mr. Kampo entered into the saloon business, and during this span of years conducted an orderly place on Pearl Street.Surviving are a wife and ten children, five sons and five daughters, Sister M. Albertona, Notre Dame Convent, Chicago; Elizabeth, Barbara, Rosa, and Agnes, all of Appleton; Joseph of Oconto, Henry of Neenah, James, Jo hn and Frank of Appleton.

J. H. Kampo. An Appleton Student. Accused of a Serious Offense
James H. Kampo. a young Appleton resident was brought up for trial in municipal court this morning: on the charge of obtaining money under false pretences. The case was adjourned until August 29, and Kampo remanded to Jail to await trial. Kampo was arrested August 11 on a warrant sworn out by Fred Hellach of Menasha. and the complaint sets forth that Kampo pretended to be taking orders for The Milwaukee Sentinel and offered to deliver the paper for three months for 25 cents cash. Hellach subscribed and paid Kampo the money, but received no paper. Investigation showed that no such man as Kampo was in the employ of The Sentinel company. Kampo was arrested on the above charge and brought before Justice McCabe August 12. He took the stand in his own behalf and testified as follows:….

Obituary:
Alice Running, formerly of Appleton, went to be with Jesus and the rest of her loved ones on Tuesday morning, December 11, 2007. She was 97. Alice was born in Appleton on May 8, 1910, daughter of the late James and Caroline (Weinfurter) Vanderheiden. She was a graduate of the Appleton High School, and after a bit of business schooling, began work at the Kimberly-Clark Corp. On June 26, 1933, she married Mark Running, and with the birth of her first child, she left the workforce to raise a family.
Her much loved family provided her with the greatest joys in her life. They include six loving children: James (Shirley) Running of Rhinelander; Barbara (James) Kranzusch of Appleton; John (Jude) Running of Appleton; Patricia (Robert) Rueckl of Appleton; Thomas (Sue) Running of Greenville; and Gerald (Bev) Running of Appleton. There are also eighteen grandchildren, thirty-one great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Mark Running, infant children Mary Alice and Joseph, by sisters Dorothy Vanderheiden and Bessie (Sister Capistran), and by brothers Carl, James, Martin, and Ray Vanderheiden and their wives.
The funeral liturgy for Alice will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 15, 2007, at SACRED HEART CATHOLIC CHURCH, 222 E. Fremont Street in Appleton with Fr. Norm Krutzik officiating. A private entombment will be held at Appleton's St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the hour of the liturgy at 1 p.m.

Seaver, Jerome J. KimberlyAge 88, passed away Thursday, February 12, 2004 at his home. Jerome was bo rn in Appleton on August 5, 1915; son of the late George and Elizabeth (Ka mpo) Seaver. He lived in Appleton until the age of nine, at which time t he family relocated to Kimberly. Jerome had been a Kimberly resident a nd a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church since that time. He marr ied Margaret VanDehy who preceded him in death in 1973, and in 1975 marri ed Mary Kempen; she survives. As a young man, Jerome worked one year for t he Conservation Corps, and for the next forty years was employed by Kimber ly Clark. During his employment there, duty called, and he faithfully resp onded and served his country as a member of the United States Army, 101 st Airborne Division, 327th Medical Attachment. He saw action in Englan d, Germany, France, and Holland. Jerome was awarded the Bronze Star and t he Purple Heart, and was present at the invasion of Normandy, the Batt le of the Bulge, and D-Day. He enjoyed playing cards with his family and c amping in Door County. His favorite times were spent with his wife Mary a nd the rest of the family. He was born March 12, 1921, to the late George and Elizabeth (Kam po) Seaver, in Appleton and grew up in Kimberly, where he graduated from h igh school. Following graduation, Gordon was employed as an electrician wi th Kimberly-Clark Corporation. He served with the U. S. Army, during Wor ld War II, in the Army Signal Corps. Following his discharge he return ed to Kimberly-Clark, where he was employed for a total of 30 years. Whi le at Kimberly-Clark he started his own business, Seaver Electric, retiri ng in 1982. Gordon was then employed by Warehouse Specialists Inc ., as an electrical contractor, for a number of years. He was a very accom plished wood carver, could fix anything, answer questions and solve any pr oblems.Gordon was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where he w as an usher, server and was involved in bible study groups, he was a 4th D egree Knights of Columbus and Past Grand Knight, a member of Golden K Kiwa nis and Catholic Knights, he volunteered at the VA Clinic and the Salvati on Army. His Christianity and the love of his family guided his life.He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and wi ll be greatly missed by his wife, Esther M. On September 25, 1948 she married Char les Moorehead Sr. at St. Therese Catholic Church in Appleton, sharing 57 y ears together. Gladys was a devoted mother and worked all her life at ho me caring for her family. Elaine Lambie, age 83, of Combined Locks, died on Sunday, August 16, 2009. Elaine was born on April 10, 1926, in Appleton, daughter of Frank and Eva (Wickens) Kampo. On June 28, 1947, she was united in marriage to Andrew Lambie in Appleton. She formerly worked for the Phone Company and Kaukauna Klub before becoming a stay at home mom and raising her seven children. Elaine was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, Christian Mothers at St. Paul's and the Women's Benefit Association.
Elaine is survived by her husband of 62 years, Andrew; two daughters: Barb Glasheen, Deb (Mike) Zomow; four sons: Tom (Donna), Bob (Kim), Dave (Roswitha), Todd (Sherry) Lambie and daughter-in-law Terri Lambie. James Charles Kampo, age 85, of Oshkosh, died and went with the Lord on June 26th, 2016.
He was born June 5, 1931, the son of Frank and Eva (Wickens) Kampo.
Jim married Carol Hoerning on June 14, 1952 at Saint Therese Catholic Church of Appleton and shared nearly 58 years together before preceding him in death on May 29, 2010. Jim and Carol enjoyed the celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary with a party with family and friends. They were blessed with three children, Gerald, Jeffery, and Jill.
On March 19, 2011, Jim married Mildred Moore. She preceded him in death on Aug 6, 2014.
Jim served 13 years in the Army Reserve. He was also a member of the Americanos Drum Corp., for 16 years.
He worked as a linotype operator at Banta, The Oshkosh Northwestern, at Zaug's Vending, and Utica Golf Course.
He loved all sports, as a spectator, and participant. Jim and Carol enjoyed many trips with friends over the years.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Alex and Roland; sisters, Elaine Lambie, Gladys Moorehead; sister-in-law, Dorothy Kampo; brother-in-laws, Andy Lambie and Chuck Moorehead.
Jim is survived by his children, Jerry Kampo and Jeff Kampo, both of Oshkosh, Jill (Pat) O'Neill, Oshkosh; grandsons, Taylor (Elizabeth) O'Neill, Florida, and Keaton O'Neill, Oshkosh; great-granddaughters, Alice and Maura, Florida. Jim is further survived by brother-in laws, Lee Blank and Robert "Butch" Hoerning; sister-in laws, Nancy Blank, Charlotte Hoerning, Bev Hoerning, and Colette Kampo.
The last year, Jim resided at Lakeshore Manor, Oshkosh, and was especially fond of praying the rosary on Wednesdays.
Funeral Services with the Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2016, at St. Jude the Apostle Church (Former St. Vincent site) located at 1225 Oregon Street in Oshkosh at 1:00 p.m., with Rev. Mathew Simonar officiating. Jim's family will welcome family and friends at the church from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
A private family internment will follow at Highland Park Cemetery of Appleton.

Georgina Margaret Banks, age 86, of Berlin, died peacefully Monday evening, March 2, 2009, in the loving atmosphere of Juliette Manor Nursing Home of Berlin. Georgie was born on August 8, 1922, in Appleton, the first born of Arthur and Rose (nee: Kampo) Cronin. The family moved to Milwaukee, where she was educated at Saint John Cathedral, and graduated from Bay View High School. She enlisted in 1943 and became a United States Marine, and was stationed in Arlington, VA. She supported her childhood sweetheart, Michael E. Banks, also a Marine during his extensive duty in the Pacific theater serving with the Marine Corps Raiders, throughout World War II. After their return to Milwaukee, they were married on May 25, 1946, at the Cathedral of Saint John. They were blessed with three children.
She was an active member of the Woman Marines Association, WI-1, volunteer with Saint Francis Hospital Pink Ladies and together with Mike, was active in many of the ministries of the Cathedral. Georgia was employed at Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company at the home office of Milwaukee, becoming part of its family, until her retirement. In 2001, they moved to Berlin, and became members of All Saints Catholic Church of Berlin.
Survivors include her faithful husband of 62 years, Mike, of Berlin; children; Cynthia "Cindy" (John) Skipchak, of Berlin, with their children Jason Skipchak, of Saint Louis, MO, Kristin (Mike) Hasslinger, of Milwaukee, Robin (friend-Ryan Quinn), of Berlin; Timothy "Tim" Banks (special friend Nicole Bissell) of Franklin, son Max, and his mother Nanette Banks, of Franklin; Michele (Mike) Knapp, of Sussex, their sons, Alex, Elliot, and Evan, of Sussex; sister, Helen (Florian) Wind, of Milwaukee; brother, James (Esther) Cronin, of Las Cruces, NM; nieces, nephews, other relatives and scores of friends.
Georgina was preceded in death by her parents, and nephew Ronald Wind.
Funeral services with A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 6, 2009, at All Saints Catholic Church of Berlin at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Jerome Maksvytis officiating. Burial will follow at Saint Stanislaus Cemetery of Berlin, with full military honors.

Joyce Anne LaBerge, 90, of Lapeer, MI, died Wednesday, June 19, 2013. She was born February 5, 1923, in Appleton, WI, to parents William and Harriet (VanRoy) Timmers. Joyce married Robert W. LaBerge on July 3, 1946 in Appleton.
Mrs. LaBerge was a woman of faith; she enjoyed Bible studies, prayer meetings as well as cross-stitching, reading, square dancing and camping. Joyce volunteered for Meals on Wheels and FISH.
She is survived by her children, Cathleen (Dan) Preston of Mt. Jayne L. (Van Rooy) Voissem, age 91, of Appleton passed away gracefully, surrounded by her family, on February 1, 2017. In love story fashion, Jayne passed just 15 days after Marvin, her devoted husband of 66 years. Jayne was born on July 21, 1925 to the late J. Martin and Hedwig Van Rooy of Appleton. She graduated from Appleton High School and went on to work at the family's business, Van Rooy Printing, where she met her future husband.
Jayne's Catholic faith was important to her. She was a longtime member of St. Mary Parish, Appleton, as well as a charter member of St. Bernard Parish, Appleton. She, together with Marve, was very involved in parish activities.
She gladly shared her time, talents and love. Many organizations, including Christ Child Society, St. Bernard's Crafty Ladies, Xavier Food Fair and St. Mark's Parish (Boynton Beach, FL) benefitted from her generosity and creativity.
Jayne was a sweet, loving and caring sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She had a passion for life, treasured her family and enjoyed nature, especially flower gardens.

Margaret "Peg" A. Krejcha-Lyscio, age 95, passed away at Appleton Retirement Community on Friday, December 2, 2011. She was born in Appleton on September 14, 1916 the daughter of the late Albert and Margaret Voss. One of the greatest days in Peg's life was meeting her husband, Louis Krejcha. Together they had seven children. He preceded her in death in 1958. She was fortunate to have found happiness with her second husband, Gay Lyscio. He preceded her in death after three years of marriage. Peg worked for Sears in downtown Appleton for many years. She was a wonderful homemaker and a very talented seamstress, and spent many hours knitting, crocheting, and needlework. Peg was a wonderful cook and provided many family favorites throughout the years. She will be remembered for her quick wit, sociable nature, independent spirit, and love of the Packers.
Peg is survived by her children: Larry (Sylvia) Krejcha of Mountain, Jerry (Judy Drumm) Krejcha of Appleton, Jean (Tom) Kelly of Oshkosh, Janie (Fred) Sonnenschein of Appleton and Kim (Tom) Cody of Appleton; grandchildren: Pam Remmy, Laurie Weyngaard, John Krejcha, Todd Krejcha, Jerome Krejcha, Maggie Kelly, Molly Sager, Paul Kelly, Nicholas Krejcha, Jennifer Lucas, Jill Balgie, Michael Balgie, Beth Raath, Ben Putz, Carly Cody and Jack Cody; and 22 great-grandchildren. Ellen was born December 24, 1921, in Amherst, to Lawrence and Mabel VanRooy. She was married Earl "Babe" LeMay - he passed away in 1967. Ellen spent most of her life in the Appleton area, moving to Weyauwega in 1979, and later to the Harrison area in 2004. She loved singing, cooking, baking, and spending time with her family. She had served as a foster parent for a number of years. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Harrison.

Gretchen R. Schoepke (VanRooy), age 82, of Appleton, joined her Heavenly Father, surrounded by her loving family, at her home on Saturday, April 23, 2016. She was born on August 12, 1933, in Appleton, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Mable (Droske) VanRooy. Gretchen was united in marriage to Donald E. Schoepke on September 19, 1953; he preceded her in death on June 2, 2006.
Spending treasured time with her family was the most important thing in her life. Gretchen loved camping with her family, playing cards with her sisters, and her ceramic group. She also spent many years volunteering helping children read at Richmond Elementary School---she loved reading. Gretchen spent many years working at Bleier's as a waitress and later worked at the Outagamie County Health Center, where she retired as a CNA.
Survivors include her daughters, Kathy Vaught, Cindy (Greg) Griesbach and Sally (Pat) Morth; her son, Jeff (Diane) Schoepke; her grandchildren, Jamie, Jessica, Adam, Amber (Kevin), Bret, Jacob, Sam, Noah and Hannah; her great grandchildren, Cole, Emma, Cassidy, Cullen and Nathaniel; her sisters, Joan Below, Middy Emmers, Judy (Ron) Fischer; her brother, Jack (Kim) VanRooy; her sisters-in-law, Geri VanRooy and Marti VanRooy; her brothers-in-law, Neil (Barb) Schoepke and Jerry (Toni) Schoepke; her sister-in-law, Carol Schoepke; and her beloved dog, Snickers. She is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Gretchen was preceded in death by her loving husband, Don; her sisters, Ellen (Babe) LeMay and Mary (Dan) Ponschock; her brothers, Larry (Pat) VanRooy, Tom VanRooy and David (Gail) VanRooy; her brothers-in-law, Arthur (Doris) Schoepke, Dale Schoepke and Hank Emmers; her sister-in-law, Delores (Dwight) Martin; and her in-laws, Arthur and Alice Schoepke.
The Funeral Liturgy for Gretchen will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 29, 2016, at ST. BERNADETTE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2331 East Lourdes Drive, Appleton, with Fr. Donald Zuleger officiating. Friends may call directly at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Iola Mae Goldbeck Walker of Appleton passed away on Jan 29, 2016. She was born Feb 12th, 1926 in Appleton where she continued to live for most of her 90 years, except for her many travels around the country and the world. Iola loved dancing, horseback riding and was a renowned watercolor artist painting many landscapes of her travels, some of which were sold around the globe as well as given to her many friends.
She graduated from UW-Madison with a degree in youth service wherein she worked for the YWCA before her marriage to Gordon Walker on May 3, 1953 which was "love at first sight". On that day she became an instant mother to three children from Gordon's previous marriage to Mae Boettcher Walker who passed away in 1951 from polio: Jill Ann Liebscher (Appleton), William (passed) and Judy Walker (Manawa, WI), Dr. Katherine "Kit" Walker (Port Ludlow, WA). Iola is birth mother to Scott Walker, (Pt. Townsend, WA.) and twins Paul Walker (Appleton) and David (Kathy) Walker, (Long Beach, CA.). She leaves eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Her parents Mae and Charlie Goldbeck; sister Ruth Priebe; and brother Carl Goldbeck preceded her in death. The family is indebted to the staff at Helen's House and to Dennis Graf, a lifelong family friend, for her care since the passing of Gordon in 2014.
Iola and Gordon were lifelong members of All Saints Episcopal Church, 100 Drew St, Appleton. Visitation with family will be at the church on Friday, Feb. 17th from 9:30AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM, with Fr. Jim Harrison officiating. In lieu of flowers Iola wished support for All Saints Episcopal Church youth programs or support of area youth programs through a memorial fund that has been established at the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region 4455 W. Lawrence St., Appleton, WI 54914.

Ruth E. Priebe, age 83 of Appleton, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, June 25, 2014. She was born on December 31, 1930 in Appleton, to the late Charles and Marie (Behle) Goldbeck. Ruth graduated from Fox Valley Technical School in 1952 and worked as a secretary for Foremost Dairies, Fox Tractor and Kimberly-Clark. Ruth retired in 1962 to marry Harvey Priebe, whom she met while working at Fox Tractor, and became a full time mom. Ruth lived a life of faith in Christ and touched many lives as she served in children's ministries, Club JC and teaching vacation Bible school, she truly loved children. She enjoyed painting, gardening and reading. Ruth gave freely of herself, in practical ways, to those around her. She shared her faith, gave of her time and opened her home on many occasions when the need arose.
She is survived by her five children; Rick Priebe, Cindy (Dennis) Murphy, Randy (Jill) Priebe, Douglas (Denise) Priebe, and Brian Priebe, seven grandchildren; Christopher, Ben, Gina, Brad, Jeff, Tina and Tyler and 10 great grandchildren; Mason, Maya, Preston, Taitt, Cashton, Coy, Myles, Charlie H., Ethan and Charlie S. Ruth is further survived by her brother, Carl (Sandy) Goldbeck and her sister, Iola (Gordon) Walker.
Ruth is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Harvey.
A memorial service for Ruth will be held at 11:00AM, on July 11, 2014 at Crossroads Four Square Church, 1209 London St, Menasha, with Pastor Mike Huff officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00AM until the time of service at the church. Inurnment will take place at Highland Memorial Park. A memorial fund has been established for ICA Ministries, Children's Homes that were started with an aim to show compassion of Jesus Christ in a practical and caring way. A ministry Ruth has supported for several years.
The family would like to thank Affinity Hospice and Senior Helpers for all their loving care of our mother, and a special thank you to Mick and Cindy & Jim and Sarah.

Thomas A. Lambie, Little Chute, age 62, lost a hard fought, five month battle with cancer on Saturday May 18, 2013. He was born in Appleton on May 31, 1950 to the late Andrew E. and Elaine (Kampo) Lambie. Tom graduated from Kimberly High School. He served in the Army from 1968 - 1971. Tom married Donna L. Londo on October 20, 1972 at St. Paul Parish in Combined Locks. He worked in the boiler house at the Appleton Papers Locks Mill for over 30 years. Tom loved watching the Brewers and Packers. He also enjoyed walking and spending time with his grandpuppies. Tom was a talented cook and loved to share his wonderful cooking with everyone, especially his famous potato salad he made for funerals at St. John's. He took great pride watching his son Jason perform with Half Empty.
Tom is survived by his wife of 40 years, Donna; son Jason (Julie DeCoster-Lambie), Green Bay; grandpuppies Zen and Zeus; siblings: Barb Glasheen, Terri (John Delie), Deb (Mike) Zornow, Bob (Kim), David (Roswitha) and Todd (Sherry); Donna's siblings: Pat Bartels, Mark, Mike (Colleen) Londo, Mary Jo (Clark) McCormick and Debi (Don) Van Handel; Godchildren: Bill Glasheen, Jennifer Bartels, Tara Nerison and Amber Lambie; nieces and nephews: Ryan, Matt, Erica, Tania, Angie, Emily, Natasha, Nick, Nathan, Michael, Sara, Keith, Allison, Chris, Brian, Sara, Brandon, Tanner, Jake, Kayla, Chas and Tyler; and close family friend: Barb Hietpas. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by Donna's parents: Henry Londo and Joan Londo; brother: Andrew Lambie; brother and sister-in-law: Dan Glasheen and Cathy (Londo) Crawley; niece: Erin Glasheen; and close family friend: Tim Hietpas. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, aunts and uncles.
