    Obituary:
Susan Hoelzel, of Menasha, age 57, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, January 26, 2011. She was born November 24, 1953 in Neenah, daughter of the late Howard and Shirley (Lopas) Jape.
Susan married Michael Hoelzel on July 6, 1985. She was employed with Wisconsin Paper Group for over 10 years. Susan was quick witted and always had a smile on her face. She loved animals and could often be seen feeding the neighborhood birds and squirrels.
She lived for her dog, Mickey, and her granddaughters. Susan lived life to fullest every day. She enjoyed the holiday's, crafts, baking, shopping, sewing, her flower garden, bowling, the Packers and Brewers, travelling and Mickey Mouse. Her crunchy potato salad will be greatly missed. Susan was an active member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church of Menasha. She was a former member of the Menasha Eagle's Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband, Michael; three children: Loren (Duchess) Jape, Ottilia (Bob) Scanlon, Lenny Hoehne; nine granddaughters: Samantha, Brittney, Allison, Kyla, Isabelle, Madalynn, Mackenzie, Lailah and Taylor; a sister, Sandra Lopas and her significant other, Rick Rohde; her dog, Mickey; mother-in-law, Betty Hoelzel; five brothers and sisters-in-law: Tom (Sharon) Hoelzel, Beverly Meyers, Wayne (Shirley) Hoelzel, Linda Kersten and Dennis (Barb) Clow; and a lifelong friend, Helen DeBruin. Susan was preceded in death by an infant brother, her grandparents; her father-in-law, Rueben Hoelzel; her aunt and uncle; and two brothers-in-law.
The memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 3, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with Fr. Larry Canavera officiating. The visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 4:00-8:00p.m., at Menasha's Westgor Funeral Home and again at the church on Thursday.
The family would like to thank the staff of UW-Madison Hospital for all their wonderful care over the years, especially Dr.'s Dempsey, Aagaard Kienitz, Pirsch; coordinator Mike Armburst; nurse's Sarah and Karen; the staff and chaplains of Theda Clark Medical Center, Barb Clow and Sue's neighbors.
Don't take your organs to heaven; heaven knows we need them here!

Susan married Hoelzel, Michael [Group Sheet]
