    Mary Ellen Vasquez, 77, Appleton "Golly"
    Passed away peacefully with her daughter at her side, Monday, March 4, 2013 after many years of battling various diseases. She was born in Appleton on May 4, 1935 to the late John Sr. and Grace Sealy. Mary was a sports fanatic; she could be seen attending and cheering on her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren's sporting events. She lived and breathed Green and Gold and the Green Bay Packers. To say Mary was a strong woman was an understatement but best described her. She was born and raised catholic but the past few years was not able to participate at church.
    Her family was her life and she will be greatly missed by her eight children: Laura (Dave) Geiger; Lupe Vasquez; Crista Kane; Sandy (Carlton) Wiley and Amy (Josh) Chodak; 20 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
    She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, John Sealy Jr.
    A Celebration of Mary Ellen's life will be held at 11 am, Friday, March 8, 2013 at Brettschneider Trettin-Nickel Funeral Chapel with Sister Joanne Groessl presiding. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Friends and family are encouraged to dress in their green and gold attire on Friday. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am on Friday.
