Obituary:
Lyle C. Handrich, Clintonville, age 93, died on Wednesday December 6, 2006, at St. Joseph Residence in New London. Lyle was born February 12, 1913, in the Town of Little Wolf to the late George and Minnie (Schmidt) Handrich. On September 6, 1936, Lyle was united in marriage to Erma Huebner in Fremont. The couple celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary this year. Together, Lyle and Erma owned and operated Whitelily Cheese Factory near Shiocton for 19 years. In 1972 he operated Marion Cheese Factory, retiring in 1980. Lyle also drove school bus for 20 years and at the time was the oldest school bus driver in the state of Wisconsin. He was a member at St. Martin Lutheran Church of Clintonville.
Lyle is survived by his wife Erma, of Clintonville; three sons: Darrell (Jean) Handrich, Clintonville; Dennis (Cynthia) Handrich, Clintonville; Douglas (Paula) Handrich, Peoria, IL; seven grandchildren, and four great grandchildren; a half brother Mayford Geske, Mackville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Orville, sisters in law Bonnie Geske and Eleanor Geske, step brother Evan Geske, step sisters Margaret Weinaman and Myrtle Voight. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held 1 PM on Saturday December 23rd at St. Martin Lutheran Church, Clintonville with the Rev. Christian Burg and Rev. Vilas Mazemke officiating. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
