    Margaret L. Lietz, 96, of Menasha died Thursday, August 18, 2011 at her residence, with her family by her side. She was born November 15, 1914, daughter of the late Herman and Martha (Knuell) Koepsel. Margaret married Norman Lietz on June 8, 1940. They celebrated 60 years together. Norman preceded her in death on May 12, 2001.
    Margaret was a charter member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church, Menasha; she enjoyed sewing, and cooking, she was a great cook.
    She is survived by her daughter, Virginia (Dennis) Massey, Menasha, Wisconsin; three Grandchildren, Chris (Marion), Neenah, Wisconsin, Craig (Wendy), Sherwood, Wisconsin, and Carrie (Scott) Hogan, Seattle, Washington; eight Great Grandchildren, Samantha, Amanda, Tony, Brooklyn, Allison, Jack, Annalise, and Margaret "Maggie"; two step- Great Grandchildren, Michele, and Kyle; one sister, Arlene Babbitts, Appleton, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters and their spouses, and her special sister, Mabel.
    Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 22, 2011 at ST. TIMOTHY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 473 7th Street, Menasha, with Rev. David Skarsten officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM until the hour of service. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
    Margaret's family would like to thank Mary and Chad from the Hospice team from Theda Care, and all of the aids involved in her care. To Sherry, a "special" thank you for everything. You truly were sent to us from God, and were mom's Guardian Angel, and our pillar of strength. We will remember your kindness always.

    Obituary:
    Koepsel, William R. "Bill" William Koepsel, age 79, of Appleton, died on Sunday, May 6, 2007, at Colony Oaks surrounded by his family. He was born March 10, 1928, in Appleton, the son of the late Herman and Martha (Knoll) Koepsel. On February 7, 1948, in Appleton, Audrey Priebe became his wife. Bill was employed at Riverside Paper Corporation for 35 years, retiring in May of 1990.
    He was a member of Riverview Ev. Lutheran Church, Appleton. Bill enjoyed watching the Packers. He looked forward to the family's yearly week vacation in Wild Rose. He taught many young people how to water ski and continued water skiing into his 70's. Bill enjoyed his yearly fishing trip with his son David and his fishing buddies. He loved being with his family and traveling.
    Bill is survived by his wife, Audrey Koepsel, Appleton; children: Sharon (Gary) Gloudemans, Appleton; David (Mary) Koepsel, Appleton and Wendy (special friend Shaler Fiege) Olson, Appleton; seven grandchildren: Tim (special friend Sheila Rudi) Koepsel, Chad (Erin) Koepsel, Tyler Koepsel, Denise Gloudemans, Jane (Bob) Krueger, Kayleigh (Ben) Vess and Nicole Olson; three great-grandchildren: Orion and Hudson Koepsel and Chloee Krueger; three sisters: Margaret Lietz, Menasha; Mabel Last, Menasha and Arlene Babbits, Appleton; two sisters-in-law: Evelyn Koepsel, Neenah and Eleanor Koepsel, Florida. He is survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    Bill was preceded in death by his parents and many brothers and sisters.
    The memorial service for Bill will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 9, 2007, at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, TRI COUNTY CHAPEL, with Rev. Dennis Belter officiating. Inurnment will take place at Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Wednesday from 3 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name.
    Special thanks to the Peabody Manor and Colony Oaks staff.

    Appleton, Wisconsin - Arlene A. Babbitts, age 85, of Appleton, WI passed away on August 5, 2018 at Kindred Hearts Assisted Living in Kaukauna, WI. Arlene was born on February 12, 1933 in Appleton to the late Hearman and Martha (Knoll) Koepsel. After high school she went on to work for Rayovac Batteries in Appleton for many years and retired when they closed.
    Arlene enjoyed bingo, gambling at Oneida Bingo and Casino, taking trips, playing the organ, playing cards and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
    She is survived by her 5 sons, Mike (Kimberly), Jeffrey, Patrick, Scott (Becky Burmeister) and Steve (Charlene); 9 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, friends and relatives.
    Arlene was preceded in death by all of her several siblings.
    A memorial gathering will be held for Arlene at Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 North Superior St., Appleton, on Saturday, August 18, 2018 from 9-11 AM. Inurnment will be at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
    The Babbitts family would like to thank the staff at Kindred Hearts Assisted Living for all of their care for Arlene. A special thank you to her hospice nurse, Julie, for all her wonderful assistance in Arlene's last days.
