Obituary:
Arthur W. "Papa" Seefeldt, Jr. "Papa", Little Chute, age 73, died on Monday, January 25, 2010, at Appleton Medical Center. Arthur was born September 6, 1936, to the late Arthur and Evelyn (Krueger) Seefeldt Sr. Over the years, Arthur was employed by several area trucking companies and he truly enjoyed his work. Art was also employed by Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church until his retirement. He had a number of hobbies but his passion was to invent things as a way to simplify life. Art enjoyed playing polka music on the accordion and organ.
He is survived by his children: Debbie (Dan) Dunn, Robin (Phil) Hansen, Bill (Kathy), Vickie Verstegen, David (Patty), Laurie (Jim) Kaczmarek; 14 grandchildren: Misty Sherrer (special friend Chad), Shanna (Chris) Vegoe, Sky, Tanesha, Colton, Lukas, Cody, Derek (fiancee Valerie), Crystal (special friend Cory), Ryan, Catherine, Brandon, Conner, and Mason; four stepgrandchildren: James, Leah, Karlee, and Nicole; two great-grandchildren: Seth, Mackenzie, and expected grandson, Greysen; seven brothers: Ronnie (Mary), Jimmy (Diane), Marvin (Cheryl), Richard (Donna), Paul (Joan), Ralph, and Kenny (Sherri); three sisters: Luann (Larry) Reffke, Anita (Scott) Schmidt, and Margaret (Dennis) Berkers; a sister-in-law: Diane Seefeldt. He is furthers survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives; the mother of his children, Marion Hensch, and his beloved dog, Lucy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Mary, and a brother, Daryl.
Funeral services for Art are at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 30, 2010, at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 705 E. Greenfield Drive, Little Chute, with Rev. Ronald C. Szep officiating. Friends may call directly at church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place in Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in Arthur's name is being established. The Boettcher Family Funeral Home, Kaukauna is assisting the family. 920-766-2099
