Obituary:
MaryAnn Guyette, 65, Shiocton, passed away Feb. 4th in Sun City, AZ, surrounded by her family, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born July 10, 1943, in Tomahawk, WI, to the late Alex and Viola Sprotte. MaryAnn married Richard (Dick) Guyette on Feb. 25, 1961.
MaryAnn worked for a time at Tuttle Press, Elm Tree bakery, Hillshire and the Guyette vegetable stand in Black Creek. Together with her husband Dick, they owned and ran Dick's Place. She enjoyed the outdoors, deer hunting, fishing (put a rod and reel in her hand, she'd come home with a mess of fish and fry them up for you). She loved to cook, plant flowers and feed birds. Together, she and Dick traveled in their motorhome spending winters in Arizona with dear friends and summers in Shiocton, reconnecting with family and friends.
MaryAnn is survived by her husband, Dick, sons: Wayne (Paula), Rodney (Nicole) and Rick (Lynn); grandchildren: Cody, Colton, Mitchell, Mason, Jake and Caroline; sisters: Elaine Lazor, Marcella Hess, Betty (Bob) Roland; brothers: Roger (Audrey), Kenneth (Jane), Alex (Karen), Larry (Debbie) and Ralph. Further survived by many nieces, nephews, all the Guyette family and many beloved friends.
Preceding her in death is daughter Peggy, brother Marvin, and sister Shirley.
In accordance to MaryAnn's wishes, there will be no service. The family will celebrate her life later in summer.
The family would like to extend a thank you to Dr. Guenther, the staff at Martha Siekman Cancer Center, the 3rd floor nurses at AMC, and hospice for their wonderful care.
A special thank you to Georgie, Virginia, Evonne, Donna Mae and everyone else who helped through their care, thoughts, love and the many prayers.
We will keep her in ours hearts forever.
