Antonetta Spranger, age 78, Elderon, died July 29, 1960 at her home.
She was born January 14, 1882 in Brown County, the daughter of the late John VanDeHey.
On November 17, 1903 she was united in marriage to Mathias Spranger. He survives.
In addition to her husband, survivors include eight children, Lillian (Albert) VanWetering, Chicago, Verna (John) Lukasko, Eland, Adala (Herman) Grissman, Medford, Raymond Spranger, Lester (Verna) Spranger, both of Eland, Orville (Theresa) Spranger, Wittenberg, Lyman (Grace) Spranger, Elderon and Herbert (Martha) Spranger, Hatley; 25 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Arnold Owens and Peter VanDeHey.
Funeral services were held August 1, 1960 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Wittenberg. The Rev. Jerome Watry officiated. Interment was in the parish cemetery.

He was born December 2, 1917 in the town of Elderon, the son of the late Mathias and Antoinette (VanDeHey) Spranger. He was united in marriage to Grace Levandoski on October 2, 1943 in Bevent. She preceded him in death on December 18, 1990.
Survivors include 2 sons, Donald (Mary Ann) Spranger, Colby and Bruce (Laurie) Spranger, Hatley; 1 daughter, Mary (Larry) Krueger, Hatley; 7 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter; 3 sisters-in-law, Martha Spranger, Hatley, Verna Spranger and Theresa Spranger, both of Wittenberg; and 1 brother-in-law, Herbert (Emily) Levandoski, Hatley. Father Robert Clarence Vande Hey, O. Praem., 84, a member of the Norbertine Community of St. Norbert Abbey, De Pere, Wis., and a Norbertine priest, passed into God's eternal kingdom on Wednesday, June 10, 2009.
Father Vande Hey was born on July 19, 1924, in Hollandtown, Wis., to Peter and O'Delia (Meulemans) Vande Hey. His home parish was St. Francis Seraph Parish, Hollandtown, Wis.
In 1942, Father graduated from the Salvatorian Seminary, St. Nazianz, Wis. He received a B.A. degree in philosophy from St. Norbert College, De Pere, Wis., in 1946 and a Ph.D. in biology from the University of Notre Dame, Notre Dame, Ind., in 1961.
Upon entering St. Norbert Abbey, he was vested as a novice on Aug. 28, 1943. He professed Simple Vows on Aug. 28, 1945, Solemn Vows on Aug. 28, 1948 and was ordained to the Priesthood on June 11, 1949.
For the first years after his ordination, Father Vande Hey taught at Southeast Catholic High School in Philadelphia before his assignment to the biology faculty at St. Norbert College in 1955. (He retired as professor emeritus in 1989). Over time, he attended graduate and post graduate classes in biology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Notre Dame, and Mount St. Mary College, Los Angeles, the latter with a Research Fellowship awarded by the Atomic Energy Commission.
His doctoral dissertation drew international recognition, accolades, and honors. Father Vande Hey received a post-doctoral fellowship from the National Institute of Health's U.S. Public Health Service to study at the University of Mainz, Germany, where he continued mosquito research under the director of the Institute of Genetics, the world authority on mosquito genetics. Father Vande Hey's research and its results were published in various professional journals.
Other ministries included formation with students at Catholic Theological Union, Chicago; chaplaincies at St. Mary's Hospital, Duluth, Minnesota, and Benedictine monasteries of nuns in Duluth and in Idaho; and associate pastorates in Madison and Wyoming.

Earl Joseph Vande Hey, age 90 passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Friday April 7, 2017 at Rennes Health & Rehab in Appleton. He was born on September 27, 1926 in the Town of Holland to his parents, Peter & Odelia (Meulemans) Vande Hey. On September 2, 1948 he married Mary Ann Williamson at St. Therese Church in Appleton. He was a very devoted husband & father always instilling in his children the importance of God & family He also passed on the trait of working hard as he showed working full time at White Clover Dairy in Hollandtown as a field man - where he worked for 45 years- and keeping up a farm in Hilbert to provide for his wife & six children. In his retirement he was always happy to help out when they needed him as Grandpa Patrol at Holy Spirit Church in Darboy and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. When he wasn't busy helping others, he was crafting wooden keepsakes for his children & grandchildren. He enjoyed a round of golf and riding with the Maders horse and wagon playing sheepshead. Dad enjoyed an evening cocktail with his Planter's Peanuts and never turned down a cookie!

The former Rose Ann Vande Hey was born on June 5, 1929 in Hollandtown, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Peter and Odelia (Meulemans) Vande Hey. She entered the Convent in 1945 and professed her vows in 1947. Sister Eugenia earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Holy Family College, Manitowoc, Wisconsin. Sister Eugenia served as an elementary teacher at St. Therese and St. Pius X, Appleton; St. Ann, Francis Creek; St. Mary, Algoma; St. Joseph and Holy Innocents, Manitowoc; St. Mary, Rhinelander; St. Agnes, Green Bay; and performed various services at St. Mary, Kaukauna; St. Thomas More, Appleton; Holy Redeemer, Two Rivers; and St. Francis Convent, Manitowoc. She also served as an Occupational Therapist at St. Paul Home, Kaukauna; Holy Family Hospital and St. Rita Health Center, Manitowoc, Wisconsin. Since 2014 she had been a resident of St. Rita Health Center. She is a member of the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity.
Survivors include the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity; two brothers and two sisters-in-law: Eugene, Arthur (Theresa) and Mary Ann Vande Hey; and two sisters: Gladys Tennessen and Grace Zwick; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Loretta and Henry resided on North Union Street in Appleton f or many years, and also at Zion Mutual Homes.She is survived by her children: Eugene (Rita) Jansen, Menasha; Earl Janse n, Chambersburg, Pennsylvania; Yvonne (Lyle) Butts, Menasha; 18 grandchild ren, 26 great-grandchilden and a son-in-law, Paul Dohr. His membership in the Knigh ts of Columbus Council 1033 and the Kaukauna AARP kept him in touch with h is many friends, as did his volunteering at St. Paul Home. For 43 year s, he warmed our hearts and our homes while employed by Andrews Oil Compa ny and North CentralPublic Service Among his greatest pleasures were liste ning to his wife sing, enjoying family gatherings, helping others,fixing and building things, watching sport, playing cards, taking ca re of his lawn and giving out quarters tohis grandchildren and great-grandchildren. At age 98, the Lord took Evelyn peacefully home, Wednesday, March 16, 2011, with her loving family at her side. The daughter of the late Theodore and Bardeen (Vande Hei) Coenen was born July 10, 1912, in Wrightstown. Evelyn married Adrian Meulemans on October 8, 1934, at St. Paul Catholic Church, Wrightstown, and they had 56 beautiful years of marriage; he preceded her in death in 1991. Evelyn was a lifetime and faithful member of St. Paul Catholic Church and was a former member of the Christian Mothers Society. She and Adrian farmed side-by-side all their married life on the Meulemans family farm. She worked hard yet was always ready for a good time with family and friends. She loved baking and enjoyed sharing her treats with everyone. Evelyn also enjoyed bowling and playing cards, but family was her top priority.
She will be deeply missed by three daughters and sons-in-law: Nancy and Russ Titel, Wrightstown; Sandy and Lloyd Gehring, Freedom; Sherry and Ron Demske, Greenleaf; two sons and daughters-in-law: Dale and Dolly Meulemans, Pete and Linn Meulemans, all of the Town of Wrightstown; 21 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 1 great great-grandchild; two sisters-in-law: Marguerite Coenen and Rita Schampers.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Charlotte; her son, Bruce in 1972; son-in-law, Robert Schmelter in 1979; six sisters and brothers-in-law: Martha (Harold) Ehnerd, Minnie (Vernon) Despins, Estelle (Ralph) Smith, Irene (Fred) Geurts, Clara (Leo) Berken Hendricks, and Ruth (Gordon) Wierschke; three brothers: Harold (Charlotte), Fred and Earl Coenen. On the Meulemans side, she was preceded in death by nine sisters-in-law and ten brothers-in-law.

Ruth T. "Tootie" Wierschke (Mrs. Gordon) Age 82, passed away peacefully as she slept, early Monday morning, Apr il 2, 2001, at Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Seymour. She was born October 1 5, 1918, in Wrightstown, daughter of the late Theodore and Bardeen (V an De Hey) Coenen. On June 14, 1941, she married Gordon Wierschke. Ruth w as a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Kaukauna, and the Altar Societ y. She was always active in church functions. She was employed at Kimberly -Clark for two years prior to joining Gordon in Florida, where he was stat ioned in the Army in 1941. She then went on to enjoy many years as a lovi ng and caring mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She busily created ma ny beautiful crocheted afghans, doilies, and bedspreads for her childre n, grandchildren, and friends. She was always there and enjoyed helping ev eryone. She loved baking goodies and sharing them with family and friend s. Tootie always had that special smile and twinkle in her eye for those w hose lives she touched. She always enjoyed gardening and time spent at t he cottage.

Meulemans, Helen F.Helen F. Meulemans, 89, Town of Kaukauna, passed away peacefully Friday, J uly 8, 2005 at her home. She was born July 10, 1915 in the Town of Lawrenc e, daughter to the late Louis and Hattie Gerrits. She married Raymond P. M eulemans, February 9, 1933 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Wrightstown, a nd he preceded her in death in 1997. Helen liked painting, crafts, and pla ying cards.Survivors include two daughters: Elizabeth Piso, Kaukauna; Arlene (Willia m) Egan, Kaukauna; 20 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, and numero us great-great grandchildren.Helen was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Raymond, infant so n, Joseph, son and daughter-in-law: Robert (Dorothy) Meulemans, daughter a nd son-in-law: Mary Jane (Ronald, Sr.) Van Schyndel, son-in-law, Jack Hopf ensperger, four sisters and three brothers.Family and friends may call Monday, July 11, 2005 from 10 a.m. until the h our of Mass at St. Paul Catholic Church, Wrighstown. Mass of Christian Bur ial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at church, with Father John Sch uh officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
