Obituary:
Melanie Maye Wierschke, age 67, entered in to eternal life on Friday, November 25, 2016 at Theda Care Regional Medical Center of Appleton surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 20, 1949. She graduated from Kaukauna High School in 1967 followed by attending college at University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. She married Gary Wierschke on August 28,1971.
Melanie was blessed with a beautiful voice that she used to sing at weddings, funerals, and anytime in between. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing, and spending time at the cottage. Melanie was a very good cook and always provided her family with a home cooked meal at the drop of a hat. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her family and grandkids whom she loved dearly.
Melanie is survived by her husband of 45 years, Gary; her children: Treena (Mike) Seidl and Kevin Wierschke; grandchildren: Morgan, Avrey, and Dierks Seidl; two brothers: Perry (Carol) Rose and Jesse (Lori) Rose; and two sisters; sister-in-law: Mary Gale (John) Kuhn; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She is preceded in death by her dad Richard Rose; and parents-in-law: Gordon and Ruth Wierschke.
A funeral service for Melanie will be held at 12:00 NOON on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at BOETTCHER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 2401 Fieldcrest Drive, Kaukauna. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established.
