    Harold W. Vanden Heuvel, age 94 of De Pere died surrounded by family on Thursday September 12, 2013. Harold was born on August 22, 1919 in the Town of Lawrence to the late William and Agnes (Vanden Heuvel) Vanden Heuvel. He married Arleen Roffers at St. Boniface Church in De Pere. Harold graduated from Grant School in the Town of Lawrence. He was a dairy farmer and farmed the home farm all his life and always enjoyed having a garden. Harold was a volunteer fireman for 15 years for the Town of Lawrence Fire Department. Harold is a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish and was an usher for many years. He also was a member of Catholic Financial Life and was supportive of St. Norbert College. Harold will be greatly missed. Surviving Harold is his loving wife Arleen and many wonderful nieces and nephews. Bill (Joy) Vanden Heuvel, Elizabeth (Ralph) von dem Hagen, Rick (Deb) Vanden Heuvel, Nancy (Dave) Stellpflug, Mary (Robin) Adey, Theresa (Corey) Steffen, Patricia (Joe) Champ, Jean (Bill) Lemke, and John Vanden Heuvel and friend Melissa. He is further survived by sister in law Dolores Holl, brother in law and sister in law Harvey (Barbara) Roffers and brother in law Robert Grosse. Arleen's nieces and nephews also survive, Celine Rabida, Annette (Christopher) Cook, Michael Holl, Keith (Connie) Holl, Denise (Jim) Beaudry, Patricia (Gary) Nelson, Jeannine (Brian) Vanden Heuvel, Lynn (Brian) Katers, Lisa (Todd) Ambrosius, Kendra (Todd) Deschane, Peter Grosse, Julie (Jeff) Kaftan, Jim (Jennifer) Grosse, and many great nieces and nephews. Harold was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Albert "Sylvan" (Theresa) Vanden Heuvel, as well as his father and mother in law, Frank (Cecelia) Roffers, and brothers in law and sisters in law Walter (Rita) Jarosinski, Norman Roffers, Donna Mae Grosse, and Roy Holl.
    Friends may call at the RYAN FUNERAL HOME 305 N. Tenth Street in De Pere from 4 - 8pm Monday September 16, 2013. Visitation will continue after 8:30am Tuesday at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Family corner of Lourdes Ave. and Suburban drive in West De Pere. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am with Fr. Tim Shillcox O.Praem officiating entombment in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.
