    Bries, Norbert J.Norbert J. Bries, 86, died, Friday, Dec. 9, 2005, at an area nursing hom e. He was born April 25, 1919, in the Town of Lawrence, to the late Albe rt and Mary (Van De Hei) Bries. On June 14, 1947 he married Bernadette Win kel. Together, they were members of the Town Club and Mystery Hills Golf C lub. He enjoyed fishing in Sturgeon Bay. Norbert was a member of the U. S. Army from Feb. 26, 1941, through Aug. 29, 1945, serving in Ardennes Rhi neland Central Europe. He earned the Good Conduct Medal, American Defen se Service Ribbon, American Theater Ribbon, European-African-Middle Easte rn Theater Ribbon with three Bronze Battle Stars, five overseas service ba rs and one service stripe. Norbert was employed in auto sales with Van Dri sse Ford, Lincoln, Mercury; Cuene Buick; and Brennan Buick. He was al so a member of the Elks Club.Survivors include his wife, Bernadette "Dolly" Bries, Green Bay; son, Norb ert Michael (Patricia) Bries, Mundelein, Ill.; one grandchild, Michelle; t wo brothers, Gerald, Green Bay; Bryon (Kathleen), Madison; sisters-in-la w, nieces, nephews and other relatives.In addition to his parents, Norbert was preceded in death by five brother s, Robert, Sherman, Oliver, Donald and Jack Bries; one sister, Mildred Kas ter.A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.     Kaster, Mildred M.Mildred M. Kaster, 83, formerly of Green Bay, passed away at St. Mary's Ho me in Manitowoc on Holy Saturday, April 10, 2004. She had been residi ng in Manitowoc for the past three years. Mildred was born Nov. 19, 192 0, in the Town of Lawrence, to the late Albert and Mary (Van De Hey) Brie s. On Dec. 30, 1941, she married Martin S. Kaster. He preceded her in dea th on Easter Sunday, March 30, 1986. Mildred was a member of St. Joseph Ca tholic Church in Green Bay and a member of the Altar Rosary Society. She w as a good Mom with a great sense of humor, and a friendly, warm smile.She is survived by her children, Martin "Jay" and Debbie, Howard, Wis.; Ri chard and Nancy Rae, Oneida; Sr. Marsaia, Manitowoc; and Nancy A. Kaste r, Pittsfield; and a very special daughter-in-law, Nancy Marie Kaste r, De Pere; her grandchildren, Daun and Fred Heilmann, Green Bay; Steven a nd Kerri Kaster, Pittsfield; Jenny and Jon Morrow, Menasha; Amy Kaster a nd partner, Dale Leibowitz, Madison; Robert Kaster, Steamboat Springs, Col o.; Holly Kaster and Patrick Schroeder, Shorewood; Wendy and Mark Nyste d, Green Bay; and Trudy Propson, Appleton; her seven great-grandchildre n, Alex, Brittanny, Taylor, Kolbi, Logan, Mason and Dylan. Mason St ., on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Rosary, led by the Franciscan Sisters, wi ll be said at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Thursday at Nativity of O ur Lord Catholic Church, 2270 S. Oneida St., from 9:30 until the time of M ass. Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. at the church with the Rev. Len Eve rs and the Rev. Jim Hablewitz officiating. Entombment will be in the Allou ez Chapel Mausoleum.
    A memorial fund will be established in Mildred's name.
