Obituary:
ROLAND C. TESCH Funeral services will be held Thursday at Trinity Presbyterian Church, Chilton, for Roland C. Tesch, 64, prominent Chilton businessman, who died Sunday at Ochners Foundation Hospital, New Orleans, La., following an illness of several months. The Rev. Allen Bowe will officiate at the 2:30 p.m. services. Masonic rites will be held at the Erbe-Hoffmann Funeral Home, Chilton, at 7:30 this evening. The casket will remain closed, but members of the family will be at the church parlors from 1 p.m. Thursday to the time of the services. A memorial fund has been established in his name. Born in Chilton to the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Tesch, • Mr. Tesch followed his father in business and remained a Chilton resident his entire lifetime. Mr. Tesch attended high school in Chilton where he was active in sports, and continued his education at Lawrence Col- lege, Appleton, where he was a member of Delta of Delta Iota a local fraternity. He p l a y e d both football and basketball in college. Mr. Tesch also attended the University of Wisconsin where he was affiliated with the Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity. As president of Knauf & Tesch Company, one 6ne of Chilton's oldest industries, and an active member of the feed and grain trade, Mr. Tesch served on the board of the Central Retail Feed Association from 1944 to 1949 and was president of that group from 1946 to 1947. He also was an active member of the Wisconsin State Seed Dealers Association. Mr. Tesch was a charter member of the Chilton Kiwanis Club,. Masonic Lodge No., 154, and the Calumet Shrine Club. Being an avid sportsman, Mr. Tesch enjoyed golfing, bowling, hunting, and fishing., He was a member of the Senior Golf Association of Wisconsin, and a member of many local county and statewide sports groups. He is survived by his wife, Bernice, and one son, Steven.
