John Resch, 83, of Menasha, passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2013, at his home.
John was the son of the late Leonard and Marcella (Schwartzbauer) Resch. John served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
John married Patricia Boreson on September 13, 1958, and together they celebrated 54 years of marriage. He was a member of the American Legion. John loved going to the casino and playing cards with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Pat; a daughter, Kelly (Dan) Amundson; a sister, Barb Resch; sisters and brother-in-law: June & Ron Schultz and Kay Boreson Sawsville; and many nieces, nephews, and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by Leonard & Marcella Resch, Florence & Herb Porsche, and her son Rob & Betty Resch.
The memorial service for John will be Saturday, February 9, 2013, 11:00 a.m., at Menasha's Westgor Funeral Home, with Deacon Rick Dvorak officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Saturday until the hour of the service at the funeral home. Urn burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Menasha, at a later date. Military honors for John will be conducted after the memorial service at the funeral home by the United States Army and the Neenah/Menasha Veterans' Honor Group.
My Dad was in the 2nd Army Division-they called it "The 2nd to None". I'd call my Dad "2nd to None" - Love ya Dad, Kelly.

Obituary:
Barbara Ann Resch, age 77 years, of Menasha, passed away at her home on Thursday August 25, 2016 . She was born on August 19, 1939 in Neenah, Wisconsin to Marcella (Schwartzbauer) and Leonard Resch. Barbara lived her early years in the comfort and care of her family playing card games and community time at church activities including bingo. Barbara was a graduate of St. Mary's High School in 1957. She enjoyed her mini trips to local casinos often winning and sharing her winnings with her loved ones. Her travels also were casino centered and flew to Vegas for a memorable trip with her brother John (Patricia) her sister Betty, and her mother Marcella. Barbara was a regular at her lunch club with fellow retirees and co-workers from George Banta Co. She started at George Banta Co. in high school in the mailroom working up to the level of Assistant Service Director and retired after 45 years of dedicated service. Most of all she looked forward to a friendly game of cards among her family and friends.
Barbara will be dearly missed by her loving son Michael Resch, grandchildren Kimberly Resch and Brian Resch, great-grandchildren TaShawn, Dondre', Jamaris, Kevin and Elizabeth, sister-in-law Patricia Resch, nephew Jeffery Resch, nieces Paula (Steve) Basler, Kelly (Dan) Amundson, Mary Porsche and Kathy Gallow. Further survived by many great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents, sisters Florence (Hubert) Porsche and Elizabeth Resch, brother John Resch, nephews Rob Resch and Charles Porsche.
The Mass of Christian Burial for Barbara will be on Thursday September 1, 2016 at 11:30 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 528 2nd St., Menasha. Fr. Paul Paider celebrant. Private inurnment at a later date. Family and friends may gather at the Church from 9:30 am until time of Mass.
