    Obituary:
Odelia E. "Odie" Schneider, age 94, of Hilbert, died on Sunday, November 8, 2015 at Atrium Post Acute Care in Chilton. She was born July 8, 1921 in the Town of Charlestown, daughter of the late Frank & Gertrude (Daniels) Woelfel.
Odie graduated from New Holstein High School, class of 1940. She married Henry N. Schneider on May 7, 1941 at St. Martin Catholic Church in Charlestown. For 74 years, 6 months and 1 day, Henry and Odie showed everyone around them what an unconditional loving marriage looked like.
Having come from a family of 8 girls, it was quite a learning experience for Odelia to have 8 sons under her feet along with their 2 sisters, especially while attending parent teacher conferences at school. She dedicated her entire life to the care and nurture of her children, never once thinking they had too many. For a little lady, she had a lot of love to give to her children, but especially the time and attention she had for her little angel, Lyle. She was a great cook and stretched meals with the food she raised in her garden to feed the many mouths in her kitchen.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Hilbert where she also volunteered countless hours and talents to the Christian Women Society and crocheted prayer shawls with other members of St. Mary's. Odie was also a member of the Hilbert Branch of the Calumet County Homemakers Association, and was a very active member of Calumet County ARC, now known as New Hope Center, and served as the treasurer for many years.
In her free time, Odie looked forward to a good round of Sheepshead and time spent with her family; children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband: Henry; her children: Ron (Donna) Schneider of Sherwood, Janet (Milan) Deprez of Sherwood, Roger (Georgie) Schneider of Appleton, Alfred (Bonnie) Schneider of Hilbert, Gerald "Jake" Schneider of Oshkosh, Mark (Peggy) Schneider of Hilbert, John (Mary Jo) Schneider of Hilbert, Gloria (Jeff) Schwabenlander of Hilbert, Dave (Paula) Schneider of Hilbert; 24 grandchildren: Tim (Heather) Schneider, Chris (Jackie) Schneider, Nick (Jackie) Schneider, Lori (Andy) King, Dan Deprez, Nicole (Craig) Olson, Kevin (Linda) Schneider, Kari (Andy) Burns, Kim (Scott) Willison, Kory (Carrie) Schneider, Troy (Peggy) Schneider, Kelly (Eric) Thiel, Ryan (Ann) Schneider, Michael Schneider, Alisa (Jon) Mielke, Jacob Schneider, Heather (Brad) Lutes, Michelle (Dave) Puls, Scott (Wendy) Schneider, Sara (Emil) Paguia, Marc (Stacey) Schwabenlander, Lucas (Marissa Ronk) Schneider, Joel (Kathleen) Schneider, Justine (Tyler) Kiel; and 39 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son: Lyle Schneider; 7 sisters and their spouses; 3 brothers-in-law and 6 sisters-in-law and their spouses.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Hilbert. Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Friends may call at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday, November 13, 2015 and on Saturday at church from 9:30 am until 10:30 am. A Parish vigil service will take place Friday evening at the funeral home at 7:30 pm. A memorial fund has been established in the name of Odelia E. "Odie" Schneider for St. Mary Catholic Church in Hilbert and the New Hope Center in Chilton.
Odie's family would like to thank Dr. Randy Theiler, and the staffs of both Century Ridge and Atrium Post Acute Care in Chilton for all of the loving care that was shown to Odie and her entire family. They would also like to thank everyone who has offered Spiritual Support to the entire Schneider family.
