    Wildenberg, Mer in G.Merin G. Wildenberg, age 79, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2006, at The da Clark Medical Center, Neenah. He was born in Little Chute on March 3, 1 926, to Walter and Catherine (Verkuilen) Wildenberg. Merin married Peggy C lark on October 28, 1946. He was a veteran of World War II serving with t he U.S. Army Air Corp. and spent one year in Okinawa. He also worked and r etired from Appleton Paper, Combined Locks Plant.Merin is survived by his wife of 59 years, Peggy; six children: Joseph (Le anne) Wildenberg of Little Chute, Michael (Sharon) Wildenberg of Freedo m, Susan (Merl) Mantei of Combined Locks, Kater (Steve) Gaffney of Combin ed Locks, Mark (Nancy) Wildenberg of New London and Carrie Bevers of Kauka una; one brother and two sisters: Owen Wildenberg, Virginia Smith and Mild red Langedyke; 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren with two more on t he way; further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friend s.He was preceded in death by his parents and ten brothers and sisters.Private Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2006, at t he Valley Funeral Home.In lieu of other expressions of sympathy a memorial fund is being set up w ith the American Diabetes Association.

    Wildenberg, Joseph M. "Carp"
    Joseph M. Wildenberg, Little Chute, age 66, died Thursday September 25, 2014. He wanted me to tell everyone that he died unexpectedly. He never expected to live this long.
    Joe was born on December 23, 1947 in Plymouth, WI to the Merin and Peggy (Clark) Wildenberg. He was a member of the U.S. Army from 1966-69, having served in Vietnam from 1967-69 and was awarded a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star. Joe married Leanne Witthuhn on April 3, 1976 at St. Bernard Parish. He was a member of the Ironworkers Local #8 for 27 years before his retirement in 2000.
    Joe is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Leanne; son Jeremy (Isabel); grandchildren: Ethan, Seth, Kyra and Liam; mother Peggy; brothers: Mike (Gina) and Mark (Nancy); and sisters: Sue (Merl) Mantei, Kater (Steve) Gaffney and Carrie Bevers. He is further survived by in-laws: Larry (Elaine) Witthuhn, Deb (Bob) Gebheim, Cheryl (Mike) Seelow, Tim (Lori) Witthuhn, Terry (Kim) Witthuhn, Robin (Craig) Laehn and John Barkett; many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
    In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by sisters-in-law: Sharon Wildenberg and Sandy Barkett; and brother-in-law: Mike Witthuhn.
    A memorial gathering will be held Monday September 29, 2014 at O'CONNELL FUNERAL HOME (1776 E. Main St. Little Chute) beginning at 4:00 until time of Military Rites at 6:00 p.m. A memorial is being established. To sign the guest book, please visit oconnellfh.com.
